      I made a reservation and prepaid Apr 11 for a 7 passenger van for 2 weekdays in May - pick up and drop off at 8am at the east Boca Raton, FL location. I received a text message at 7:20am on the pick up day saying they were overbooked and my reservation was cancelled. I called the location when they opened. They confirmed they did not have a vehicle for me. There was no effort to offer any other vehicle and no additional explanation. I have since called headquarters to check on the status of my refund since I prepaid. I am still waiting. I will never use your service again.

      I don't even have enough characters to describe how abusive this company is to their customers. Back in mid-May, they rented me a faulty car that was uncleaned with trash and dirt all inside, unsafe (stranded us 3x ruining 2/3 days of our vacation- car refused to turn on with keyfob, even after replacing keyfob battery which only kept the car turning on/off for less than 24 hours), and with seatbelt issues, stereo issues, and electrical outlet issues- all while providing 0 help, concern, or assistance. Once we were finally able to get the car up and running again, both days we had to sit in 2 hours of rush hour standstill traffic and drive to the airport to receive assistance as they did not answer the phones. I tried the entire drive there, both times. They were rude at the counter and only provided us with a new rental the last day of our vacation, 12 hours before we had to drop it back off. They cost us over $1k in non-refundable missed vacation activities alone. Since then, they have deliberately dodged me on social media, ignoring my help requests, and after days of pleading, they. finally claimed to refund me and told me a timeframe of when I would see my refund. That passed, no refund. I contacted them and their response was "it appears the adjustment was removed by our management team". from there, they ignored me again until I threatened to call my bank, then suddenly they IMMEDIATELY replied to me claiming I'd have the refund within another 10 business days. It's been over ten business days, and I STILL do not have a refund. Do not believe a word they tell you, they put you in cars with electrical issues and do not care about you at all.

      Hertz Olathe, KS refused to honor a Hertz confirmed reservation. First they tried to give me a car for a different person; once I discovered their error, they refused to rent any car to me. Tyler, the attendant, would only repeat that I was not renting a car today; they refused to rent me one and offered no assistance. I asked to speak with the manager, CJ (whose mother evidently named her son CJ as he had no other name) but Tyler refused to get the manager. Tyler apologized with a smirk on his face and I left with no car. Evidently Hertz has abandoned all pretense of customer service

      The worst place ever left me stranded on the side of the highway for 7 hours then lied and said they had somebody coming and come to find out wasn't anybody coming had to call GM don't don't don't don'tdo business with these people I repeat don't do business with these people will leave you hanging like a mother ******I repeat don't do business with these people let these people slowly rot away into the past by hurts

      I had a reservation on my debit card and when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told the deposit would be $500 so I wanted to change my method of payment to my credit card and reduce the deposit to $200. I called the 800 number and was on the phone with a representative that assured me my rate wouldn't change since I was having to cancel my original reservation and make a new one to change the card on file. Well, I was charged twice. My debit card was charged $184.12 (original rate) and my credit card was also charged $230.16 (the rate Hertz chose to charge me which was not the original rate). I called to ask for a refund for the difference to my card since they raised my rate and the customer service is the rudest I have ever encountered!! Never have I ever rented from this company and NOT had a problem! I simply wanted a refund of $46 and have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. Never will book with them again.

      Hertz location in Sherwood AR is a joke. On the website they took my card information sent me a reservation number and said they had a car. I go to pick up the car and they didn't have any.

      Needs to be investigated. I was here on 6/5 and waited 2.5 hours for my reserved car. I am back (traveling for work and I did not book) and it is the same situation. Line of customers waiting with no explanation. I emailed the manager and never received a response. I also filled out their corporate survey and was asked to be contacted but have not heard anything back. They are not fulfilling their contract to supply cars for reserved times. They need to be fined and the should have an F for failure as a rating.

      I rented a vehicle from Hertz in ********* ** and turned it in at the ******************** Hertz in ***** **. When I dropped the car off nothing was wrong with it no smell nor was it dirty. A few days later I noticed that Hertz had charged me over $600 for a $200 rental. I called them to see why and they told me they charged me $400 for a cleaning fee. I was totally confused as to why would I be charged a cleaning fee when the car wasn't dirty I did have my grandkids with me but they didn't make a mess they were sleep the whole ride. The representative told me that in their notes it said the car had a strong odor, now I'm really confused I said what strong odor I don't smoke and me and my grandkids don't stink so what odor I talked to a few different representatives no one could tell me what kind of odor it was When I dropped the car off it didn't have any type of odor I really hate I rented a car from these people its like they can just take your money and say f you I am a hard working ******************** it's just hurtful for a company to take your money for nothing and there's nothing you can do about it Everyone I talk to at Hertz keep saying the charges are valid and there's nothing they can do I really want to talk to the person that checked the car when I turned it in I want to know what odor did he/she smell because there was no odor Hertz need to have multiple people inspect vehicles when people turn them in to be sure because I'm really being charged for a false odor I will never rent from these people again and I am informing others about my experience and advising them to not rent from them I am currently looking into legal help with this matter and sadly a law adviser informed me that Hertz has a history of over and falsely charging their customers and have a lawsuit against them for renting cars then reporting them stolen Hertz or any car rental agency that has anything to do with Hertz will never get the business of me my family or friends ever again!

      I would like to start off with giving them 0 stars because of their discriminatory behavior at the ******* ** HERTZ location. I have been a customer for over 20 years, over the past 10 years I have been dealing with an employee named ********. I have never had any issues with renting from this hertz location until she became employed, she rents me unsafe vehicles that have nearly taken my life. She over charges me with bogus allegations such as 400$ cleaning fees for smoke that is non existent. She speaks to me in condescending tones as well because she really doesn't want me there or any other person of color; she has now escalated to lying and making up stories once she saw that I was beginning to make complaints about her behavior and racist ways. It was brought to my attention that I am now a do not rent list for the whole ****, this has been a very discouraging and disheartening situation where I feel I have been discriminated against by the entire corporation because I was trying to voice my concerns about the treatment Ive been getting from this hertz employee named ********. They are clearly trying to silence my voice and this was their only option, but I will not give up until some kind of justice has been delivered.

      They suck! My wife and rented one in ************ for a trip. Airport had no cars and had to travel to the east side of town to get it! Plus, it had a Maintenance required screen cone on every time you started the car! We got the absolute filthiest, dirtiest car we had to clean just to go on our trip then when my wife returned it, they charged her card $500 for outside cleaning! Such bullshit! HERTZ IS THE WORST!!!
