      Hertz has been double charging and miss charging me for a rental as an Uber driver since 9/4/24 to present these charges are total almost 3k. I have spoken to the manager at the Shelton branch who stated that she has received numerous complaints about this and that she would reach out to finance. When I followed up she told me hertz fired the previous head of finance and that there was an investigation of $300k that was being taken from customers accounts. There was no resolution for the charges now as recently as 10/22/24 more duplicate charges and unknown charges were with drawn by Hertz from my account. I have called the Shelton branch manager whose response was “ You and a bunch of other people” in regards to my complaint. It’s seems to me Hertz is well aware they are taking unauthorized money from peoples accounts and at this point it seem after 2 months of phone calls and emails trying to find a resolution the only course of action now is a lawsuit.

      Rented a van from Hertz in Toronto and paid premium, for our family of 5 (3 kids in car seats meaning we couldn’t use many other vehicles) and they didn’t have one on arrival. They tried to offer smaller options but they wouldn’t have fit our needs. After talking to several people and waiting over 30min they found one for us. Very disappointed what we paid for and reserved wasn’t there. We even checked in that day. When I asked how to prevent this in the future they said “you can’t, especially on a long weekend” you get what is there. We also asked about a second driver and they were going to charge $13/day so we didn’t. Later in the week we changed our mind so went to another Hertz in Oakville and they added me as a second driver free of charge stating Hertz doesn’t charge for adding second drivers. I will not rent from Hertz in Toronto at the airport again.

      I am a repeat customer of ********************** and reserved a rental on the telephone three weeks ago to leave for a trip Saturday evening. The rental was reserved for pick up on Saturday at 11:00 am. Friday, the evening before our trip hertz called at 5:30 pm. telling us our reservation was cancelled because they did not have a vehicle. Car rental businesses close at 6:00pm. where we live so we were put in a very stressful situation to find another rental. I found this type of service unprofessional and extremely disrespectful.

      My first time renting a car was from Hertz in Vestal, NY. Worst experience ever. While packing for my trip I noticed a small bug, then it ran i to the elbow consol hinge hole. Never in a million years would I think anything of it, especially during the day. Come to fi d out, There WERE ROACHES in the car which I didn't really discover until after I drove 11 hrs to NC. Upon entering our rented Beach house my mom noticed a bug in my bin that I brought inside the house. Oh, but not just any bug, same bug that I had seen prior but 3x the si?e. A Roach. Then I discovered a Tupperware without a lid under the driver seat that had been left in there with small stuck on food particles still in it. I can only assume that's what they were snacking on. Whe. I called I was told To go to Walmart 30 miles away to but a bug fogger. Later when returning the car after not being able to drive it on vacation because of the chemicals ***** at the desk said that he had done more than enough by refunding me the $10 I spent on the fogger. Never again will I rent a car from you people. And I will tell everyone I know the same.

      Business Assistant Manager handled me in a unprofessional manner and refused to service me only because I should that I was dissatisfied with the way I was being treated. He took an attitude and pushed my identification to me and said he would not service me, and then told me to step aside after I told him I was contacting Corporate, he stated he didn't care who I contacted he was not serving me. Even after contacting customer service and was requested to assist he reused and when asked for his name and location and manger he refused to supply. I have been with Hertaz since 1987 and have never had or been treated with such disrespect and I will be filing and repost to the Attorney General in the state of Illinois.

      Because her is so bad I cant get to the page where I need to be to file the true complaint, but I will just put it for you guys for now because you are affiliated with hertz and theres no way to get a hold of anybody somebody who actually would care would get back to me, but Because its just hurts in general they charge me $60 for a toll that they have no proof of and I paid all my tolls. They also charged me $45 for 45 minutes extra when I said I was totally fine not getting the car right then I was just trying to be polite to the lady working because at five just a horrible company altogether, but it makes it so hard to say anything. I am guessing that this is a fake site too, so I dont even know why Im wasting my time here but definitely wont be using her again unless its a huge city because then they just seem to neglect everything which Im honestly makes the company better , s**** you guys you charged me 45 minutes for $45 and then you charged me $60 for apparently an $18 toll fee and Ive paid everything you didnt provide me with a ticket. You didnt provide me with the toll you just provided to me that I owed $18 and then you said that you were gonna charge me 40 just for having it so You guys are crazy and Im just a tiny poor person. It would change my life and you guys are a huge company and you know that youre doing people wrong and thats why theres no way to get a hold of a human being here and there behind this because somebodys just making money off of the board people , not giving me a reason why or why I hate you guys I tried to be polite by coming in before you closed and then I got charged for every minute. I was there a dollar a minute so you guys ****.

      The small print states there is a $100 charge for canceling after so many days, and yet cancelling six weeks before my scheduled rental is not good enough for a full refund? I will never rent with Hertz again and I will insist that my friends, family, neighbors, work peers, community, etc., steer clear of Hertz! It is wrong to charge for such things and it will be the most expensive $100 they ever made! Hertz...never again! Gold Schmold!

      Horrible experience with Hertz in Buckhead, GA! They up charged me because they didn’t have any other vehicles and before I got home the tire light came on! 18 psi!!!!!

      This particular Hertz location was solely for Uber drivers,Uber requires their cars to be Uber ready for drivers to take Uber rides, I was given a car that was dirty they never cleaned it even though they state that they charge drivers $400 or so for a dirty car when returned,but Hertz doesn’t clean the cars instead they rent it out dirty and the driver has to clean it, so Hertz charges for a dirty car return but they make the next driver clean it, I personally got a car from them that the ac didn’t work in it and Uber requires ac in the vehicles. When I told them about it they told me to bring it back and they would give me another car, but when I went back there they were closed when they should of been open, I made several attempts to return the car each time they were closed during business hours, I couldn’t use the car to give rides for Uber, but they still charged me for the car, I don’t know how they expected me to pay them when the car was useless to me, they didn’t have a lock box there either so I could of left the car there and put keys in box,
      I truely believe that Hertz is scamming people here the way they do business is very suspicious and the service is terrible. They should be thoroughly investigated

      I will crawl before a rent a car from Hertz ever again!!!! Paid in full two months ago for my rental and when I arrived at the airport at 12:00a.m. I was told that there were no cars available. How does this happen? There were also 4 other customers at the same time with the same problem. I was handed a piece of paper and told to put down my phone number and name and that they would call me when a car became available the next day. They offered no apology and no help. When I explained that my hotel reservation for that night was over an hour away and I asked how did they recommend I get there, I was told to get an Uber there and back. I also asked if they could contact another rental car company for a car...was told no-one had any available. Thankfully, my husband walked down to the Enterprise counter and was able to rent a vehicle from them....the other customers in the office did the same. Enterprise worked with us and was so understanding!!! I waited on hold for over 35 minutes the next day with Hertz customer service in an attempt to get my refund for my prepaid car, to be told by the guy that he was going to wave the cancellation fee! No joke....Why would he even think I would be charged a cancellation fee for a car that was never given to me. Read the other reviews listed here....unfortunately this is happening often with Hertz. Still waiting on my refund!
