One Switch is a scam!Never even got the car!Pick up has been scheduled and confirmed by One Switch (OS) outside their operating hours. We have learned it the hard way: upon the arrival at the airport, not being able to get to the final destination and making a bunch of ad hoc expenses (such as driving all over the place with uber)The first thing next day in the morning, we have called OS to check if they are effectively open, confirm their address and car availability (all 3 confirmed to us on the phone)However when we finally got to OS 'office' (which is a dirty garage with not a single indication that OS is actually loacted there) we have been informed that we are not going to get the car because of NO SHOW. If there was any no show - it was on the side of OS(they were closed at the time of agreed pick up and they knew it from the beginning)What was even more outrageous, is that the same employee has told us, that there are cars available and that we can get the one which we have ordered, if we place a new booking and pay again. We obviously refused. There was no manager present to proceed with an escalation When I have asked OS ('in cognito' employee who would not introduce herself), how can I raise a dispute or a claim against them, the employee told me that I am supposed to call the manager. They do not even have any official way of raising disputes or claims at OS. After insisting to get anything on paper from OS I got a 'visit card' from a individual; however the card was not even stating OS as company. The employee of OS also wanted to send us away without any document. I insisted on receiving a document from them, stating the reason why they reject to fulfill their contractual agreement. The employee has printed one pager with the booking details and no show stated at the top of the page. She did not bother to put any signature, date or a company stamp. She only did so after I told her I would not leave 'the office'.

DO NOT rent from this company. I rarely write reviews but renting a car from One Switch was absolutely the worst travel experience of my life. I was quoted $130.40 online but was made to buy extra insurance coverage at the desk (even though I am fully insured for rentals). I waited for two hours for the airport shutlle which I was promised several times would be there in 10 minutes - IT WASN'T EVEN RUNNING THAT NIGHT. The rental desk lied to me every time I called. I had t take a cab to their location which cost an additional $36.00. There were at least 8 people in line ahead of me, each one with a similar issue. Two women actually cried. After 6 months of back and forth, they finally refunded my cab fare and gave me a pathetic 5% discount for my experience. My $130 rental still cost me. $478. Do yourself a favor and rent from a slightly higher cost but reputable company. You will actually save money. One Switch is a scam with unprofessional employees. It should be called Bait and Switch. Steer clear!

This company is a scam! I regretted renting a car from here the moment we got off the plane. Renters bewarethis company is not who you think they are. This company needs to be shut down for how they scam and take advantage of people. They coerce and use scare tactics to take advantage of people financially. Do your research and stay away!

I have full cover insurance. They did not accept my insurance and the information about the insurance they accepted was not online. They FORCED us to pay around $500 dollars additionalto the amountwe already paied. The manager never came out to speakwith us. The people working at the counter, did not care or wanted to help. If we decide to not pay and cancel the reservations, we would forfeit $300 dollars per reservation. (we had 2 vehicles). I will never rent from this company again. I will tell everyone I know and I will report them to the BBB.

Shysters, Crooks, Thieves is what Next Car / One Switch is - I booked on Expedia as they seemed the most cost effective. Little did I know that I was walking into a f**** storm of lies and deceit. If you don't have prime insurance with high coverage - be ready to get shafted, I watched at least 4 to 5 sets of people leave this establishment due to their crooked and unjust business practices. They were asking these renters to give a $2500 rental deposit and if you had poor insurance, your ONLY option was to buy there insurance - be warned, there is a reason why their prices are SO low! I have GEICO with high coverages, so I was fine with my insurance coverage, but I was asked to leave a $2500 deposit on my cc, or pay a waiver deductible fee of $35.99 per day to utilize a $500 security deposit. Also Expedia states on their contract that the security deposit is $500 and not a bs fee of $2500 nor does Expedia mention any waiver deductible fee of $35.99 per day! I had no option since securing a rental elsewhere would have costed more due to notice, so I opted to pay the $35.99 a day after leaving a $500 deposit. But I never again will make this mistake with "One Sh*t - I mean ONE SWITCH" rent a car.

While waiting in line, each customer ahead of us got into a yelling match with the person behind the counter. A person was being told that their personal car insurance wasn't good enough, and they wanted a $2500 security deposit. When he asked for documentation, they printed him a document that literally said "sample" on it, and said it wasn't in their practice to print a receipt. We had purchased extra insurance online. In addition, the person behind the counter wanted proof of our own car insurance. They said we had to call our company and get a Proof of Insurance. Our insurance agent wanted to fax our POI to the rental car company, but the company didn't have a fax number (!!). I had to have the document sent to me in an encrypted email. Since the garage had no wifi, I had to go behind the desk to access and print the document. Once it was printed, the person behind the counter claimed that they had never heard of this (major insurance) company and wouldn't accept the insurance. They wanted us to pay $350 per person to buy their insurance. In the end, we only put one driver on the waiver to avoid paying the fee twice. We had booked the rental for $59 online, and in the end paid $400 plus taxes. They also put a $300 security deposit on our credit card that they didn't tell us about. Since they wouldn't give us a receipt we didn't know until later in the day. When we were on line waiting for the rental car we met a gentleman who had gone through the same thing. They refused to accept his ******************** and he had to pay the $350. They had also charged him a $2500 security deposit. We also met a second family who had taken a rental car several days before and were returning it. The registration on the car was expired and they had been pulled over by the police twice. As they were bringing the car around to us, they bumped it into another car!

If you want to ruin your vacation right off the bat rent a car with them. Our $200 prepaid car ended up being $600. I had already paid for what they called “full covered insurance”, once I got to the place they said it was not an insurance.. it was an extension to your personal insurance that you are supposed to have previous to arriving. They accept all credit card except American Express, when I get there I tried to pay with my Apple Credit card and they don’t accept it. My wife gives her card to get out of the situation and now they charge more for adding her as a driver even tho she wasn’t driving. They are gonna rip you off one way or another. Rent a car a reputable place and not this crap. I wonder if they are gonna charge me for leaving this review as well. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

This is a ****. Our vacation started horrible because of this ****. I waited and every person there more than 3 hours in line because every person had issues (of course) with their charges. My prepaid $200 rental ended up being $700 because they charge for a lot of things. For a Corolla!!! Dont rent with them and save money and peace.
