      On July 10th, 2023, I rented a car from Montrose CO Airport location. I had reserved a medium-sized sedan, but when I arrived, the agent told me that the only car available was a pickup truck. I asked if there was anything closer to what I had ordered, but she said that was the only option. After while she found Mitsubishi Mirage which is economy car (lover class then I ordered) and said I have to wait until it will be washed. I asked cancel my reservation but she said she can't refund me money which I payed during reservation. However, when I got in the car, I was shocked to see how dirty it was. The inside was dusty, and the side mirrors were so dirty that I couldn't see anything in them. I asked the agent if she could clean the car, but she just ignored me. I was very frustrated with the way this situation was handled. I had reserved a specific type of car, and I was given a dirty smallest car in the world instead. I also had to wait 30 minutes for the car to be cleaned, which was inconvenient and unnecessary since it was dirty anyway.

      Hertz is a horrible rental company and they steal money if you are not careful. Booked through Expedia and my balance at rental was 487.66. After renting the car and having to pay an exorbitant amount for a deposit 500.00 we ended up being charged 599.96. To try and talk to the customer service is crazy. They are rude and there are agents I. The background laughing and screwing around. Which is quite amazing since I sat on hold for 10 min. Will Never rent from them again.

      Terrible! I rented a cargo vam months ago. I called and asked if I could pick up the van a day early. I was road that there weren't any vans for that day or my rental day. I was moving so I needed a large vehicle. They didn't have a van, box truck, large SUV, Mini van, or truck. When we're they going to tell me???? We planned a move **** miles away and planned this in advance. No calls, nothing. I called customer service and only an apology. They called every Hertz in the state and nothing. How can this be? To boot, I went on their website and it said they had larger vehicles available. I had to make alternate plans which cost me a lot of money and anxiety. I am an enterprise gold member but Hertz had the best deal. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for!

      If I could give this negative stars I would Had a call weeks after returning the vehicle asking for money to pay for the ************** didn't approve Then got a bill in the mail that should have been covered by insurance Then they charged me 125 and now are basically giving me a different answer everytime I call about when I'll get my money and it's been a month and still is not resolved

      I give them no stars because they illegally broke their contract with us by not giving us the car we reserved 2 months before our actual p/u date. When we went to pick it up, they said they had no cars available and to go somewhere else. Well, that day, there were no cars anywhere to rent because the airport was canceling flights due to weather on the east coast and they gave our car to someone else who paid a higher price. We then called **************** who said they could do nothing for us and they hung up. We then went online on Hertz and found a smaller vehicle to rent right away (which was odd since they said they didn't have any) but, of course, double the price then what we originally reserved for and much smaller. We had to take it because we were stranded and had to get home. When we went back up to the counter, the lady then had the nerve to try and make us upgrade because (obviously) the vehicle was gonna be too small for our family and luggage but this time for 3 times more than our original price and she would not price match our original quote. We said no we couldn't afford it so she finally gave us the smaller vehicle and directed us to choose ANY vehicle in the lot from the Gold section. When we got out there, we found PLENTY of vehicles and choose one larger than what we reserved online (mid-size SUV) . I AM AMAZED AT HOW HERTZ CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS SCAM. We may be taking a legal action against them because they need to be stopped! They ruined our hard-earned (worked lots of overtime to pay for trip) long-awaited (with COVID and year and a half battle with cancer) vacation. We also lost money on other reservations we had that day because of all the time it took to get another vehicle.

      Very terrible customer service !!!! We waited in line for almost 2 hours and the manager on duty was not friendly at all . He was rude and would not be understanding . Do not go to Hertz *********** Airport.

      Quite poor customer service at SJC location. Woman at counter lied to me about a business partnership with my employer to add an extra $100 of charges to the rental. Their customer service agreed to refund the money (case ********) and never did after nearly a month. That’s the last $100 Hertz will ever get from me. If anyone from corporate is watching these your SJC employees are burning business relationships to make a little extra commission. Not wise.

      Im not sure how they are in business. I literally have a lot of complaints about how this company operates and this is a horrible experience for my first time using hertz.My main issue is i rented a car with a weekly rate of $289. I went to return the car and after i returned the car they charged me an additional $289 for a week in advance which i didnt use the car. They charged me for a weekly rate after the car had been returned and when i spoke with their customer service, which was super unprofessional and rude, they admitted they charged me a week in advance and basically said there was nothing they would do about it.

      This place was so unprofessional and very rude! I felt like i meant nothing as a customer. I made a reservation on Expedia for 1:30 PM Thursday , July 6 2023 I get to my reservation early I go in there and there's a long line so I wait about 30 minutes to finally get helped. When she asked me for my ID and card I gave them and she said we cannot help you with a debit card I said why not she said because you need a credit card to hold. I said well I booked on Expedia and they said nothing about using a credit card. I put my debit card on file on Expedia. She continued to be rude All she kept saying was it's our policy. Sorry can't help you. While I have my sister on the phone listening to the entire conversation. The ladies name is Mallory, she told me well if you wanna go get a credit card at home I'm your husband, then you can come back. I said fine, but am I going to lose out on a car and she said well i can't you tell you that but if you can hurry and be here in a few minutes, to say well I live 30 minutes away, so I really hope that I don't lose out on this reservation. I walked out. Drove all the way across town to my husband's work to get his credit card. I get back there to only weigh about 35 minutes for Samantha Radiology, one of the black girls that was working there with long braids. Hey man acknowledge the guy that was behind me but never said anything to me about her phone and walked out. My sister noticed that they were all standing around in the garage talking and not doing their job. Meanwhile I am in the office waiting now 45 minutes for someone to come in and help me. My sister got out. The car went in the garage and said, can someone please go help my sister she's been waiting and they were so rude to her yelled at her and told her we will be there in a second. I waited 15 more minutes. Finally Mallory came back in. Gave her my credit card. She looked at me and said oh well you need your husband here. She lied to me so here i am now waiting on

      I rented a car via Priceline. The price was not bad, $118 for mini SUV for 2 days. I get to the airport in NC, they presented a sheet with three options for insurance coverage which l had declined online. The lady acted like l had no choice. They don't show you the pricing. I picked basic coverage and l was charged $228 for 2 days. Its daylight robbery. Never pick the option where they pay for gas. It's also over priced. They rush you and take advantage of the long lines trying to make you feel like they need to hurry up and serve everyone. It's the worst company to rent a car from. I don't recommend them.
