AYLUS.ORG has used Hostgator hosting service since 2015. At the time we signed up for their service, they advertised for unlimited storage. But now they do not provide unlimited storage. In early March this year, we contacted and debated with them. They agreed on our statement and lifted the storage limitation. But now, they re-install the storage limit. It makes our website unable to function properly. The website is used for a non profit, it promotes kids to do volunteering in their communities Over ******************************************************************* their reports, they include pictures during the activities so that we can verify their volunteer services. It demands a large storage space. We originally picked HostGator service, because they provided unlimited storage features. Now they're breaching their promise and cause this non-profit website can not function properly. We demand Hostgator lift the storage limit of this web hosting for AYLUS.ORG and keep their promise.

Bought a 36 month dedicated server package from them in Jan 2023 for my site asiagolfexperiences.com Have constant issues such as email being down/inaccessible, emails not being delivered to our regular suppliers due to poor record of BlueHost server (being blocked due to too much spam), website going offline. All of this comes with poor and almost dismissive 1st line responders. Takes multiple days for escalations to be replied to.They are not able to offer a stable platform and honour what theyre selling.I asked for a pro rated refund due to the business I have lost based on above issues and got told its working at the moment no refund issue resolved. Wasnt resolved on my books. They sell hosting but cannot provide stable hosting. Should not be in business. Very dishonest.

I purchased a Virtual Private Server from bluehost 1 year ago. Now on July 22nd, 2024 I was charged $1,553.76 for a Virtual Private Server from bluehost.com. This company upcharged me through automatic payments almost double of what I payed last year ($663.84) without properly notifying me. When I called them and asked they said I signed up with a promotional discount and that the real price of my server is $1553.76 annually, however when I go on the website the price for my exact server (4GB RAM and 2 CPU Cores) without a discount clearly says that it’s $803.88. When I told them this, they put me on hold for a while then said it’s a bug on their website and the engineers will have it fixed within the next 24-48 hours so you can see the “new price”. This is obviously a lie because what type of technology company mis-advertises the prices of their own product. I believe they are continuously changing the price of their products and secretly upcharge customers through automatic payments. They have done this many times to me where they lie and say the issue you’re seeing is being worked on and months later there’s no follow up and the problem has not been touched. I wouldn't have renewed my account if I knew it would be this high and because they won’t refund me I’m stuck with them for another year. If you do a simple google search for whether bluehost is a scam you’ll see plenty more reviews like on Reddit of many more victims because of these scammers. Please help. I am in the middle of moving and this has ruined me financially for the rest of my year.

My website has been crashing repeatedly, with three instances in the span of five days and numerous times over the last few months. They have refused to provide a detailed explanation for the cause of the problem or take steps to prevent it. My site has been on the service for more than twenty years. They are refusing the compensate me for the inconvenience and damage their service has done to my brand.Their messages have been, "Business said We are currently experiencing issue with our server due to which our customers are experiencing issue. Our senior engineers are working on the issue. We apologize for this service interruption, we know that you count on us, and our team is working as quickly as possible to restore full service for all customers. I assure you that the issue will be resolved soon."

The company tried to upsell me to purchase an additional service that costs over $200.00. They still refused to take steps to resolve the issue, though technical support is supposed to be included in the service they provide.

Bluehost won't let me cancel a charge I did not intend to renew. They will not give me a partial refund for 11 months of services I do not want. I cannot get a partial refund for $257.36 I had no intention of spending. I spent a long time with a person over chat before he told me I could not receive even a partial refund.

I purchased a domain name from BlueHost on 8/30/21. I set this domain name to be automatically renewed each year (placed on my credit card). Without informing me or obtaining my authorization, they fraudulently charged me for a WordPress hosting plan. They continued to do this each year when they automatically renewed my domain name.

They would sneak this into the domain name invoice and make it seem as if it was simply the domain name renewal. They fraudulently charged the following amounts on the following dates:
      8/30/21 $101.48
      8/16/22 $119.88
      8/16/23 $131.88

I spoke with BlueHost's customer service. They first claimed that these invoices were not from BlueHost. After I sent them proof, they then said they only offer refunds if you contact them 15 days PRIOR to the charge. This is absurd!

I suspect that they are doing this to all of their customers and will be contacting a lawyer as I strongly suspect there are grounds for a class action case due to this fraudulent activity.

I have informed my credit card company about this and am in the process of transferring my domain name to a reputable company.

There are also misleading practices regarding their user interface. They are using scare tactics, bright red and yellow warning boxes, automatically checking radio buttons and hiding/disguising cancel and opt out buttons. All of this will be reported to the lawyer.

I had a professional website for which I recently renewed the hosting and domain registration. Hosting is with PowWeb and the domain was registered with a 'sister company', Verio. ***** mistakenly did not renew my domain after accepting my payment. As such, my site was deleted from PowWeb's hosting service. PowWeb refuses to refund my payment for hosting although there is no site to host. PowWeb and Verio are ultimately the same company. The representative I spoke with from PowWeb regarding the issue was able to access secure (security question protected) information regarding the domain from Verio. They are on the same system. Since that is the case, I feel it is reasonable to expect a refund from both ***** and PowWeb. I have only been offed a refund from Verio for the domain registration.

      Date of transaction: 6-6-24
Transaction amount: $718.08 for 3 years of webhosting
A separate transaction on $149 also took place on 6-6-24 for website migration where the vendor agreed to activate my website from webfiles provided by the developer of the website.
Many attempts were made to find out progress of website migration until finally on 7-11-24 I concluded they did not have the ability to do the work and requested a refund. The only refund I got was for $149 for the website migration which was never completed. They kept the $718.08 for webhosting even though there is no website to host, claiming the cancellation was outside the 30 day cancellation policy. The reason the cancellation was after the 30 days is because the vendor was still attempting to activate my website though unsuccessful. And I made several requests regarding the status of the website via email that went unanswered prior to the end of the 30 day period (probably intentionally so they could keep the money!)
I have since engaged with another vendor for website migration and hosting, and they had my website up and running in two days!!

I’m seeking a full refund from an auto renewal that I didn’t approve on 6/29/2024 for $981.63 which I proved to be negligent and they said I would be getting refunded.I have proof of that in attachments below with my conversation with Bluehost. Also, I contacted them on 2/4/2023 via email regarding some charges that occurred but I never received an email back and they continued to charge me 3 more times in the amount of $237.68. At that point, I could’ve canceled everything.
It all started on July 15, 2021 when i contacted Bluehost with a question regarding a website/ domain for a very small etsy business. This was very unfamiliar territor. I was charged on July 15th for an initial amount of $217.31 for a year contract. I continued to be charged in 2021 & 2022 via paypal which I didn’t notice but take full responsibility for because I should have been more vigilant and contacted them sooner. I’ve never activated/used a website this entire time I was paying for it . I contacted Bluehost on 7/2/2024 regarding a charge of $981.63 because it over withdrew my account. They initially said I wouldn’t get a refund per policy, then changed it to only having me pay for 1 year $458.69( which my initial amount was way less!) and refund me $522.94. Then once I showed proof of my initial payment and date proving them that they falsely charge me early for a 3 year auto renewal I never signed up for, they said I would be refunded! Since then they have emailed twice saying they are unable to refund me due to my payment method and it needs to be updated. I’ve done it 2 times and feel they are just holding my money from me. I’ve never had an issue getting a refund back from a merchant EVER! In the images provided they are numbered to keep the conversation in order. As you can see, if I didn’t continually fight for my money back, I would have be scammed out of $1,212.31!!
