1 starI rented a car in ft lauderdale, and they took a $750 deposit from me, and three weeks later, they have not released it. I have called them every day, and I keep getting the runaround. I only rented the car for one day and returned it in the same condition, I keep being told to just wait for my deposit. stay away from these people.One Switch Rent A Car

1 starworst rental car ever. When I got to the counter after 1 hour, I was askef for a copy of my auto insurance.They wanted the number. I asked if I called Progressive, they could give it to me. They refused saying they want a copy of my policy. I said I have rented cars for years, and never had this. If you don't take their ************** they will not rent you a car/ ************* was $28.99 a day.They also have several other names like Mex rent a car , and about 8 other names. That way when people complain, they have the complaints more spread out. They are a horrible company.One Switch Rent A Car

When making a reservation online, our system clearly outlines the required documentation needed at the time of rental. One of the key requirements is a valid insurance policy that includes minimum liability coverage as well as full collision and comprehensive coverage.
We simply ask for proof of this coverage. As long as you are able to provide valid documentation, we are more than happy to proceed with the rental. However, if you are unable to present an insurance policy that meets these requirements, we will not be able to release the vehicle.
In such cases, you have the optional opportunity to purchase *************************************** directly from us should you wish to continue with your rental.

1 starI parked my truck here through ******************************. I felt like I've been blindsided by unfair business practice when they told me that I have to pay double the price they quoted my during online reservation. They told me because I have a truck. Then why didn't they put it in their website when I was doing my reservation?! My flight was in 2 hours so they held me hostage by saying "Pay up or you can't park here." What a bunch of fraudsters. 1 starIf I can give a negative 5 stars I would, this had to had been the worst experience even with a rental company!! I truly would never recommend this company to anyone!! I rented a 12 passenger to go on an amazing trip with my family from ***** to *******, HA, big surprise for me after waiting over 3 hours in line(only 4 people in front of me) to get a rental I come to find out that I can't leave out of ******* and if I do I will get charged a fine of 1000 plus .25 cents a mile out of *******!!! This company is a big scam!! So many people were upset that day!! When you reserve on online it notes that its unlimited miles, HA again big surprise when you get to the counter yeah the lady was like no it's only 50 miles per days! ARE YOUR SERIOUS, who in there right mind would rent a car to only travel 50 miles a day so unrealistic!!!This keeps going don't stop reading!! Only it states that a deposit has to be made or 500 to 1000 per car rental but when I got to the counter the lady charged us $2,500 dollars as a deposit!! My goal was to get out of there at this point I was so heart broken because I wasn't sure if I was able to give my kids the trip I planned!! This lady at the counter started screaming at me and telling me there is nothing that can be done that she was going to cancel my reservation if I didn't stop questioning her!! I was being forced to use there ******* and I have my own ******* I was forced to get the company insurance when I have a full coverage insurance for rentals, this was overall the worst experience ever!! I know someone is going to read this and nothing will be done because that is how all these corporate companies work.And thats just what i have one the buisness standpoint, the vehicle looked in great condition, but the rear view camera did not work for most of the trip. We advised the counter lady so i hope she reported that. Worked for one time when I get home to pick up my luggage. After that it did not work at all.One Switch Rent A Car

I also apologize for the issue with the backup cameraif it was functioning only partially during your rental, we were not aware of the malfunction, but we will certainly look into it.
Regarding your concerns about our out-of-state policy and unlimited mileage:
Please note that when booking through our partner sites, there is a clearly stated policy that our vehicles are not permitted to leave the State of *******, and that unlimited mileage does not apply to local residents.

1 starWorst car rental experience. This company should be banned and should not be in business. They make you buy extra supplemental liability insurance. If the demand for car rentals is high, they will not honor the car rentals if you are late to the counter by 15 minutes. Wait time at the counter sometimes exceeds more than 1 hour. Also, they ask for the declaration page from your car insurance(haven't seen any other car rental doing this). Sometimes they charge high deposit($500) without any explanation. One other thing, this car rental comes up when planning to book through airport car rentals, however they are off airport. If there is an option for negative rating, I would do that to this company. Front desk is horrible and rude. Booked reservation for 5 days from Nov 26th.Hope this business shuts down soon.Review fromAlicia B

1 starSTAY AWAY! This company advertised your deposit returned in 15 days, contract says 30 days. I returned my car on November 19th, no issues, and it is now January 2nd, the following year, and they still have not returned deposit. I was told 2 different dates, and these dates have came and gone. Had to file a dispute on my credit card and they haven't responded to the last 3 emails. **************Review fromAndres M

1 starTHIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BEEN IN BUSINESS.I rented from them twice in two weeks. Nov 4th to Nov 7th, and then Nov 11th to Nov 14th, 2024. Reservations #***** and # *****.They requested $250 deposit each time ($500 total). I returned both cars without any issues. I reached out to them 10 days after my second reservation (Nov 24th) about he reimbursement. They replied two days later stating the reimbursement takes 2 weeks ( due already by then of course). Since I didn't received the money back a few days later, I decided to contact my credit card company and they are currently handling it.I received one reimbursement for $250 on Dec 18th ( 6 weeks after my first rental - rental dates: Nov 4th to Nov 7th). Nonetheless, I'm still waiting for the reimbursement for the second rental deposit (Nov 11th to Nov 14th)THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! It would be fair for people in the same situation to get compensated for the interest earned by that amount. Can the BBB assess this company's mal practices and take actions please?Review fromJose T

1 starHorrible service!!!I had a reservation and they cancelled without notice. I found out when I was at the branch (*****) but no reason was given to me on why. Well, I needed a rental, so I paid full price and they asked for a secure deposit. I'm talking October 2024 first week.Two months later I receive an email:" a refund has been issued" for less money because I did return the car late. That was no delay, I returned the car when it was still dark in the morning and was supposed to have until 11am.I replied asking for the invoice, never had a response and THERE IS NOT REFUND ANYWHERE!This has to stop, this people are deceiving. Oh, the phone number listed with extensions 113 and 114 don't work. Only way to try to contact them is through email., good luck if you get a reply.
