Horrible service!!!I had a reservation and they cancelled without notice. I found out when I was at the branch (*****) but no reason was given to me on why. Well, I needed a rental, so I paid full price and they asked for a secure deposit. I'm talking October 2024 first week. Two months later I receive an email:" a refund has been issued" for less money because I did return the car late. That was no delay, I returned the car when it was still dark in the morning and was supposed to have until 11am.I replied asking for the invoice, never had a response and THERE IS NOT REFUND ANYWHERE!This has to stop, this people are deceiving. Oh, the phone number listed with extensions 113 and 114 don't work. Only way to try to contact them is through email., good luck if you get a reply.

They really deserve zero stars. First off the guy at the desk was very disrespectful and rude to me and everyone else that was in line. He stated that we had to buy insurance which was a lie. Our insurance covers rental. Also he pushed the Toll coverage which we did not need. We had to put down a $500 deposit which we did not get back for almost a month. We had to inspect their car for damages which I thought was not something they should do. We will never use this company again or recommend them.

I rented a car for 4 days from Nextcar by One Switch in *******, ** (10/14/24 - 10/19/24). When I picked up the car, the rental agent who went over the rental agreement with me convinced me to purchase the FL unlimited toll pass for $64.95. I have since learned that as of 10/14/24 the tolls across ******* ******* have been suspended until further notice for Hurricane ******. So I am requesting a full refund of for the purchase of the FL unlimited toll pass that was suspended by Governors Order, and I got no response from them. Also, I still have not received my $500 security deposit back on my credit card to date. Very disappointed!!!

Team Priceline,Please see notes below from my horrible experience with Mex Rent a Car / One Switch. As per my earlier conversation around 9:25am with ***** from Priceline. I will be contacting a lawyer based on the information I have obtained and the unfair treatment I received from a company that was recommended by *********. I went over my experience again with Honey (supervisor) at Priceline. This company needs to be removed off of your rental car suggestions list. They required every customer to put down a $1,000 deposit then provided me with an old rental vehicle with no registration. This information was found out when I paid a tow company $200 plus to return the car because of a flat tire. The receipt from the tow company is in the link below. I am expecting a full refund for ALL of my money spent. Both Mex Rent A Car/ One Switch and Priceline can expect to hear from my lawyer. I do hold Priceline responsible for suggesting an unethical shady company. First I went to pick up the car and was told $1,000 deposit and all of these other fees for riding on toll roads if I did not select coverage so I decided not to drive the car around. It stayed parked at the ********************************************************************************************************************. I will be putting in a request for camera footage from the hotel. After looking the car over I realized it was an old car for your standard rental. I also noticed the tires looked old but I drove it to the hotel where it stayed parked.Sunday morning I went out to the car so I could return it to the rental company Mex Rent A Car / One Switch and noticed the front right tire was flat. I tried calling Mex Rent A Car / One Switch multiple times and made 7 phone calls to them but no one picked up the phone, stayed on hold then the phone disconnected. So I went to them explained the tire being flat they accused me of doing something and said I had to pay for the car to get back to them.

This place is a scam. Went through a $1.75 toll, they charged us $208. Rock hit the windshield. They made us put down a $1000. Then asked us for another $594. Plus they kept the $250 deposit. This windshield cost us $1844. If I could give negative stars I would.

They charged me for car insurance even thought my company purchased car insurance when the booked the car! They also charged over $100 in incorrect toll fees that were not for the vehicle I rented! They told me that they did not believe me that they were not my charges. There were toll fees from before the time I even rented the vehicle on the day I picked up the vehicle! They got my bank to re-imburse them for the fraudulent charges and sent me an email that they finally realized the charges were a mistake and they would be re-imbursing me and 6 months later I sill have not received my money back!!!

On the evening of July 5, 2024, my family and I experienced the most negligent consumer experience of our entire lives at the hands of one of this companys employees. This company was obligated to have a rental car available for us to pick up around 10PM on July 5, 2024. After the shuttle finally picked us up and brought us to the car rental site, we eventually met Darlenus. With a frown on her face, she merely asked for our confirmation number. Upon giving it to her, she typed it in and proceeded to tell us that our reservation had been canceled since we were supposed to have picked up the car at 10AM. When I produced our reservation to show her, indisputably, that the reservation was made for 10PM, she told me I was wrong. At this point, it was close to midnight because we had to wait in line after the delayed shuttle pickup. Understandably, our eight-year-old and eleven-year-old daughters were exhausted and couldnt understand why we were being denied a rental car that had been properly reserved. My wife and I asked to speak to ********* manager, and her reply was I dont have a manager. Shocked by such an unprofessional response, I asked for a number for customer service. She rudely handed me a business card with five different numbers on it. When I asked her to identify the one number I should call, she sullenly underlined one.I called the number and eventually was connected to ***************************. He confirmed that our reservation was made for 10PM, not 10AM, and attempted to rectify the situation. However, he ran into difficulty modifying the original reservation, and the delay in receiving our rental car continued. At this point, it was well after midnight, and we finally decided as a family that this company didnt deserve our business. At that late hour, we had to resort to using Uber to transport us to our hotel. Imagine a family with two young, desperately tired children, stranded on *************** at nearly 1AM, waiting for an Uber.

I will give ZERO start if I can. AVOID this company. COMPLETELY SCAM.I rented a car last Dec from ***** at ************* location. The counter agent forced me to purchase additional auto insurance even though I told him I already had insurance and my credit card covers my rental insurance as well. He simply dismissed my claims and told me that my auto insurance didn't qualify the company's policy. I have already waited for over two hours to pick up the rental car. Strongly suggest Expedia.com and other travel service websites stop promoting their business!

One Switch Consumer reviews This was the worst experience renting a car in 50 years. When we arrived, the unfriendly counter clerk demanded proof that our credit card had been charged the initial booking fee of $154.19. This is the first time this has ever happened, and required a complicated 15 minute effort to contact ***** get a copy of the charge texted to us, and presented to the clerk. The information provided at book as well as the One Switch Website does not present what additional charges will be assessed at check in. The final charge was $654.8.We were told that ******* law required the purchase of SLI-ORSC (personal liability insurance). The One Switch website states The following options (my emphasis) are available to add at the counter: *********************************** . . We were told it was required, not optional. A ****** search consistently returned the answer that it was not required. Furthermore, the website states accepting this option provides the renter and (my emphasis) authorized drivers for $15.99 USD plus tax. But One Switch charged this fee for both drivers. The total charge for what we told was mandatory was $239.92.One Switch also imposed what it calls a ***** Privilege Fee OF $53.38. I could find no mention of this fee on ******, and a representative from **** at ******************* told me she had never heard of it.I repeatedly asked One Switch in a series of email exchanges for the statutory basis for requiring liability insurance and the ***** Privilege Fee and never received a reply. I can provide the complete record of my email exchanges if requested. One Switch also failed to answer nearly all of my other questions and requests for information. They were totally unresponsive. This was a nightmare. There is no way I (or anyone else) should ever rent from the multiple companies operating under the One Switch name.
