      They are the worst. I spent a needless hour trying to rent a car when i had a reservation and i was a gold member. The employees are entire a******* and think you owe them. Ive never seen anything like it. Im joining **** or someone else after having been gold with hertz for decades. Oh, and btw, guessing they dont care. F hertz.

      Forgot to leave key in car, but remembered before dismembarking airport shuttle and gave it to the driver per the infortaiment's reminder/instruction. Proceeded to be sent on wild goose chase by hertz system, being billed $2500 for lost key, then a $1725 miscellaneous charge and promised and "investigation" and two "escalatations" after persistent contact and calls to verify if the key was returned by the driver. Just wrote the company in response to thier mailed paper invoice for these charges and pending resolution.

      Am being charged for unauthorized services. Constance D told use if we did not bring the car back full it would be $10.00 a gallon we declined the fuel rate they offer $4.80 a gallon we took the car back 100% full and took pictures have proof of fuel purchase. We called and she lied and said we accepted the fuel charge. We declined all other services, insurance, ect. $72.00 charge going to what ? We filled the tank car was super clean opon return. And I don't know how to say this but the smell of the Manger in training is very horrible. Hygiene is a must in customer service.

      DO NOT RENT A CAR_ heres the letter I sent Hertz. No response NOTHING... Dont waste your time To whom it may concern, I am a long-term loyal Hertz customer. I have never had an issue before. On February 6th 2023 I rented a car from your establishment in Tampa, FL International Airport. I was to have the rental car until February 10th 2023. Upon arriving at the airport I went on hot-wire and made reservations. The gentlemen that rented me the car was very attentive, nice, and actually a great salesman. Convincing me to upgrade. I upgraded to a 2020 Mustang GT (beautiful car btw) My wife and myself were the only ones in the vehicle. Non-smokers. I am being charged $400.00 $400.00 is A LOT of money. When getting the rental car at the airport that day I even made a comment to my wife about the scent of the car. I am kicking myself in the behind for not reporting it. We (my wife and I) just needed to eat food. Both having underlying health issues, food and medication are very important. Plus we  were over the whole traveling process. I just left and off to enjoy our 4 day vacation. I am not sure who checked my vehicle and when they checked my vehicle but there is no way I am being charged this. This is unbelievable, unacceptable. I am extremely upset about this situation. This is a mistake and a very big one. I hope we can solve this matter.  At this time I am asking for the incident report and evidence that supports the cleaning  fee.

      I will not work with Hertz anymore. Please be sure to review the charges before you leave the rental counter. It is just terrible. Starting from the call center, no one attempted to help except trying their best to scam your money. The call from calling center confirmed the price, but the price got higher when I finally got the counter. I asked the counter lady to confirm that we did get the *** discount, but well, my fault that I did not pay full detail until we got home. I tried to fix, but the call center refused to help, refused to admit the price different. I finally returned the car early, and I called to make sure I was not panelized by returning early, I got the final price from the counter over the phone. Then the next day, I realized they charged 140 some dollars more than I was quoted over the phone. Now, I just called to ask why, and the counter fixed the charges. I never have this trouble from rental company. Stay away..... stay away.

      I am really unhappy that I have to go to this extent because I have rented with Hertz/Dollar Rental in the past, HOWEVER, today was unbelievable. There were 2 women at the counter and I would hope that I went to the one that was not having such a great day and this is not her usual demeanor. I know the procedure with prior purchases when using a debit card. The elderly woman with the longer red/brown hair was extremely rude and dismissive. I had just stood in line and listened to the gentleman in front of me go through the steps of having to utilize his debit card with the concierge with the shorter hair and he proceeded to get his rental - no problem. I proceeded to the counter and handed over my driver's license and military (Navy Federal) debit card only to be dismissed and not even afforded the information the man prior to me received. I told her that money was taken from my card already and before I could explain that I already knew the policy on debit cards she had handed me my items back, dismissed what I was saying and told me to call "them" to get my money back. I called the **** number to receive my refund, but I will continue to warn everyone about the poor service I received.

      Placed a rental on Monday, Jan 30. Got confirmation that the vehicle I wanted (Tesla model Y) was available. Received several emails throughout the week indicating that the car would be available for pickup Friday, Feb 3. Then 2.5 hours before my pick-up time, I was contacted by Hertz customer service (not the Stone Mountain location) and told that the car is not available & that if I wanted that car I would have to go to the airport location (45 minutes away from the Stone Mountain location). I asked why I am just now being notified of this and was told that I would need to call the Stone Mountain location directly. I called and told them what the call was about & was put on a 20 minute hold before being disconnected. I have called back several more times at this point and my calls are being ignored. Horrible customer service.

      A big shout out to Bourlaye at the Denver Colorado airport Hertz rental center. Bourlaye, you provided gold star service to a longstanding member. The situation was that we confirmed and reconfirmed an AWD SUV vehicle for a weeklong vacation. When we arrived, we were told that there were no AWD vehicles available. Bourlaye made sure I had his cellphone number handy so I could text him if we needed anything. Not even 5 minutes passed when I reached out that he rectified the situation. Seriously, we need more people like Bourlaye with a customer service mindset. Thank you for getting our vacation off to a great start.

      I wouldnt give Hertz any stars. I just got charged a 10 dollar convenience fee for an $8.00 toll. Use National. Better service and they don’t rip you off. I was a Hertz gold member for years and rented over 3000 cars as a VP of sales traveling globally. Glad they got their $10 convenience fee given I will never rent from them again.

      Absolutely the worst place to rent a car.
      Go anywhere else!
      My car was a dirty pos that vibrated so bad once I hit 55mph
      That my water was spilling out of the bottle in the cup holder.
      When I complained (6 phone calls) instead of refunding my money they sent a 75.00 which I never received. 5 more phone calls routed to all the wrong departments. They said I’ll receive it tomorrow which I never did receive. ……This Company is terrible times ten….. do not give them your money
