      I rented a vehicle and was not able to change the dropoff location during the reservation process. Instead I got a message saying it could be returned at any of over **** locations. That sounded great so I rented it and then near the end of the rental decided to extend my vacation for a week. When I called I let the agent know I would be returning to ************* on the 18th. To my dismay I was told that wasnt an option and that I need to return to ************. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she obliged. The supervisor told me no I couldnt return other than ************ as it was a QX80. There is no way I could have known Hertz has an internal policy for the QX80 and I tried to convey this. The supervisor lied to me and said why didnt you click the popup telling it cant be returned to a different location. This was a lie as I immediately went into the app and rented the same vehicle never getting a popup saying this. I requested he go on his cell phone app and try himself and he stated he didnt have one and that this is a computer. Next I asked him to call or email the branch because he had stated only the branch could agree to take the vehicle to which he replied he couldnt physically call the branch nor email them as he had no way to. Then I asked to speak with his supervisor and he agreed they would call me in an hour. After 2 hours I called back and ************** tried to get a supervisor to continue the conversation. She finally came back on and said she couldnt get them on the phone but they had told her Hertz could offer to bring the vehicle from *** to JAX for $10,009 to which I thanked her for being a nice person and gave up. I was in **************** so took an entire Friday and Saturday to deliver the vehicle back to *** to rent one from National and drive back Saturday. Its about 7 hours each way so I effectively lost 2 days of my vacation. Im not sure what would have taken place if I hadnt extended and showed up at ***.

      Made reservation Wednesday to pick up Friday. Showed up to the location ready to grab my rental, and was told there are no available vehicles for me to use. No effort made to find a solution to my problem. Was told to call other locations and look for "other options" the same day im supposed to leave for my trip. Was not called the morning of my appt to be informed of this situation, wasted gas getting there and wasted money on an Uber home. I would highly recommend NOT booking through their website. Hertz shouldn't accept reservations without inventory available. They even made me cancel my own reservation - saying they were unable to do so at the same counter they told me they had no vehicles from. If this is the type of business practice we get from Hertz here in Southaven we should be calling to have this specific location shutdown. DO NOT BOOK A CAR HERE.

      Do not rent a car with Hertz!!!! I made a rental online. The location I choose was no longer available. I have tried for 5 weeks to cancel the reservation and get a refund with no avail. I have sent emails and called 10 time. Each time I am told they have canceled the reservation and a refund is coming. Never happens. I have never had such a bad experience with a company before. I called a store and they were so helpful. They also repeatedly called customer service to get the reservation canceled and were told it was done. It was not. Not sure how they can't seem to cancel a reservation and refund my money. Seems like that is what customer service is supposed to do.

      PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ -- They are the WORST company to deal with. While on vacation in November a metal object Hit Our Car. We did not hit the object. Trying to do what's right, I contacted Hertz, my insurance company, and AmEx to let all parties know what happened. AmEx paid 1/2 the claim and WE PAID THE REST DIRECTLY. Zero Balance due. Hertz sent a demand letter to My Insurance Company for money. The claim had been paid in full My insurance company also paid. Now, there was an ovepayment WHICH HERTZ WAS HAPPY TO KEEP!!! This also caused my insurance premium to TRIPLE!!! We are working with my insurance company to rectify the situation. I demanded Hertz repay my insurance company but the damage is done!! Horrible company to deal with - LOUSY customer service - LOTS of misinformation and TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION with their customers. Sure their rates are rock bottom but trust me you will end up paying much more if Anything happens. If they had just been in contact with me after I asked them to remove my insurance company from the claim process NONE of this would have happened. PLEASE look at the BBB ratings for this company and read the other reviews. It will save you a lot of heartache. If I could have given them a -5 I would have.

      Hertz charged my mother for a flat tire. The manager in syracuse new york at the burnet ave location name jorge. He also got upset with my father who wasnt the rental agreement. My father came to Jorge to let him know that rental fave so many problems to my mom and he didnt like what my father was saying so he put my mom on the DO NOT Rent List being petty and not professional at all. My mom didnt say anything rude. my father; her husband felt like jorge was being rude to his wife so he cane in to defend her against another man and jorge put my mom on the do not rent list and started adding all these crazy charges to her credit card. Do NOt Rent from this place. The rental my mom had was not cleaned out but it wasnt any other rental on the lot and mom really needed a car. The rental had water stains all over the seats. It was horrible experience for my mother.

      We were refunded money for a vehicle with a faulty battery. It died on us three times. Great. Once we returned home from our vacation we received a letter that basically said, Pay us back for the refund. What?! 3 different parties could not resolve the issue (Hertz, Dollar, Expedia). Now the bill has gone to collections. I highly discourage everyone from renting with Hertz or their affiliates.

      I entered a promo code (******) to get 1 free day on my 3 day rental and before checkout it said it was applied and valid and noted my free day.After checkout, it did not show as applied.I called to complain and try and get reimbursed for that 1 day but they just flat out said I never applied the promo code.Crazy. Never renting from them again and I will make sure no one I know does either.Oh and on top of that, I used my friend's *** card since he was coming on the trip with me.On the pickup counter they said the driver needs to be the same as the *** card holder so we had to switch drivers and add me as a second driver if I wanted to drive. I said fine. They charged me for it even though their own website says "Additional Driver fee waived" for *** members. Additionally, I paid for insurance and liability for the trip and it shows on my receipt as well.The lady on the counter insisted I did not pay and made me double pay for it. An additional $360.48 for absolutely no reason.Absolute SCAM of a company. Scumbags.The car was nice though.Brand new **** transit.Only reason it's getting 2 starts instead of 1.

      We rented a 5 passenger car from Hertz in ************, ********** for $366 USD. Upon our arrival, the Hertz employee informed us they had no rental cars available & when I called to ask how we get the car we reserved several weeks in advance, the same employee answered the phone was extremely rude & hung up on me. We did not receive a rental car from Hertz and ended up having to go to the Payless counter in the airport and had to pay $1200 USD for a car in terrible condition. We will never rent from Hertz again and advise other customers to stay away from Hertz as well. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Avoid renting through Hertz & go through a company who will deliver the product they promised & who provides customer service.

      LIARS, LIARS, LIARS, PANTS ON FIRE!!!!Why even make a reservation when you go to pick up a car and they dont have a car. One half a day spent making reservations on line because no one answers a phone. Two hours driving to pick up the invisible car. Two hours going to another company looking for a car. Now go back tomorrow. Rinse and repeat. If you all cant run a business dont bother being a business. I assure you I can handle it if you are looking for a replacement CEO,CFO, or an EIEIO! I am not too busy to tell people not to use HERTZ, staring now. So all you acronyms that run HERTZ until something better comes along make sure that a limo meets you at the airport and you dont have to rent a vehicle for that job interview.

      Accepts the debit till u get there Even if I'm paying the insurance out of pocket for 3 days they r garbage worst ever..they need to b shut down ..stop using thm people
