      doesnt even deserve one star so i choose not to leave one.noone there to help office full of customers phone ringing off the hook.not impressive at all.

      I reserved a car through Hertz, and upon arrival, I discovered that the rental was handled by a company called Fifth Rent-a-Car. I waited in the lobby for nearly ten minutes before an employee finally appeared at the front desk. He did not greet me or make it clear that he worked there, which added to my confusion.Throughout the interaction, his tone was rude and condescending as he asked questions about my reservation. After several questions, I became frustrated and asked him to speak more respectfully. This led to a back-and-forth exchange, ultimately ending with me canceling my reservation.I would never have chosen a low-budget rental company that I was unfamiliar with, let alone one where I would receive such disrespectful treatment. I feel it is my duty to share this experience so that others can be aware and avoid a similar situation. I urge Hertz to reconsider its partnerships with affiliates that fail to meet basic standards of customer service and professionalism.

      DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HERTZ!! *** ******** *** Lithia springs ga location. I wish I could give negative stars. We have been renting at this location every week for over a year. This new manager, John, has been a nightmare. This guy is falsifying documents and changing customer statements on incident reports to make customers admit to damages. Do not sign anything on his phone .. Anything signed needs to be on paper and in pen. After being harassed over and over into coming in to fill out paperwork, the manager forced us into signing an incident report on his phone for a cracked windshield that was already cracked before we got the vehicle. We put in the comments that the cracked was there before got the vehicle, and We even brought it to the attention of the team members before leaving with the vehicle, which were fired during our rental time. We ended up getting a call the next morning saying we owe 500 bucks and that we put in the comments that we took responsibility for the damages!! Luckily, corporate is smarter than that and removed the fine from our account, and took a record of Johns behavior. ALWAYS ASK FOR A UPPER LEVEL MANAGER! Be careful dealing with any Hertz location, but this one in particular now. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING AND TAKE RECORD OF EVERYTHING.

      I went to renew my contract for my Uber rental at the Hertz location at 1831 Getwell Rd in Memphis, TN. The representative insisted that I pay an additional insurance fee, even though insurance is already covered in the $289 weekly fee that I pay to Uber. It’s clearly stated in my reservation. Despite my refusal, the representative brought the manager, who also insisted on the insurance, saying I couldn’t rent the car without it. I asked for the District Manager’s contact, but only received a name and email.

      When I called the Uber support line for Hertz, their representative confirmed that this additional insurance was optional and not required. They seemed confused as to why this location was demanding the extra payment.

      People are out here trying to make a living and provide for their families, and encountering this kind of treatment is disheartening. This location is unprofessional, and only two of the employees I’ve dealt with there have shown professionalism. Something really needs to be done about this. This location is going to launch a class action lawsuit against the company.

      We had a very frustrating experience. We waited for over two hours to get our car, which was particularly challenging with two babies in tow. After the long wait, they provided us with a small car despite having reserved a full-size ****** make matters worse, the staff was unhelpful and rude, showing no concern for our situation. This lack of customer service and support was incredibly disappointing. I will not be doing business with you again and would not recommend Dollar to others.

      I was charged during hurricane Milton to store their car for them! There was no way to return the car because Hertz locations were closed for the hurricane. I tried for days to contact someone. No way to contact the store directly to find out if they were open and no one at hertz knew! The 800 number is outsourced overseas and a joke! I finally got ahold of someone they said return the car when we open you wont be charged so I did and they charged me!!! Bad business to make your customer find a person who can tell them what to do with your car when you close locations and dont let customers know or what to do! A simple message or email would do it! BERY POOR RAN BUSINESS!!!! I had no way to drop your car off but you wanted me to store and be responsible for your car during a hurricane and you charged me!!! Hertz should be paying me to store their car for three days not charging me!!! I will NEVER rent through Hertz again!!!!

      Hertz has been double charging and miss charging me for a rental as an Uber driver since 9/4/24 to present these charges are total almost 3k. I have spoken to the manager at the Shelton branch who stated that she has received numerous complaints about this and that she would reach out to finance. When I followed up she told me hertz fired the previous head of finance and that there was an investigation of $300k that was being taken from customers accounts. There was no resolution for the charges now as recently as 10/22/24 more duplicate charges and unknown charges were with drawn by Hertz from my account. I have called the Shelton branch manager whose response was “ You and a bunch of other people” in regards to my complaint. It’s seems to me Hertz is well aware they are taking unauthorized money from peoples accounts and at this point it seem after 2 months of phone calls and emails trying to find a resolution the only course of action now is a lawsuit.

      Rented a van from Hertz in Toronto and paid premium, for our family of 5 (3 kids in car seats meaning we couldn’t use many other vehicles) and they didn’t have one on arrival. They tried to offer smaller options but they wouldn’t have fit our needs. After talking to several people and waiting over 30min they found one for us. Very disappointed what we paid for and reserved wasn’t there. We even checked in that day. When I asked how to prevent this in the future they said “you can’t, especially on a long weekend” you get what is there. We also asked about a second driver and they were going to charge $13/day so we didn’t. Later in the week we changed our mind so went to another Hertz in Oakville and they added me as a second driver free of charge stating Hertz doesn’t charge for adding second drivers. I will not rent from Hertz in Toronto at the airport again.

      I am a repeat customer of ********************** and reserved a rental on the telephone three weeks ago to leave for a trip Saturday evening. The rental was reserved for pick up on Saturday at 11:00 am. Friday, the evening before our trip hertz called at 5:30 pm. telling us our reservation was cancelled because they did not have a vehicle. Car rental businesses close at 6:00pm. where we live so we were put in a very stressful situation to find another rental. I found this type of service unprofessional and extremely disrespectful.

      My first time renting a car was from Hertz in Vestal, NY. Worst experience ever. While packing for my trip I noticed a small bug, then it ran i to the elbow consol hinge hole. Never in a million years would I think anything of it, especially during the day. Come to fi d out, There WERE ROACHES in the car which I didn't really discover until after I drove 11 hrs to NC. Upon entering our rented Beach house my mom noticed a bug in my bin that I brought inside the house. Oh, but not just any bug, same bug that I had seen prior but 3x the si?e. A Roach. Then I discovered a Tupperware without a lid under the driver seat that had been left in there with small stuck on food particles still in it. I can only assume that's what they were snacking on. Whe. I called I was told To go to Walmart 30 miles away to but a bug fogger. Later when returning the car after not being able to drive it on vacation because of the chemicals ***** at the desk said that he had done more than enough by refunding me the $10 I spent on the fogger. Never again will I rent a car from you people. And I will tell everyone I know the same.
