This is not the fault of the person working at the location, but Hertz allowed us to rent a cargo van that did not exist at the location. They tried to switch us to a passenger van instead but we are moving CARGO not people!

We had to transfer vehicles with Hertz at **************. at the start if a week vacation. I left my wallet and cash in the rental car we returned.Three hours of fishing I realized my mistake...I called and the staff was ready on it. They had my wallet and cash waiting for me at the front desk. This is not only honest service, this is honest employees. Please make sure ***** and ****** get wild recognition for their good deeds. If they are this good with personal items, no doubt renting from them will be a great experience.Thank you all so much!

In June, I made a reservation through American Forces Travel (Priceline) I bought a bundle that included airfare, hotel, and a rental car to travel to *********, ******, on the ***************************** website, I made my reservation with Hertz I opened the website, Hertz has many prices I choose an economical car $59.99 per day, my big surprise was when Hertz sent me the receipt I noticed that were changing me the double and triple for two days for seven **** the total was $796.95 which is $113.85 per day and $159.39. When I saw these overcharged prices first, I called *************** Travel customer services and asked them to provide me with a copy of my Reservation with Hertz; they refused I continued calling them and even sending emails with the receipt of "****************" what does Hertz use as fictitious name, now what I know is that ***************************** (Priceline) they complicit with Hertz to steal and defraud customer who in good faith put their trust in these companies whose sole objective is to steal, defraud and scam against customer, the reality is that **********************, it is supposed to be to help veterans plan their vacations but with these thefts the interest is lost.

So Hertz falsely advertises that their location is at ** ***** ****** (train station) in New Haven. Why? Because they will get more rentals if people getting off the Metro North train think that they've rented a car from the train station when in fact the car is a half a mile a way at 1 George Street. It's a bait in switch. The entire reason I rented "from the train station" is for after hours drop off. I also paid extra for the rental because of the convenience of renting it from that location. So I walked to * ****** ******, and they didn't have after hours drop off. I had two choices, either drop the car off at a different Hertz location (resulting in a charge and the cost of an Uber to get to another train station) OR the lady suggested dropping the car there ** ****** **** wrapping the key in a tissue, then throwing it over their security fence and hope for the best. Are you joking me? So not only is the location not as advertised to begin with, I lost a day of my two day car rental because I had to get to the original location before they closed at 2:00 on Sunday. Additionally, they tried to sneak a $19 "intercity fee" onto my bill. Thankfully I caught it before they charged my card. This Hertz location is a bait and switch. NEVER rent from this location.

This is by far the worst place EVER! NEVER EVER rent a car here. We picked up a car on Friday and dropped it of on Saturday and they have charged me everyday for the last 6 days for a car they have!Tried to reach out to customer service and I keep getting the automated circle, can NOT get in touch with a human and can not fight to get my money back!

This company added additional coverage on my rental after I declined it at the desk. I never signed for it and specifically asked why they needed my card when I booked online and confirmed that I was not being charged for anything additional. When I realized that I was charged for additional coverage, I went to the desk and asked them to remove the charge and was told they would open an investigation and review the front counter footage. I said this was great as they would be able to see that I declined coverage immediately, as I explicitly said I had coverage through my credit card. *****, the Hertz agent, confirmed she would reach out within 1 to 3 business days. However, she never did and I emailed three times over a span of a month asking for an update.Hertz is scamming consumers with this additional coverage. When researching what my course of action could be, I came across hundreds of complaints on various forums. This company needs to be held accountable for their deception and illegal business practices.

My reservation was cancelled without my authorization, the supervisor refused to give me his name and hung up on me, and I was blatantly mocked for requesting an all-wheel drive vehicle. While calling into Hert's Aurora location regarding a reservation that my insurance company had put in for I requested an all-wheel drive vehicle. The gentlemen who worked there gawked at the request and said it's not going to snow for another three months (when as of today, 9/20 the forecast is reporting snow in higher elevations). I then asked who would be liable if an accident should occur and if I could get their name. I was then hung up on. I called back only to be put on a ten-minute call. I hung up and called back; the same gentleman I had spoken with earlier answered. He denied hanging up on me, when I asked to speak with the supervisor, he informed me that he was the supervisor, I was hung up on once again. I then called Hertz's customer service line and explained my situation to the sales rep who said that my reservation had been cancelled by the store without my authorization! I was then advised to file an online complaint. Hertz sent an email saying they received my complaint and nothing further. Poor customer service and the individual who claims to be the Supervisor at the Aurora, Colorado location should not be in his position; mocking a customer for a request, hanging up on them and cancelling their reservation without consent is not okay!

I made payments on my rental on time every week and was called by corporate and by the store where I had gotten the rental asking for payment. I called corporate and made a payment and then called the store where I had gotten the car and found out I owed more money. So I made the payment and I still owed more money even after that. They said I still owed for five weeks. So they repoed the car and I had some dangerous items in the car and told everyone at both stores that they were in there and even the ** knew about it and they re-rented the car still and wouldn't let me have them back along with my personal items. I went there and asked to fill out something for lost and found. I got told to do it through the app. They closed my account so I had to hand write an itemized list of what I had in the car along with the reference number, the car, the color, and plate. I thought okay cool I'll get my stuff back since the car was still on property. Nope they sent it out and it was pulled over by NY. So my items are now in their possession and my personal stuff was tossed out. I've never seen so many ignorant people in my life. Endangering the public and zero customer service.

If I could leave a negative number of stars, I would. We were told upon arriving at the *************** we'd have to wait 1.5 hours for our vehicle. This wasn't mentioned upon reserving the vehicle several days prior. And it was actually over 2 hours later before we finally got our car. The key fob did not work and caused constant problems. Also, one of the tires was losing air from the moment we got the vehicle. When I called to complain and get assistance, I was told that because I waived all extra coverage, I had to pay for the cost to change out the tire (almost $100). And then even the spare tire was losing air! The car also was completely filthy inside and out when we got it. So after spending a day burying my father, and thousands of dollars on an unplanned trip for his funeral, I also had to pay almost $500 to rent a CRAPPY, dirty, defective car for a grand total of 3 days, including extra to get the tire changed to boot. WORST. CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE. EVER. I only chose Hertz because Enterprise had no cars available. Enterprise FAR surpasses Hertz on car quality, rates, and service. Hertz *****. And if I could write the words ***** any bigger, I would.
