1 starAwful. Pod never showed up on the first day. Second day did not show during estimated window. I hired mover and was charged twice. Trying to reach customer service, on hold for over two hours. Called several times and said they were busy. I am busy every day at work and return customer calls, not PODs. I would not even give one star. Run run and don’t call PODs. Also, additional charges tacked on and not up front about fees.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starI would leave 0 stars if that were an option. In 2021, my brother became gravely ill with ALS. He lived in ********. I had to pack up his apartment and store his belongings long-term. I chose one of their facilities in ** close to my daughter's home. After 2 years of paying for storage @ $300 a month, it is time to move his stuff to my home since my daughter passed away suddenly in December. I called to schedule a delivery for my address. I was told that I was not in the delivery area. ( an arbitrary 50 miles which I was not told about in my initial contact. There was much discussion about whether my address would be the final delivery destination a fact that should have been acknowledged if all calls are recorded) So, to have my belongings delivered, they must transport my container to a facility that is less than 50 miles from my home to deliver it to me. This will cost 537.03 and then 204.00 to deliver to my home. From facility to facility is 80 + miles. They have to drive by my address by 25 miles to get to the delivery facility, then back another 25 to my house. I live a mere 12 miles out of the 50-mile radius of the first facility. I feel they are holding my belongings to extort a ridiculous amount of money and the charges are tantamount to ransom. I was only charged 1200.00 to move from **. to **. I have tried to work with them for over a month, and I am willing to pay extra for the additional miles, but not for stupidity in logistics. I was told to come pack up and move it myself to avoid those charges. I am home alone caring for my brother who is on a ventilator and can't leave him with just anybody. I will hire a moving company to do so even if it costs me twice as much just on principle. They are unscrupulous and dishonest taking advantage of honest people. I will never use PODS again.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starComplete joke. Rescheduled date and got confirmation when I called after POD didnt arrive was told sorry and I would be compensated but no . If they record all calls as stated then they have record of my call so now saying I didnt reschedule and no compensation. WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEMPODS Moving & Storage

1 starOn April 15, my family order a 16 foot pod. We packed with a friends help. Need another pod requested one. The sent wrong pod this time only 8 foot need **************** due to rental of a storage unit and a uhaul. Then a drive being I am disable. Then when I reached my new place. They delivered pods. One small placed so family could not unload had to call pods to open door. Then it was turn to a drop off in my drive. Then the other 16 foot pod was placed on a hill and was sitting out of air by one foot. Never will I use pods and plan to tell the world of this issues . It is a hazard to me and my family.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starOrdered a POD was sent a Bent up old pod that leaks. Asked to cancel and get a refund and have spent 4 to 6 hours just trying to get it canceled and a refund. Also, the POD smells musty and stinks. I would never put my boxes and furniture in one. This was a mistake. We have used them in the past and had good customer service. I called and spoke to one person who had to transfer me to customer service who said they have had a lot of complaints about the offshore customer service team. This is the worst and will not be using in the future. Never aver use them if you want to have service and a good experience. Go to a competitor! Tring to get a refund of our initial deposit and getting the run around! I would give "0" stars if I could!PODS Moving & Storage

1 starCouldnt deliver my POD after 3 attempts. They just changed my delivery date without notifying me of any changes, then implied it was my fault. I have confirmation emails on every time they confirmed my requested date, which obviously means nothing. Been sleeping on air mattresses for a while due to there lack of honoring their delivery date. Asked to get s call back from a supervisor, still havent heard from them and probably never will. Bad way of doing business. I requested to be compensated for them not providing me with the service and am still waitiing to hear. This service started out real smooth until our POD reached *******. Seems like they are poorly managed if they have multiple chances to make something right and still screws it up. Ive been patient with them but now my patience is running thin.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starMy PODS experience took place in August and September of this past year, 2022. We were moving from ********** to ******. We purchased a house but needed to have our belongings picked up and stored for a month while we waited for escrow to close. Before I ordered our PODS containers, I went online and was assured that once escrow closed at our new place in ******, the PODS containers would be able to be delivered there. I went ahead and ordered 2 containers to be delivered to our old address for loading. Actually, I first ordered the large 16 foot one, thinking I would only need one container. I hired movers through the PODS website to load the container, and quickly found out it wasnt going to be enough for all of our belongings. I then ordered a 12 foot container, had that loaded with another team of movers that I secured from another site. Both PODS containers were then picked up and taken to the local storage facility in LA.When the time came to have the containers delivered to our new home, thats when I found out that not only would they not deliver to our new address, they wouldnt deliver to ANY address in the areaall 4 zip codes! So now I had to rearrange our plans in order to pick up our belongings from the local PODS storage facility, load them onto a rental truck, and personally deliver everything to our new addressadding $1000s to the original budget. And since both containers were ordered at different times, I ended up having to pay for an extra month for one of the containers while it was still at the storage facility. **************** was a joke, as no one was willing to rectify the situation. If I had known then what I would have had to go through with PODS, I would have never used their service. It would have been far cheaper to simply store our belongings at a standard public storage facilitythat alone would have saved us a substantial amount.Looking back, I would never recommend PODS for storage or moving needs. 1 starSince our move in February, we've contacted PODS conservatively a dozen times, while speaking to a different individual each time, all of whom requested a recap of our issue without resolution. I'll start with the origin of the issue, which is when we selected PODS initially, we had a contract for and were told that - it doesn't matter where you end up moving, we will redeliver the *** to you for $289. That was on our order . However, when we requested that our *** be moved from your storage facility to our end destination, we were told that we would have to 1) pay for shipping to another PODS storage facility 2) then pay for the delivery to our home and 3) pay for another month of storage, even though we would not need it. In trying to resolve this issue we were forced to call PODS at least 5 times, speaking to a different individual each time. Each call lasted at least 30 minutes, some over an hour. We have to re-explain the situation to each one, even after they said they were making notes on our account. After never receiving a call back, we were essentially strong armed into agreeing into those 3 considerations above just so we could get the *** moving towards our home. This resulted in a new order.This process unto itself not only cost us over $700 but was also a massive waste of time and unbelievably horrible customer service. We chose ********************** for our move because of the promised simplicity of delivery once we were ready to move into our home. We finally got the PODS delivered and were charged an exorbitant amount of money simply for our delivery. Now we tried to get resolution for the charges. Another another 4/5 calls with PODS, each rep we have to again re-explain the situation to each one, even after they say they're making notes on our account.After months, we finally heard from a customer service rep via email who did nothing, took only partial information into account and provided no resolution.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starI requested one of three pods be delivered and provided the unit number. PODS also moved the other two to the new city where I am renting, temporarily! I have no use for the other two pods. They are trying to charge me transport on these two and will not own up to their mistake. They will not even provide an answer as to why my dispute was rejected. They refer to a different matter with their reasoning and it has nothing to do with transport. The dispute resolution managers do not answer my calls, return voicemail, or respond to email requests to call me.12/29 Filed dispute 1/24, 2/21, 2/24, 3/6 ***** says each call dont worry, will be resolved, your possessions will not be auctioned and will be resolved in a few weeks< crickets >3/20 ****** rejected claim but reasoning associated with different issue. No explanation for denying transport dispute.4/17 ******* says this is being expeditedPODS wont leave it unresolvedescalated to leadership< crickets >5/4 Receive auction notice This has SHAKE DOWN vibes.
