      I received several bad surprises after renting a car from Hertz. I was told that hidden somewhere in the many pages of fine print in the rental agreement, that that there would be a "Convenience Fee" every time you travel through a toll booth. So on a 2 month rental I ended up paying around $200 of "Convenience Fees". These fees are not convenient in any way for me. I paid Hertz for the toll and they can add $5.00 every time! I don't think this is right or fair in any way. On some of these I actually stopped and paid cash and for the last month I was using a Sunpass and should not have been charged by Hertz at all.

      Terrible customer service. I reserved a car well in advance and locked in the rate. The reservation was not only not honored, they made me stand round for 3 hours in the airport while they worked on it. My wife was also on the phone with Hertz hotline trying to resolve the issue. We wasted a total of 6 manhours dealing with this just to rent a car. They eventually rented me a car but for only half my trip and at a higher rate than I had locked in! I had to make an extra trip to the airport and taxi back to my destination and then taxi around town and taxi ******************* at the end of the trip. Hertz did not agree to help with any of this. I expected a token of apology for 6 hours wasted talking to customer service, some reimbursement for all the unexpected taxi rides, and a refund of the difference in rate that I paid. Hertz did not agree to any of that, not even a small concession. Very disappointing, I will not be using them again.

      This is a 0 Star Review....but not able to submit without a star.HERTZ WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!We rented two cars same day picking up at airport and returning both at airport same day and time. One car was billed for three days the other for four. We called several times and emailed being told each time an escalation was submitted to have the bill corrected, When I called for an update I was told we were SENT TO COLLECTIONS!!! We have talked to over 20 people with no resolution. I've never experienced such a difficult time getting a resolution with a company when THEY make the error. Companies this large really need to be better monitored by the government so that they aren't allow to take advantage of people.

      If i could leave zero stars i would, went to pick up a rental and was told no cars were available, when i asked why i wasnt informed there were no cars he told me not his problem, he went on to say that i should of called before coming to make sure they had a vehicle. I told him that didnt make sense and that he should of called me before i got a ride to his store. I got irritated and told him that it was bull and then he starting laughing as i left, we had some words and i left. I will never rent a car from the montgomery hwy location again, the worst service i have ever had and then when leaving he called me a pretty foul name and tried to escalate the situation

      I had to file a claim with Hertz because my parked car was hit on the street by an Uber driver driving a Hertz rental. That happened on a Saturday and I filed the claim on Monday, when the claims department told me it would be 3-5 business days until an adjustor was assigned my case. I called every other day and was told the same story. On business day 5 I was on the phone and they told me there was no one assigned and that it would probably be another 5 business days. We are now on day 21 and I was told there still has not been anyone assigned to my case. Hertz has done nothing and couldn't even provide me a rental car because my car was undriveable from the damages. I had to pay out of pocket for a rental car and my deductible. I get the same response every time I call that they have a high claims volume and that they are waiting on an adjustor. What is there one person who works for the whole company?! It is so frustrating and this company is literally useless. They keep saying they are sending internal emails because there is no way else to contact for an adjustor. I don't even know if they are sending the emails! I called to get an email to send the invoice of my rental car to get reimbursed and I was told there was no email to send to it either had to be by mail or fax. We are in 2023 how do you not have a claims email to send documents to?! This company is so frustrating and have done nothing to help me. There is no urgency in anything they do! It has been a month since my car was damaged and still no one has been assigned to the case. My car has gone through my insurance and been fixed all in the time they are just twiddling their thumbs over there. How many other people are in this situation where they are just waiting for someone to be assigned. Literally a huge scam. Let's see how long it takes for them to reimburse my deductible and rental car. They better send these employees to a better training or hire more adjustors.

      If I could leave a no star I would. After waiting for a very long time in line we were able to secure a car that we had made a previous reservation for. When we schlepped our bags out to the parking area and found our designated number ,(912),the spot was empty. We were told just to go find another car....really? Then we found we had to shorten our vacation stay by 5 days. After being on hold for a very long time I was told we will receive no refund for the 5 days we won't be using the car. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she refused. Do NOT take your chances with this rental company... Just saying

      This is the worst Custumer service experience I have ever concountered. I was litterally discriminated against and told if I don't like the cars that strongly smelled cigarettes, then I'll have to wait for an hour and get whatever I could get even though I had been told that there were other cars in the back. Sleezy and racist! IIf I could give negative stars I would, they don't even deserve 1 star.

      Worst car rental experience ever! Overcharged on pickup even though I had a confirmation that said that the price included ALL taxes and fees. NO tire **** provided and we had a flat in ************ with no cell service. Hours on the phone with customer service and no help whatsoever. Replaced the tire on our own after a couple Good Samaritans finally came along to help. Drove the 'Get me home ' tire over 100 miles to get service. First and definitely LAST rental from jerk me around Hertz! ??

      **** ********** ave!!!Insurance rental spent 3 hours waiting on card machine too work was told my card was no good no car.Business closed had too wait outside gate in cold not even a ride back.Check bank statement test deposit by Hertz was good????Told come back Monday??No!!!They need upgrade on Machines and Employees who Respect your Business!!!Rotten service!!!

      I've previously had fine experiences with Hertz, but after coming out of Chapter 11, it seems they've begun engaging in some shady practices to try and squeeze/con people out of as much money as possible. My terrible experience started when I went to pick up my car and was given a *****. I get that *** be exciting to some people, but it took quite a lot of time to learn the new system, and the car was only charged to 33%, so I was delayed by over two hours in getting on the road. Hertz did ultimately give me an $18 credit for the electricity I had to put into the car in order to be able to leave, but that was from a $112 bill, for which their accounting only shows that $64 were for Tesla electrical charges. I have asked 3 times now for them to itemize what the difference is, and they have ignored each request. I was just sent another bill for $113 from their PlatePass partner for tolls incurred. PlatePass provides a receipt that shows each toll and time, but not the amount for each toll charge. Instead, they charge $27.99 per day for an "all-inclusive fee". There was one day I didn't pass through any tolls, yet was still charged. And without the amount per toll, I have no idea how much they've just profited from this daily charge. My estimate for those tolls is closer to $30. Hertz, y'all were cool, but now you're not. I'm sorry the pandemic screwed up your business, but because of your new shady practices and attempt to milk extra dollars from each rental. I won't be renting cars from you again.
