      NEVER EVER USING HERTZ AGAIN!!!!! ??????On a family vacation in ******** and our rental has died TWICE. Weve been stranded two times waiting for AAA to jump us. Completely disrupting our vacation, missing reservations and having to cancel plans. we had to drive all the way back to the Hertz in the ******** airport to trade in our car (which died for a third time as soon as we parked it), and we were greeted by ********* who was not only unapologetic, but completely rude to us. We had to request to speak to a manager who didnt even offer to discount our $1000 bill. We were finally upgraded a better car and given a discount for only one day after we requested something be done. The manager was ready to send us on way with zero discount and no upgrade. Extremely disappointed in the customer service at ******** airport location.

      rented a car for a trip in ****** ****** i was charged 450-500$ for vehicle and insurance when i showed up to pick up car in ****** they wanted to charge me 500$ more for insurance , that would of put my rental for 5 days almost a 1000$ for a mid size car when i refused to pick up car and go with a different company the next day they told me i could not get a ride back to airport needless to say they gave me a ride back and i caught a cab and rented a car the next day for 385$ from budget i understand that they need to upsell insurance and protection for vehicles but i was renting a mid size car nothing fancy and ******* dollars was just ridicule's for a 5 day rental i have rented many cars and never had this problem the only thing that helped me is that i am 100% bilingual and could get on phone and find another car dont let them pressure you for xtra insurance because if you read their rental agreement policy insurance is included hope this help someone going into **************

      The last week of October 2022, I rented a car from Dollar (which had been acquired by Hertz) at the ********* airport. The check in process went fine, the desk agent was pleasant, and the car was as I reserved and was a nice car with a full tank of gas.On my last day (Oct 31st), I refueled the car a couple of minutes prior to returning it at the ********* station recommended by the desk agent. All seemed peachy - until, that is, a month later when they tried to charge me $55.74 for fuel & service!!Luckily, I saw this fraudulent looking charge (from ******** nonetheless) pending on my credit card that I had used to rent the car, and blocked the charge. Then 2 weeks later I received an invoice from Dollar for the $55.74.This fraudulent practice is so common that they even have an option for "questionable fuel charge" as an option on their customer support system (both Dollar and ********************** have the same support message). It is impossible to reach someone to help you with this matter. After waiting for over 30 minutes trying to get through, I eventually just sent in a complaint via both websites to their customer support. And there was no way to attach an image of my gas receipt.HORRIBLE and fraudulent business practice. The attendant that received the car from me looked at the fuel gauge to note that it was full as he noted my mileage.I will not rent a car from Dollar/Hertz again.

      If I could give zero stars I would! No one can help you, they never answer the phone and are completely ignorant. They send you on a wild goose chase to extend your rental, when you were involved in a car accident that wasnt your fault. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

      Hi, My name is ************************* I recently rented a vehicle on 12/22/2022 at 4:56 p.m. at your lake ******* HLE location I've attached my rental agreement to this email. Shortly after 10 pm (3 miles from my house) the check engine light came on and a message appeared saying power reduction. Being that it was so late and outside temperature was below 30 degrees. I slowed down to 30mph till I reached my house. I shut off vehicle opened the hood to find the oil fill cap not screwed on and motor oil all over the engine. I call the Hertz roadside assistance number talked to a man about the problem her advised that the vehicle be towed I said ok. He set up tow pick-up for 10am 12/23/2022 and gave me a Hertz. The next day the tow truck didn't arrive until 12:45pm on 12/23/2022. At around 11pm on 12/22/2022 after talking to roadside assistance I tried to call the reservation department to let them know and they said call back after tow truck has picked up the vehicle. I called and talked to 4 different people that told me the vehicle wouldn't be taken off contact until the vehicle was back in a Hertz parking lot. I've called a few other times to hear they don't know anything. I asked to cancel my car rental as I was not satisfied with how I was being treated. The lady at the place I rented the vehicle was very rude to us twice when I dropped off a vehicle on 12/22/2022 and rented another vehicle an hour and a half later on 12/22/2022 to rent another vehicle and ask to get in the previous car since we realized we left an item in it. She said nope we can't find the keys the car is not here. I walked her outside and put my hands on the vehicle I dropped off. And all she said was we don't have the keys there missing whatever you left is gone now. I hope this can be resolved and please request someone from headquarters call me back As Soon As Possible.

      Even with a reservations, I still had to wait for them to clean the car and go get gas!!! Well the car was still dirty on the inside. Literally dirty seats, dashboard... nothing was cleaned. Well the worse the part that I am extremely bothered by is when I'm putting the gas back in the car, I lift up the middle consult and there was a weed ***** in there. I literally was riding around all weekend with drugs in the car. The same car that I sat and waited a total of 42 minutes to be cleaned and gas up. I could have went to jail behinds hurts not checking there vehicles before they rent them out. I will NEVER go to Hertz again, especially the one in *******, **, that is where I had my bad experience at

      Useless. I got there and they told me there was a 5 hour wait to get the car. They told me regardless of what I rented I had no option of what can I would receive 5 hours later. They gave no ability for me to get a car at another location later and honor my original agreement. No location picks up the phone. No one in corporate customer service will do anything for you besides help you start another reservation. They will never confirm they really have cars for you. They will never help to adjust any prices. They do not care about you and your loyalty is pointless. Avoid. Spend the money somewhere else. Does not matter if it is more expensive. You will actually get service. Hertz will just lie to you.

      Hertz is running a gas scam. Returned with a full tank and had a credit card charge pop up for $80 a month later. I called and asked about it and they said they had to fill it with 8 gallons of gas. Total BS!!!! Save your receipts if youre dumb enough to use this company because they will s**** you.

      Got a rental through my insurance company with a deposit from me. Returned the car clean and full of fuel. Haven't received my deposit back yet. Always get the runaround from customer service. I've come to the conclusion this company **** people off at every turn. I would not recommend renting anything from them. Efer!!

      Never, never, never prepay for a car with these clowns. I had flights cancelled. Changed my reservation once they added 250$ then couldn't pick up car due to flights cancelled and was out 750.$ So much for being a gold member. What a joke.
