      This company (Hertz) will rip you off! User beware!! Use Hertz and you will HURTz!! Robbed me of almost $200 through shady business practices. I found a good price for a rental car booked through ****** for $165.64 at Hertz. When I got my bank statement after my trip Hertz charged me $355 to my account. When I called the company they denied owing me the difference citing that I "signed" their contract agreeing to: roadside assistance, extra insurance, etc. etc. This was a lie as I told the employee at the counter that I didn't want all those extra upgrades. She sneakily put it into the contract anyway and then had me sign it in order to release the car to me. I was cheated this way. After telling her I didn't want all those extra upgrades she put it into the contract anyway knowing that I wouldn't spend 3 hours at the counter reading all the fine print. Everything was already pre booked and the price was settled - or so I thought. How can Hertz get away with this deceptive business practice? When I told them on the phone that I declined all of those upgrades at the counter they turn around and say, "but you signed in agreement." This is not an honest business practice and, therefore, Hertz is not an honest business. Go somewhere else to rent your car.

      The staff were Intentionally slow and do not care about their job. The car Im having to drive while my car is getting repaired from an accident is the worst! It stinks so bad with the smell of smoke. I cant wait to get rid of it ! Also, this morning driving to work in the rain, I discovered quickly how bad the tires were, bald dangerous tires . I tried to call and change out the car but no one answers the Phone ! From now on, I will use Enterprise or anyone else has to be better !

      Worst experience ever! Reserved the car online everything was okay until landed in the *******, ** pick up the car at the airport they didn't give me the car because I paid with an Apple credit card and the card itself doesn't have digits on it. I had to cancel the car this trip was for my twin's birthday and we don't have a car! Horrible service from hertz

      Their rental return process is different than any rental car Ive used before. I was at the airport and tried to call to make sure my car was returned and I was completely unable to get ahold of anyone to check. Through their digital service, the ************** stations phone was connected to I had to tram back to the rental company to double check. Completely unable to help with costumers

      I reserved a rental car from Hertz over a month in advance of my trip. Upon arrival, the Hertz employee said they have not had a car available in over a week and wouldnt have one for several more weeks. I showed him my reservation. He said that doesnt mean much and it is not a guarantee to get a car! This de-railed our vacation and cost us a great deal of added expense! I called Hertz customer service. The man said sorry but there is nothing he can do! After many requests, he transferred me to the manager who said the same thing. He gave me the customer service email and said try them! I emailed Hertz as he suggested. They responded with an apology and added sometimes this happens. No response or acknowledgment to my request for some sort of compensation. Ive been a Hertz Gold member for many years. What happened to them?

      Hertz is the worst! I attempted to rent a car for 2 days in ********, *****. Hertz website and their agents reported no cars were available. I then changed my rental request to a week. Then MANY cars were available. I spoke with a Hertz representative and asked why cars were available for a week but not two days. He could not provide an explanation. He told me to rent the car for a week, return in 2 days and I would only pay for 2 days. I booked for a week. When I picked up the car, I notified that I would be returning in 2 days and was told I would only be charged two days. When I returned the car on day 2 I notified the attendant that it was an early return and he said I would only be charged for 2 days. Hertz billed me $755.89! I paid $250 which I thought was fair and disputed the remainder. I contacted customer service several times, but they just said I owed the entire amount. The contract says a charge of $25 would apply to early returns where 24 hour notice was not given. Hertz sent my account to collections! I tried several more times to work through the situation with customer services and got no where. I settled the bill to protect my credit rating. This is very unethical of Hertz.

      I have rented from them recently and my account was charged 405.00 because the collision company didn't return. My vehicle when I did. Don't ever use them to rent. They are a horrible company.

      Will never rent from Hertz again. Had a reservation in hand when I landed late at night only to learn that Hertz had no cars left. They offered no options for travel and simply shut the door. Stranded in the city and nearly 150+ miles to drive to report to work for my business and Hertz just left me stranded and forced my hand to ***** ********* ***** to find and secure a ride from an alternative source. When I contacted customer service next day, their only response was, "sorry, nothing we can do, but if you can get ride 150+ miles back we have a car now." They didn't even offer to cover the additional cost or offer a free rental. Absolutely no resolve or attempt was made to resolve my dilemma other than a form letter that ended with, "looking forward to doing business with you in the future." Heatless and pitiful and Hertz will never get any of my business again.

      I rented a car in February and they charged me twice. I called customer service on 2/19/23 and was told i would receive a refund in 7 - 10 business days. As of 3/8/23 I have still not seen the refund. I have called customer service twice since my initial call and they keep telling me that it has been processed. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

      I rented my car and booked it online. Expecting to come to the airport and pick it up. I waited in line for 45 minutes because they only had two people. I have a counter I was told it was up to a one hour wait for the vehicle since when do you rent a car and wait for a car to be available? I will never use Hertz again.
