Withdrew $5,338 w from my bank account without my permission. Took them 4-5 days to put it back. When they did they shorted me $51.60. No answers as to when that will be given back. Said they would credit me $100 for the trouble and still no answers. Meanwhile they have no issue taking money while we rent it. I am a combat veteran and the treatment is horrible.

Dealing with Pods has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had.We tried for the full month of May to get Pods to deliver our Pod to our home. They never were able to after scheduling even after calling them 2-3 times a week for the entire month. We were only able to get the Pod, on June 16, when we went to the actual storage facility and basically complained enough that someone high up at Pods was able to get it delivered. From July 11 we called Pods every week to get someone to come out and pick up our empty Pod. Again, we were met with empty promises that someone was going to come and pick, but no one ever came. After a month of the Pod sitting in our parking lot, our neighbors and our HOA tried calling Pods to get someone to pick up the empty Pod. They never came to pick it up even after I would call them between 3-4 times a week to try to get someone to pick it up.Eventually our HOA us that if we didn't get them to pick it up by August 8th, the Pod would be towed from our home. Meanwhile while all this was happening, Pods would continue to charge us for container that they refused to pick up. So are bill continued to increase even after we communicated that we wanted it gone. Finally after weeks of calling, the Pod container was towed on August 22nd while I was on the phone trying to schedule a pickup with Pods. Now Pods calls me 2-3 times a week asking for payment on an overdue account. I have already asked for incident reports since September that are routinely ignored, and they continue to increase my bill for an empty container they would not come to pick up. We now owe them over 2.5K for a pod they refused to pick up for 2 months. This is after they promised us a refund for the months we tried to get rid of the pod.The only time Pod is good at communication is when they want your money. These people are thieves and their company is a scam. Stay away from them at all costs. This company is a scam and have failed at every turn.

Feb 2023 to present. If I could give zero stars I would. **** poor customer service they dont ever call or email back for anything youve asked for. I asked for all of the recorded phone calls and nothing. Ive asked for weight tickets because I am military got nothing. Theyve taken over a month to deliver my second container. They missed their own delivery date never heard anything about it. I had an investigation opened for this entire experience and the case lead must be on a 2-3 month vacation because she doesnt answer emails or the 2 phone numbers she has that I got from another representative and NOTHING. I called about compensation for the things I had to buy such as formula baby clothes groceries pots pans none the less just take out I had to buy for a family of 3 just to eat and I live out in the middle of no where so the gas Ive had to put in my vehicle to go get the food since I cant just door dash or post mate anything. Such an inconvenience

Pods dropped the container off the back of truck with in an hour of picking it Breaking and destroying many personal heirlooms. They made contacting them extremely difficult and were not accountable. Would never recommend them and despise their way of doing business

Rented Pod July 2022 in NY - Moved to Delaware in April - PODS in New Castle DE was suppose to give my moving access to my container which I scheduled one month in advance. The day of the scheduled move; April 28, 2023. PODS facility forklift broke - No one called - Found out through my moving company that the facility was having issue. The manager at the PODS location assured me that I will have my things the following Monday. Today is Monday; again no calls from PODS. My moving company BlackTie called me again this morning to advised PODS in New Castle DE still has not repaired the forklift as of 5/1/2023. A smart facility manager would have brought in a rental forklift. Call customer service to file my second complaint and speaking with a manager. Well, I have to wait for a call back because my customer service representative is STILL working from home and there’s manager on site (his house smdh). I will never use nor will I recommend PODS. There doesn’t seem to be anyone willing to hold themselves accountable for inconveniencing the customer.

This is a long time coming, but there were circumstances that prevented me from speaking out until now. Freeze 2021 my pipes burst and my house flooded. My house was deemed unlivable. I lost over half my possessions. What I was able to salvage went into storage, and Pods was chosen due to their reviews and since I wasnt sure how long Id be out of home, they had the convenience to come to my home with a unit and take it to their storage site. 9 months later I was able to move back into my home. The day I was to retrieve my belongings from storage the site manager at ************** location called to inform me that an employee had knocked my unit over while transferring someone else's unit. Pods would not compensate me for any of the damages done to what was left of my belongings. I have been fighting for compensation due to their negligence for the past 2 years. If anyone chooses pods for storage do not trust their storage sites as the employees race around on the lifts and dont pay attention when driving. Add insult to injury, I tried to get my insurance money back and the company told me I would only get a partial of the coverage I was PAYING for! PODS holds no accountability for their negligence nor are they willing to make things right by me for damaging my belongings. I will never use them again and have already been recommending people elsewhere for storage.

TL;DR - If you live in the city of Minneapolis and want to put your pod on the street, please reconsider or at least do some serious research about permitting requirements as the company policy does not match city requirements and communication is frustrating bordering on impossible. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Pods took what is an already stressful and expensive process and made it into a nightmare. I was not informed I needed to pull a permit for my pod until an hour before it was delivered, and even then I only learned about it because I called the company to double check my container placement. They only work with a third party permit company who charge a fee that is more expensive than the permit itself. I thought that was the worst of it until I received a $400 additional charge for "difficult delivery". After significant time on the phone with both pods and the city of Minneapolis, I learned that the company has a deal with the city in which they are required to pull permits for containers on the street. Because my permit was pulled the same day and not by the company, as required, the city fined them for illegal placement. Pods then passed that fine to me, without telling me (I only noticed it when going over my credit card statement). I did everything I could to ensure a smooth and painless move and this company has made it into an overwhelming, hugely expensive, and incredibly stressful process. I will never use Pods again and will tell everyone I know the same thing. What a nightmare.

HORRIBLE experience with the PODS company. First I couldn't schedule a time online to have my possessions delivered. When I called customer service (manytimes) none of them could schedule it, help me troubleshoot, or see anything that I couldn't see for myself online. They had no insight or proposed solutions.A winter storm was coming to *********** and the prediction changed hourly all week from rain to snow to nothing. I spoke to many representatives and they were unable to give me insight, tell me their delivery limitations for weather, or even connect me with the local facility. Then they canceled the day before, costing me double in city fees. In getting a city permit, city hall informed me that I had to pay extra (double) for a 3rd party *************, even though I was there in person ready to get it myself. PODS customer service was fullyunaware of this restriction even though it was imposed by PODS.I filed a complaint because of these as well as other lesser annoyances and again, service has been abysmal. I was given a dispute number on March 3rd, 2023 and told it would be **** business days until I was told the process to obtain a refund. Not a word since then (it's now mid-April), again despite multiple phone calls and emails asking for updates. Once again, representatives can apparently do nothingto help. When my PODS container was first picked up in June 2022, I had a similar experience in that I was not told crucialinformation until the delivery man was at my house. It was incredibly stressful and could have been avoided. Once again, bad service, as I had spoken to representatives on the phone before then and they could have informed me with notice. As far as I can tell, employees don't know their own product, service, limitations, or how to troubleshoot or respond. There seems to be no process for when systems fail. What do we pay hundreds of dollars for?

I am not sure where to begin. I filed a complaint to the company about an agent making a very uncomfortable pass while on the phone and a significant language barrier which resulted in an increase of 1100 to my bill that I was not told about. Kimberly who called me back after filing a complaint online and with the agent on the phone blamed me for knowing the price would change on a prior call and said she couldn't adjust the price. She seemed to not care at all. I get this is a business. They have billions of dollars and are gaining it by nickel and diming using their representatives to do it. So now, me as a single woman, am about to drive my belongings 14 hours because I can't afford the increased price. For reference, the inappropriate representative who hit on me is being "coached". Since the company will not help or care, I am posting reviews on the sites to warn anyone else looking to book. Look elsewhere. There are massive language barriers with the reps and even when misunderstandings are had, the company will look for a technicality to prove you are at fault. Unethical and just wrong. They also allow their employees to make inappropriate passes at customers. Even with that, I was told I was in the wrong and stuck with the increase in my bill of $1000.

I apologize in advance but this review is long.... I've never left a BBB Complaint before but working with PODs has been a nightmare. If I could leave negative stars I would... I have had my POD for years at this point and recently feel on hard times. I kept in contact with them and knew I fell into auction status but worked with them. I saved my items last minute before they went to auction, but was told I had to drive to the unit because they would not deliver it across country to me anymore. I drove from the West Coast to the East Coast to make arrangements to get my items out and close out this expense from my finances. This is where the nightmare began... I drove all the way across country and asked for "container access" to pull out my items. I drove up to the facility and noticed my lock was cut off and was only sealed with a zip-tie. I called the HQ line and was given the run around until I got ahold of someone who actually did her job. I was advised then that during the "inventory process" which was before the auction by about 45 days, they cut my lock off and took pictures of my items to "advertise them online before the auction". I spoke to a manager and she refused to give me her information and had someone else send me a copy of my contract and the images they took of my unit. You can see they went in my unit and moved items around, some items are not visible as they were when packed, and it appears they staged my items to be more appealing. I went up to claims and they were extremely dismissive even after I quoted the contract statement to them. I received a response today after reaching out MULTIPLE times by my case manager that "after the investigation they found nothing was mishandled". I asked for the evidence to prove it wasn't mishandled and was told "Our statement below is sufficient" and no information would be sent. I've lost over $4,000 staying on the East Coast dealing with this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

At this time, I have reached out to *********************************************** and have had no response. The original email was sent to my Spam Folder so I sent my response shortly after the last comment was made. I have not heard from PODS and I'm now out over $5,000 from trying to handle this matter locally and away from my home.
