      I set up a rental for a Dodge 2500 truck 2 weeks in advance. I needed to move 2 beds and multiple coolers. When I arrived to get the truck, they said no trucks are available. They wanted to give me a compact car for same price???I waited an hour and all they could give me was a tiny jeep compass. I did not have any other means of travel so i had to take it. I had to also go rent a uhaul pickup truck to move beds. So I had to go return truck. Because of that, i had to extend my rental of the jeep by one day. I was charged an additional $120.This was a nightmare. I have zero trust in renting from hertz again. And I rent vehicles quite often. Edit: After i left bad review, they sent me an email saying I damaged the vehicle lol! There was absolutely no damage from me! It had a ding in the windshield is what they are saying I did. They do not walk over vehicle with you before leaving like other rental companies do. They replied to my email and said contact them. I tried, nope they didnt help. Just made it worse by falsely accusing me of damage. Apparently they falsely accuse people of damage to vehicles, like they did me. Save yourself from a nightmare and use someone else.

      I reserved a vehicle through Expedia, a "wild card COMPACT (or larger)," thinking the "or larger" meant like a sedan or an SUV. They gave me a 12-passenger van! for 2 people who originally wanted a COMPACT! And when I tried to change it back to a compact, they were going to charge me double the price of my reservation, and that was their "discounted rate." So we take the van, no issues for the rest of our trip. One MONTH after we returned the car, they sent a very vague letter in the mail, stating that we owe $2500 for damages. They did not specify what the damage was or what repairs they had to make. So we disputed the claim, and the "damage" they had to repair were some very minor scratches on the side of the van, at least one of those being preexisting, which, thank god, I had a picture of! After 3 tries, I finally connected with my "assigned" customer service agent, and when she sent me the detailed work report, they decided to spend 25 HOURS to take off paint, repaint, re-gloss the entire back fenders on both sides of the van. Absolutely ridiculous for minor scratches you can barely see! Thankfully, I called and disputed and got the claim dismissed, this was a complete and total scam! Will never ever rent from this organization again.

      My first car was filthy and smelled awful. I had to turn it in for a replacement. My second car was better, but the interior windows was covered with a film. First thing I did wash wash the windows and my paper towels were literally black from the first swipe. This company needs to re-evaluate their company culture. There is no way this is acceptable from a modern day corporation.

      I made a reservation to pickup a car to use for a day for 40 dollars from Priceline. When I got there, the guy told me they don’t accept chime. I left the place and my mom stayed to talk and to pay for it with her card. When I came back in, the guy was trying to tell her it’s a minimum of 3 days and was trying to charge her 350 dollars. Steer far and clear away from this place. They just tried to charge my card for $32.29 which is what made me make this complaint! After they literally told me they can’t use chime cards too.

      I rented a car through Dollar/Hertz rental car. The next day the tire blew out on the interstate. I had to leave the car on the side of the road to get help. The limit to leave the car is 6 hours, but I returned in 2 hours. They had towed the car. I called the FHP and they told me where the car was. I called the towing company and they would not allow me to pick up the car without Dollar signing a release and sending a copy of the Title of the vehicle to prove that it is their car. They signed the release, but will not send the title. The towing company will not release the car and says that it will take 3-10 business days for Dollar's wrecking service to pick up the car. All Dollar has to do is send a copy of the Title to the car, but will not. I am being charged for every day that the towing company has the car, with the towing company and the rental company, cost of the towing, along with the original charges for rental. I tried calling the corporate office, because the local office in Pensacola, Florida (Airport Rental) says that there is nothing that they can do to help, because it is the home office who will not release the title, but there is no home office number. Every number takes me right back to Pensacola's local office because of my rental record number. I asked for the legal department so that I could have my legal representative to contact their legal and they gave me the runaround with that and then gave me a customer service email. Hertz/Dollar does not take care of their customer. An issue that can be resolved with just the push of a button, will now take 3-10 working days and thousands of dollars later of which I will have to pay it all. Unacceptable and I will never rent from them again and will tell all of my friends to never rent from them again.

      SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! If you rent through this company, video tape all areas of the vehicle before you leave and on return. There is no attendant to check for damage at checkout or return, and they will attempt to fraudulently charge you for damage that did not occur. After you receive the notice, they make you jump through hoops to reach someone to dispute their claim. I will not pay for their flimflam, nor will I allow my insurance company. They need to be investigated.

      I rented a car through thrifty car rental, went to pick it up, no problem, then asked for Two(2) additional days rent, the agent no problem, I said I do not need any additional coverage (which I have always done in the past. Gave me the rental slip but do not specify that there were additional coverage. I found out once it was posted to my visa only to find that put on the additional coverage without my consent. I call Hertz/Thrifty said I had to return the car to Detroit airport at that time as I explained to the service rep I was over 200 miles away and had to go through customs there and back, the person basically said can’t help. Hung up. I disputed the bill on visa and it came back no change over $400 overcharged for something I did not want or requested. Tried to contact Thrifty only to get a service call center, asked to be contacted to anyone in the US they said no. For others thinking to rent a car from Thrifty/Hertz don’t do it never going to recommend this company to anyone

      I rent through the Uber program I have paid my rental on time but they keep saying I am a week behind I have called the head office several times and all they keep saying is I have not made the payment I have gone to the hertz office for Uber on old hickory and shown them where the payment still remains pending I have been trying to resolve this several times with no luck the Uber hertz office are rude and unhelpful as well as head office

      DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY WILL TRY THEIR BEST TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. I rented a car through hertz recently with the full coverage insurance, which I verified was full coverage while on the phone with them. I was hit on the highway, and called the hertz roadside assistance line, where they verified again that I had full coverage and that they would pick it up and nothing further would be required from me. A couple of weeks later, I see a charge for $1,200 on my credit card that they tried to sneak through. When calling in, they refuse to refund it and instead try their best at tactics to delay me. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS PLACE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU, AND FIGHT YOU WHEN YOU TRY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
