      Would give them a 0 if I could. Got to Savanna airport and vehicle was not ready. It took longer to get the vehicle than it did to fly here. Representatives were rude and acted as if they could not care less. I’ll NEVER use this low class company again and will let AAA know that it should drop them as a business it promotes. Absolutely pathetic.

      On Thursday 22nd June I reserved and paid up front for a one week rental of a Tesla Standard Range Model 3, with 10:00AM pick up at my Coral Springs Hertz location Saturday 24th June. Arrived at Hertz Coral Springs at 9:45AM and waited for 30 mins at the counter, only to br informed they had no Tesla’s, they told me to go to FLL airport to get my rental Tesla, I asked if they could verify if FLL airport had a Tesla, they said it would, they offered a car to use to drive to FLL to change out for a Tesla. I decided to cancel the reservation, but they wouldn’t do that for me as I’d get a $100 cancellation fee. So I tried phone the 800 number given to me, to cancel, but nobody picked up after 15 mins. And Coral Springs Hertz employees didn’t want to deal with me. So I took a Uber to Hertz FLL airport and then waited a further 40 mins at Gold, only to be taken to wait a further 10 mins for the FLL Hertz manager to attend to me. I told the FLL Manager that Coral Springs office had sent me over to pick up the Tesla I had reserved and paid for. He told me he had no cars, that they were overbooked and that he wouldn’t deal with a Coral Springs Office reservation, and then just turned and walked away. So now I have no car and I’m 25 miles from home. So I’ve paid up front for a Tesla 3 they didn’t have, had to pay $96 in Uber rides. Plus waste 3 hours, and no car. I’ve yet to see if they’ll actually will cancel the reservation without a $100 penalty Told I won’t get a refund for my up front payment for another 7 to 10 days.

      I was overcharged $300 for a mistake they made with my cars registration. I rented a car to uber with and still had 2 weeks left on the contract. Hertz canceled the registration on the car and charged me $64 a day while telling me that the registration would go through and not to worry about it. I should have been charged $350 a week. When I turn the car in they took almost $900 out of my account. I will never rent with them again

      Rented a car at a location near Pasco, Nevada, paid extra for the insurance with roadside assistance knowing that it would be a long trip. While on the road I got a flat tire and called the roadside assistance number only to be told that I was not covered and that it would be an additional ~$90. Decided to forego that as I had already paid enough, and began changing the tire myself. Finally get another rental car arranged and while no fault of the company, the only car available was 50 minutes back tracking. Get to the Hertz location to swap the rental out, asking the agent details about the roadside assistance in the insurance and why I was told I wasn't covered, she was surprised and said that it should have been included. Overall one of the worst experiences I have had with a rental car company, don't believe a word they say. I even have it in writing that I had roadside, but that still did nothing to help.

      Rented a car for a business trip and the conference was canceled. When I canceled my Hertz reservation, the charged me a $100 cancelation fee (the total for the rental would have been $174). This is a company that does NOT cater to business travelers and has predatory pricing policies. I was a gold rewards member and could not get a waiver of this fee. NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ!

      Hello my name Jamie W,I drive for the Uber program, the Manager Jamie at hertz on military highway Norfolk Virginia told me to return the vehicle June 22nd ,she say that would be my last week I have to get a new vehicle,(if all calls are recorded pull it up ,June,16 1pm)when I turn in the vehicle this week she tells me I can't rent a vehicle because I'm on the blocked list. I paid my payment last week to run me to today. Hertz took $685 charging me for a extra week that I did not owe for. I called and called on June 15th and could not get a answer. I called for hours and hours and no answer. I called June 16th and finally got a answer after 1pm on the 16th. All calls should be recorded so if you pull up the recording you will get the evidence. I'm filing a civil case against The manager at hertz on military highway Norfolk Virginia. She has caused me so much pain and suffering and money

      Hertz should be required to advertise their additional fee to add a second driver. Most other car rental companies allow the spouse to drive for free. If this is not their policy, I respect that, however it would be nice to know at the time of booking to accurately compare prices. My parents rented a car at the same time as us. Their booking was in my dad's name but my mom's credit card and they said because her credit card was used, it was 'technically' in her name. My mom is blind in one eye and never drives. Yet, they had to pay they fee to have my dad on as driver, even though the reservation was IN HIS NAME!

      HERTZ had a reservation at the BWI airport in my name that was PREPAID. When we got to the counter they said it would be approximately a 1 hour wait. The company has made no attempt to compensate me for our 4 hour wait time that it actually took. The I have had no apology or even a concern that they had a problem. 4 HOURS. We were meeting a group to spread the ashes of my brother. We were over an hour away so we couldn't uber. I felt like this company would have not reimbursed us if we tried to cancel. So we missed some of our group, had to cancel dinner and find something open. I even mentioned this at the RIC airport when we returned the car and they could have cared less. So one of the excuses we got was that it was a problem with people returning cars but it was a complete lack of caring for the 100 people effected by Hertz. F- NO EFFORT TO FIX ISSUE

      I wish I could leave less than one! Car I rented from local office had a bad tire. Upon discovery the next morning, I was unable to return to local office as they were closed. Several calls to customer service resulted in having to drive 35 miles to swap the vehicle at the airport. Final bill included a $185 charge for Emergency Road Service - which was never received. Numerous calls/emails have resulted in no action and no reversal of charges

      I have rented from Hertz for many years and am a Gold customer. No more! On a recent rental at Logan Airport in Boston I was asked if I wanted extra insurance and said NO. (My personal auto insurance policy makes it unnecessary.) I was also asked about roadside assistance and said NO, as I have AAA. I had paid in advance, so additional charges were going to be minimal--I believed. Just a daily charge for tolls. But I was charged a total of $225 for a personal damage waiver (an acronym I saw on the invoice and had to look up to see what it was) and the roadside assistance. Several calls to Hertz have met with no success. Because I failed to read the fine print on the document I got at the rental counter, I think I am stuck. But I don't think many people read this when they're picking up a car they've already paid to rent, and are in a hurry--and I trusted the agent I had dealt with! It was a total ripoff that went against my stated requests, and I am exploring legal action.
