They did nothing to accommodate Had a similar situation with ****** They were kind enough to apologize amd offer $ compensation off their bill Don't use Hertz They refer you to inept corporate depth and they don't care for their customer.

AVOID HERTZ AT ALL COSTS! I rented a car for 5 days in sarasota FL. Although I had a detailed conversation about DECLINING the optional loss damage waiver with the rental agent (who was blinding me with smiles as he knowingly ripped me off) I was charged 34.00 per day for the insurance for a total of about $175.00. They have you sign on an electronic pin pad so you dont see the total, but I unfortunately relied on the agent when he told me he was declining the LDW and putting in the name of my own insurance company. When i looked at the receipt in the lot where i was to pick up my car, i noticed the overcharge and spoke to the agent in the both about it. She said that they could not adjust it but to just contact customer service when i reached my hotel. Well, that was easier said than done. I spent no less than two hours on the phone trying to get a live person to answer the phone. They had a maddening menu where none of the options are relevant and when you finally get a number to ring, it just rigs dozens of times with no answer. I tried emailing, but the only email address I had was one that would not accept incoming messages, same with a text message. I tried several times over the five days I was in florida and also complained to the agent when i returned my car. Again, they told me to contact customer service but they could not give me a number for that. When i finally was bale to email through their review portal, they stated that since the rental was concluded they would not do anything. I think this is a planned scam to enrich them and pad the commissions of the dishonest counter agents. They know that you are frazzled and tired and dragging all your luggage in hurry to get where you are going. they also know that there are no numbers on the signature pad for you to see the exact amount you are being charged. Will never rent from Hertz again. If I could choose zero stars I would ...

Hertz Case No. ******** I rented and pre-paid for a two-day Hertz car rental through Priceline.com on April 3, 2023 with a confirmation pick-up date and time of April 8, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in your Venice, Florida location. I called the Venice office on that same day and confirmed the reservation. No one told me the office closed at noon. Why would they schedule a pick-up time for when they would be closed?! I arrived to pick up the rental at about 11:55 a.m. and found the place closed and an hours sign on the door showing they closed at noon. Two or three other families showed up with a pickup time of 12:00 p.m. and were also shocked. Customer service said the only rental place she could find open was at the airports. I booked and pre-paid for twice the amount for a rental at the Sarasota airport 45 minutes away, hired someone to take me there and decided to sort it out later when I drop the car off. At that time the manager told me he was only authorized to refund my original rental cost of $92.07. My rental from the airport cost me twice as much. Corporate customer relations manager on the phone said the most he could do for me would be to refund my original rental charge of $92.07 and issue me a $100 future rental voucher. That is also not acceptable. I was still out time and money. What would be right is a reversal of the higher cost of the 2nd rental and maybe a future rental voucher for $100 for all my troubles. This horrible Hertz car rental snafu created undo anxiety, the cost of both rentals, the cost to hire someone to take me to the airport, a loss of an additional 2 hours. I called and wrote a letter to Hertz. I have yet to hear back or get this resolved.

Had reserved a Tesla for my bachelor party and gotten confirmation e-mail the night before pick up saying my car was charging and will be ready in the morning, only to show up and be told they didn’t have anymore Tesla’s but they could put me in a Toyota Camry for an up charge. The worker then told me they tell people that cars are in stock so people come in then up charge them to make more money. Ruined my bachelor party trip.!

Zero stars. At Dallas DFW. Reserved weeks ago, the line was 30 min, then after checking in the wait was 1.5hrs to be called, apparently they had no clean cars, there were about 40 drivers standing around to get cars everyone had reservations. Then inside the garage was another huge line for another 40 or so minutes. This is when I gave up. Canceled my car and arranged for a ride. Should have done it in the first place. Worst every experience. Will never rent from Hertz again.

The car was good the service at check-in was good. My issue is when I saw the final charge, I was charged for emergency road service which I did not agree to and the fact that the gas tank was full and Hertz charged me additional fuel charge saying fuel gauge was 7/8 when the gauge level was on the full mark. I drove 9 miles to airport drop off.

Worst experience ever. Had a 7 passenger vehicle reserved for noon at the Shreveport Airport. Waited until 1:30 and was offered a 5 passenger car. I had 6 travelers and our luggage. Tried to talk with a manager, he refused to speak to me. The counter girl was rude and short tempered. We went to ******** *** ******, within 30 minutes and $50.00 cheaper we had a beautiful mini van. Stay away from Hertz. I contacted Hertz customer service who pretended to try and help, but never answered my emails.

I made reservation. I received a confirmation email. I paid for a Uber to take me to pick up the car. When I arrived, they said they had no cars. They indicated I should not make my reservation online. Prior to making the reservation, I called the local office, the voice prompts indicated that service is much faster if you make your reservation online. Gentleman at the counter says that the Hertz website always books cars that are not available. I will never use Hertz again. They have left me high and dry, and super inconvenienced.
