Unfortunately it is an unethical company that scams its customers by fees without ever giving the customer an opportunity to get a fair deal. Its hidden fees and manipulation tactics have scammed numerous customers in both instances that we were there (check in and check out)

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Everything about this company is a scam and is based on deceitful practices. They know you are stuck if you do not agree to their terms, and they use that as much as they can to their advantage. Tried to force me to buy their insurance and give them a security deposit of $2500, which I refused. I knew it would be hard to make other arrangements on the spot, but I immediately started googling other car rental companies. I have to assume they were concerned that I might succeed, so they dropped it down to $500, but there was no reason I should have had to have paid that. So my rental of originally $259.95, ending up costing over $700. I have emailed (because I want documentation) them to inquire as to when I will be refunded the security deposit, and I got an automated response stating my inquiry was received and they will attempt to have my case resolved within 28 working days. ****** learned with these folks.

This place is a pure scam. We parked our car there because its considered offsite parking for half the price from the airport. We told them that we did not want to leave our keys. They forced us to. We told them that we are writing down the mileage and when we got back, there were 400 extra miles on my car conveniently this is also a rental car place while we were at the airport boarding our car my phone got an alert that someone unlocked my car. I was flying out of the country, they deleted my cell phone from my own car so that my alerts would not come through while I was gone. This place is a scam and they should be charged with car theft.

Let me start by saying that the car I rented itself was totally fine, so I am not unhappy in that regard. Pick up and drop off was fairly straightforward. Shuttle to and from the airport was adequate. The price per day for the rental was fair. This is the only reason I'm providing 2 stars instead of 1. However, the lack of customer service and shady business practices that this place takes part in really left a poor impression. I was basically forced into purchasing additional insurance before picking up the vehicle. I told the agent at the desk that I was pretty sure my own home state auto insurance covers out of state rentals. They proceeded to argue with me that I would not be covered, and would not let me leave without purchasing their scam Collision Deductible Waiver policy. I was FORCED into purchasing this policy before taking delivery of the vehicle. So, what choice did I have? I took the car, went to get a quick bite to eat, and called my auto insurance company to verify that they indeed to cover out of state rentals through my policy. I tried to reach One Switch customer service, got several people who spoke limited English, gave me the runaround on the phone for over a half hour, and refused to help me with my issue of canceling their scam CDW policy. I called the ***** agency where I rented the car, also got the runaround, and was on the phone for almost a half hour. Finally, they told me "oh we have to escalate this, call the main customer service number in a few hours." So, that's exactly what I did... Here we go again for another 1 hour phone call with someone who can't seem to understand the issue that I had insurance this whole time, and was forced into paying for their scam CDW policy. They finally agreed to refund some of the charges for the additional coverage... However, they would only refund from the next day forward because "you used the policy when you drove the car off the lot, and you should've provided your own proof of insurance then."

****, buyer beware! This is the worst bait and switch car rental company I’ve ever dealt with. I should’ve known the prices were too good to be true. Waited 45 mins for shuttle and get to the place to wait as third in line. The families in front of us were struggling because they were trying to charge an elderly couple $600 for insurance and then $1000 deductible deposit off the bat. They would not let them refuse the insurance charge. It gets to be our turn and the guy looks up our reservation to tell us we’re 11 mins after the 1 hour reservation window. Rental was booked for 3, so even though we were in the building at 3:45, we didn’t get to the desk until 4:11, so the “system gave away the car” and they could not rent to us. So we were completely stranded 15 mins from the airport after shuttling there. Horrid customer service, and the families in front cancelled the whole reservation so what happened to those cars? Made no sense.

Absolute worst experience ever with a car rental company. They wanted to charge 500$ more than quoted cost online when I booked it. 2 customers left without cars that they had pre-booked and another paid an additional 300 to leave with hers--definitely a scam!! Do NOT use this company/ Even the uber driver we called to pick us up said he had gotten scammed by them :(

A very sketchy company. Rented me a car with damage and when I noticed the damage later I contacted them and I though I had been in a hit and run. Wanted to charge my insurance for the repair. Then wanted to take a $1000 from my credit card with no estimate of repair. Advised them i was going to contact a lawyer to ensure i was not being taken advantage off. Then the lady makes a phone call comes back and tells me the car was damaged when I picked it up and that I was not responsible. Wow I believe the company had every intention of fixing the vehicle at my expense.

They will get you on the insurance. It cost double the car rental cost. They also do not except AMX. So its not possible to use the insurance that AMX offers.

I wish there was an option to give zero stars. Please, do not rent anything from this company. I reserved a car about a month before a trip to ******* (2/22 - 3/3). I was quoted an estimated price of $223. I even called the company about a week prior to our trip to make sure my insurance (USAA) was sufficient coverage. Even USAA told me I was covered for a rental car. Upon checking in, the girl at the desk informed me I needed to add their collision coverage at an additional $270, plus put down a $500 deposit. To date, that deposit has yet to be credited back to my CC.I don't think this company (also goes under York and RentCar) cares about customer service. They only rake in the money, hoping people won't complain. I've rental from other companies in ******* and ***** over the last 5 years. This is the first time I had to pay extra for their insurance.

I would not recommend this company at all!. They grab you with low daily rates, then force you to take insurance stating they don't accept yours (a major common carrier). They still have a $500 security deposit hold on my card, 2 weeks after I returned the car. You can't reach anybody in 'customer service', they tell you to email your concern and never respond.
