      The worst rental car company period. Second time waiting at the body shop and no one will answer the phone. Scheduled appointment 2 weeks ago. Had to cancel appointment again and call some other rental company

      My name is ************************* and I am 37 years old. I recently had reconstructive surgery on my mouth and face due to a connective tissue disorder I was born with. My jaw bone was degenerating so rapidly which caused me to have my teeth removed to prevent endocarditis (infection of the heart leading to death). I tried wearing glue on dentures but because I was loosing my entire jaw bone, they would not stay on. I had no other choice but to seek a rare surgery to save my face and be able to eat/chew solid foods. This surgery cost me 43,000$ and insurance would not cover any of it because they say its cosmetic when all my doctors have written documentation that it is medically necessary. I brought this all the way up to congress and they said there is nothing they can do. I had no clue on Tuesday that my follow up appointment would take over 6 hours and that I would hit traffic and have to charge the electric vehicle 4x for an hour each time. I read on the website that I would be charged 1/5 of a daily rate unless it exceeds 5 hours. I tried calling the local hertz but it just kept going to a recording. I was charged almost 200.00$ extra and when reaching out to ****** the store manager, i was only offered a 20.00$ credit. I explained my entire situation and he was incredibly Incompassionate and just kept saying the charges are valid. Now I do not have enough money to get to my next appointment because of this. I have been out of work for 3 months now and I am still in recovery. I had 6 screws placed into my cheeks and nose bones. All I want is a refund for the extra day as I returned the vehicle that evening as soon as I possibly could. Please help.

      I went to Hertz in Hickory, NC, to pick up the jeep 4x4 I had placed on hold a month in advance to rent. When I got there the manager asked to see my credit card. Didn't tell me she was going to use it for a vehicle I didn't even give permission to rent. I was supposed to get a jeep 4x4, my card was swiped for a Nissan rogue AWD. I would have never rented the car if my card had not been swiped. I was never told I wasn't getting the Jeep four-wheel drive and after my card was swipped by the manager, I had no choice but to take the Nissan! I was going on a trip and they just took $600 from me and it would be days before I could get it back. I contacted corporate as soon as my credit card had been used without my permission from this lady, for this type of vehicle. I was promised compensation and a phone call within 24 hours. I've never heard from them. Not only did I have to cancel a special booking, I had on my vacation because I needed four-wheel drive, the AC didn't get cold, and the alarm beeped constantly on the vehicle saying that the driver side door was open, And the passenger side dash leaked water all over my passengers feet the entire trip. When we got back with the vehicle, My fiance went to put the keys in the Dropbox and the Dropbox fell off the wall breaking the skin on my fiance's hand and all the keys for all the other cars were exposed. ( I have photos) Anyone could have took any of those cars, because they had access to all the keys in the box. I've tried contacting corporate for the 3rd or 4th time and still no reply. No email, no phone call, nothing! Terrible business terrible customer service.

      Where do I even start? First, this location is the absolute worst about answering their phone. I tried for months to call with simple questions. Never could reach anyone via phone. So Id have to drive all the ay there and hope they were opened. All that aside. On June 6th, a lady side swiped me in my rental car. So I brought it back and was given a new one. On the 29th. Im cruising down the hwy. another car coms from nowhere and slams into the side of my car. Everyone is ok, so Im thinking its not a big deal. Well, it is a Big deal. Hertz has blocked my rental privileges because I didnt complete 30 Uber rides in my rental that week. Even though I crashed the car and it was not drivable (I was on my 30th trip when I crashed, but it was marked incomplete). Then, to kick me when Im down. They charged me $79.00 for the car being towed in passed 5:00pm. But the worst thing about this whole experience I the fact that I cannot reach anyone that can help me resolve this issue everyone I have talked to says that everything is fine but it Ill not let me reserve a rental because of my ineligibility to fulfill their requirement on my past rental. Even the email address I was given to contact hertz to appeal this block on my account is invalid. This is the last place I can try to get a resolution.

      Absolute worst service EVER!! We reserved 2 full size SUV. We arrived to 2 small Kia. We were however charged for the 2 full size SUV. When we spoke to Janecka on the phone she I formed us it wasn’t her problem and she refused to help. I would NOT recommend or ever use Hertz again!!!!

      I will not be going back to Hertz nor will my husband when we need a rental. First, the lack of communication is aggravating, to say the least. Second, I was not given a choice as to which car I wanted, which I overlooked but that message could have been delivered better than, "This is what I have for you, here are the keys." Third, I was quoted at a rate of 35$ a day and ended up being charged 40$ a day. This price difference was not made aware to me at the time of the verbal discussion when renting the vehicle from the young lady assisting me. Forth, When she took me to the car, she took a few pictures of the vehicle and said she would send them to my email, which I gave her. Those pictures were never sent, though I took some myself. Fifth, under my insurance, I had up to a week covered and Hemborg Ford was covered for the second week. This was reconfirmed per conversation with both Hemborg Ford and Hertz of Corona. I did not find out that I was being overcharged till I saw the deduction from my account. On the Hertz receipt, it says that I had the car for 13 days when I did not have it for more than 8 or 9 days. I ended up being charged a few hundred more than I should have. To make matters worse, I have called Hertz for the past week and there is no way to get through to any live person as I have exceeded every possible phone dial selections I can. I will still fight this charge because it is not okay to treat customers this way.

      Tried to use a travel discount code through my work and they said they werent able to apply it because I already paid for the rental. Is it really that difficult to refund money back on the card? This is 2023. I quickly gave customer service all the nesasary information when calling and they said they could do absolutely nothing. No help whatsoever

      Greeley Colorado location i was renting a car through insurance while mine was in the body shop. it was a 80/20 pay. I was told my bill total would be $800ish and my portion with the insurance would be under $200. The insurance was said to be $24.99 i asked is that a one time charge and the manager said yes. They then tell me they are putting a roughly $800 hold on my card i ask why and they said it's in case the insurance doesn't pay. They tell me their printer isn't working but to sign anyways and I'll get a copy later. I received no copy. When i return the car they charge me the $800 and i questioned this as the insurance did pay them. They then drop the info that the $24.99 was a daily charge. I said i never agreed to that and your shift manager said it was a one time charge. The manager that day gave me attitude and said we have your signature agreeing to it despite them lying to obtain it. Tried talking to corporate but they use the same excuse we have your signature it doesn't matter how we obtained it.

      On July 10th, 2023, I rented a car from Montrose CO Airport location. I had reserved a medium-sized sedan, but when I arrived, the agent told me that the only car available was a pickup truck. I asked if there was anything closer to what I had ordered, but she said that was the only option. After while she found Mitsubishi Mirage which is economy car (lover class then I ordered) and said I have to wait until it will be washed. I asked cancel my reservation but she said she can't refund me money which I payed during reservation. However, when I got in the car, I was shocked to see how dirty it was. The inside was dusty, and the side mirrors were so dirty that I couldn't see anything in them. I asked the agent if she could clean the car, but she just ignored me. I was very frustrated with the way this situation was handled. I had reserved a specific type of car, and I was given a dirty smallest car in the world instead. I also had to wait 30 minutes for the car to be cleaned, which was inconvenient and unnecessary since it was dirty anyway.
