      Worst rental I had ever had in Libertyville IL Hertz location. I was asked if I needed the Plate Pass I told the clerk "No, I have my own I PASS I will use." I was still charged tolls and fee for Plate Pass,. I submitted a request for reimbursement with activity and receipt from MY Ipass USAGE DURING THE CAR rental period and PLATE PASS HERTZ and they reimbursed the fee but not the tolls because they claim "The date, time and location does not match their Plate Pass vs my IPASS". This is ridiculous ,as I am the only one with the IPASS in my home in Illinois on those dates. I submitted another request for refund of the tolls and I do not have hope they will comply with the facts and truth. It is only $1.90 of tolls, but I want to alert people to this scam.

      Horrible experience. I had 3 vehicles in 4 days due to mechanical issues. My I was over charged for fuel and they couldn't give me the daily rate on my documentation for the refunded days. I rented a ford fusion for the Union City, GA location and the vehicle from first sight I could see it had body repairs. Within four(4) hours of having the vehicle, I get stranded at a gas station in Alabama. Two days late the engine light comes on out of no where while I'm driving. Exchanged the vehicle 40 minutes away from my location and I get charged for fuel because I didn't want to stop at a gas station again. The next vehicle turn signal didn't work so I had to return that vehicle. The compensated me for the fuel charge but not the taxes on the fuel charge and that's the extent of the compensation.

      Zero star review. Does not have the vehicle size as reserved. Trying g to take our kids home to ******** for Christmas ans now there is not enough room. **************** here is the worst and rude. Even after saying I'm not mad at him he refused to wait on us. The other agent there tried to give our vehicle to someone else all while he knew what was going on. After reading these reviews it's disgusting they even have jobs. Is the location corporate or franchise? Who's the owner if franchise. Zero care and terrible reviews. Another customer is standing here and they said his car is ready. His ride left and they tell him a 2 hour wait becasue the car needs and oil change. How can you employee these people? Sick and Thanks Hertz for ruining our Christmas. If losing our new cars in Hurricane *** wasn't bad enough now this with a s*** company.

      **************** at ********************************************* at ************************************************ is really bad, I had my rental for 24 days through my auto insurance. The auto insurance approved $30 per day, I got a car for $26.49 per day. they charged my credit card for taxes 11% per each day which is $2.90. I told them my insurance is covering $30 per day and the rate cost plus taxes is still under $30 so why I'm paying the taxes. No one knows anything in this location, they already charged my credit card without my permission, I asked for manager, no one in duty and I was routed to call the main billing office.I called my insurance, the adjuster said, I only pay if the rate plus taxes is higher than the $30 per day. Hertz got paid $33 per day for a rental that should cost only $29.

      The worst rental experience I have ever had. My wife was stranded in **** because the refused to rent after charging me because she didnt have a credit card on her. Are debt card on file was not good enough for the agent. I have called repeatedly over the last month for a refund and have not been given one.

      Do Not rent a Tesla from hertz. I rented a tesla for a week from Tampa Fl Airport and when I brought it back I was charged an extra day late fee. They say it's a week (7days) but it's really 5 days according to them. What a scam. Since when is a week 5 days long ??

      Terrible service. They don't have a car ready when you reserved it, takes an hour to get 4 people through the checkout line, and then you wait an hour for your car with - again 4 people. They let every person that comes up and says they're a gold member in front of you which added a good 30 minutes to the wait. Nobody even had to show proof of membership.2.5 hours to get a car I had a reservation for. Complained to corporate and they promptly sent me an email saying "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced when your vehicle was not ready upon arrival."Will never do business with this or any other Hertz owned businesses again.

      I returned a vehicle to the rental agency on November 10, 2022. After at least two weeks the rental office called me to find out when I was going to return it and did I need an Extension nof time for the rental. The caller promised to rectify the error and issue my deposit refund. I have not received any response or money.

      The are running a scam with a bait and switch out of the MIA airport location. I'm a gold plus member so I can pick any car in the designated numbered area assigned to me as displayed on the Gold board (which displayed "3") I booked a "managers special" as I didn't care what vehicle type I got as it was only to get to the hotel and back for my trip. I arrive and look at the board where my name is displayed lot indication "3" Zone 3 is nothing but vehicles stored bumper to bumper 8-10 cars deep and not in service. Next to that is Reserved zone with numbers in the 300's which would make sense that this lot would be the "3" instead. All SUV's and minivans (which aren't popular in Miami due to gas prices). Oh well, not a big deal. Load up the luggage, hop int he Expedtion, and wait in line to check out for 15-20 minutes. At check out the guy says that my vehicle isn't included in the class of vehicle I reserved (remember I didn'ty reserve any special size - just mamagers special). He also said, well yeah lot 3 is closed and I have the SUV and will need to pay double for the rental or I can go back, remove my luggage, put it in a different car, and wait in line to check out all over again. This isn't a mishap - this is purposeful and intentional scam by the operators of Hertz at the Miami airport to not only extort extra $ but also rent out vehicles that aren't in demand.
