2 starsI recently had pod delivery service. The pod was dropped off on April 26th in Staten Island and then delivered to Smithfield NC where it was stored. I then had it delivered and dropped off on may26th in Clayton NC. On that same day it was emptied and I tried to schedule a pickup ASAP. I did this online and the earliest available pickup from pods was June 2nd. I was then charged a full months storage fee. From my end it could have been picked up the same day on May 26th but in reality we all know that couldn’t happen but any there day after. Why should I be charged over $400 for a full month when I was not the holdup. It was a scheduling issue with pods I had the unit empty with the lock off and a clear path to be picked up. I even called first thing in the morning on May27th to speak with a representative and a message within the dept was generated addressing this issue. I was then told that it’s “encouraged “ to call within 7 days for pickup. Encouraged ??? It’s either you must call or don’t have to. So basically if pods had availability for a pickup I wouldn’t have been charged. Seems like pods values their customers as long as it’s fits their calendar.PODS Moving & Storage

As a gesture of goodwill, our PODS customer advocate has offered to refund half of the monthly rental to ************************

1 starI originally was going to use them for my move. When I place the quote, I set the destination to be local. But when I arranged it with the lady that helped me set it up, I told her it was going to be long distance. I arranged for three PODS to be dropped. The first one came and it wasn't one of the all steel with translucent sides. It was one of the wood, steel, and translucent top ones. When I asked if it could go long distance, the driver winced and said that it would be expensive. So I called customer service. They said they would swap it out the next day. Next day came and went, nothing. So I called again. That CS agent said I needed authorization and could not move long distance without it. I asked if my order could be fixed. He said no, a new order would need to be placed. I asked for my order to be cancelled and the POD to be picked up. He said it would be picked up the next day. Nothing. But now I had nothing on my dashboard, not even the POD that is in my driveway. I called again. The lady couldn't help me but said she would get the warehouse to pick it up ASAP. Nothing. I called the next day (Friday, June 2) and the gentleman said empty POD would be picked up on Monday and that I would get a confirmation Sunday night. It's now Sunday night, no confirmation. Nothing on the portal. Nothing when I call the 855 number. I'm about to call my county sheriff, file a trespassing complaint against PODS, and have the thing towed. I don't know what else to do if they won't pick up their stuff off my property.PODS Moving & Storage

2 starsI’ve used Pods moving and storage before and never had a problem with them until my most recent experience. They had send me a container I stored my items in for almost a year while our home was being built. When I received the container at our new home and checked the contents, there was mice urine and feces all over our belongings. This was an extremely frustrating experience since we had to toss out 75% of our belongings. I filed a claim with Pods and they deemed that there was no way of proving that this was their fault (like I packed a family of mice, right…). I spent about 5k for the year just for this one container to store my items and have it shipped to our new home just to lose out on even more money by having to pay $600 for a dump to toss the contaminated items. I didn’t have receipts for all of my items so I only put a claim worth less than $5k which isn’t asking a lot, considering I paid that much for their services but still would be taking a ginormous loss. What’s even more frustrating is that they were all of my sons baby items that we had planned on using for our baby girl who had just arrived. Having to replace a majority of our belongings was extremely expensive and has placed a giant strain on our family when we should be ecstatic to be moving into a new home and add to our growing family. This set back will linger on us for a while. The only reason I gave this review 2 stars is because I had delightful conversations with the drivers who delivered and dropped off my containers on both ends. I truly wish they would’ve resolved this issue in a nicer way. I will not be using Pods in the future. Please, do better.PODS Moving & Storage

RE:******************* (*** *******)Complaint #: ****** Dear ****************: PODS is in receipt of your correspondence concerning PODS Enterprises, LLC customer, *******************. ********************** received Mr. ***** claim of Rodents. ************ claims that rodents caused the damage to his personal property while stored in the unit. PODS fully investigated and reviewed this matter with personnel from the market that provided the services. We found that there was no physical damage to **************** unit to suggest that something happened to the unit while in our possession and we did not discover any external cause of loss. Please consider the terms of the PODS rental agreement as ************ entered into with PODS. The terms of our arrangement provides generally that ************ assume all risk of loss or damage however caused. This would include loss or damage from rodents. Additionally, the PODS arrangement requires that ************ protects against the risk of loss of his contents by insuring the contents stored. Should ************ wish to view the rental agreement, it is available to him by accessing his PODS online account. Should ************ wish to further discuss the account they would be encouraged and welcome to contact PODS directly at *************, customer service is available Monday Saturday 8:00am to 10:00pm EST and Sundays 10:00am to 6:30pm EST.We place tremendous value on our customers and strive to attain the highest standards in the industry. 1 starHorrible and terrible service, they beat us and damaged an oven that was inside a container and they do not want to answer for those damages. Since February we are requesting that the company Unirisk intervene and pay for the damages and yesterday after 4 months they inform us that our claim was rejected by company policies, I request that this case be reviewed.
Never again will I use pods.

1 starI won an auction with pod. First the charge your can 350.00 it's refundable but you're supposed to get it back the same day and they don't process it for 3 to 5 business days.... Big Red flag. Then I go to pick up the pd and the address on the invoice is the wrong address. Later found out they moved out of that one 3 years ago. Then I get there after you have to give them 24 hours notice was told I could pick up today. Get there The guy tells me you're not on the list but I'll go try and look for it for you. I was like okay great. Comes out 10 minutes later tells me I can't find your pod. He's like I'm going to have to send email find out where it's at in the facility. I'm like okay I'm sitting on the porch 2 hours later... Granted he did tell me he'd call me back but I'm also 45 minutes away from this facility and did not want to leave and have to come back. He comes out to tell me that he found the pod but it's empty. This is a complete breach of contract. I paid for it I have my invoice this as I paid for it and yet I have no inventory no items. I get on the phone I tell them I want my money back and I want it refunded today and this guy on the phone tells me word for word things happen but it wasn't like I'm sorry things happen it was like s*** happens. Extremely rude customer service. Tells me he's going to put me on hold. I hang up and I end up getting another woman on the phone she reads over my notes and she's like I'm really sorry but she does end up getting a supervisor to do their job and start the process of my refund. Now granted I believe that it's a legal breach of contract if they lose the items that I have stored there in an auction bid.PODS Moving & Storage

1 starHorrible service, I relocated thinking Pod would be the best fit for moving. Ive been living in my apartment for over a month with nothing because all my belongings are on the pod truck and YET I still cant get an actual delivery date. So I decided to just pick it up from the warehouse now they telling me I can come pick it. Horrible customer service, horrible management. Never again will I use pods.PODS Moving & Storage

I spoke to several people. Still no help. I have emailed and still nothing. No one can tell me where my the pods is so I can go pick my still up. Can’t give me a location and now they are saying my account is locked. My pod was in FL because they employee stated a detail about the pod you would only know if you see the pod. 1 starPods is a fraudulent business to my understanding of there business practices, I signed up for greater then 50 miles delivery I was told I would get charged so much a month guaranteed it is nearly double that has been every month we have used it for storage tell moving. When I finally get a cheaper local storage with my wife in our current new home town they say they don't service our zip-code which is in the same state mind you as we where in and am currently waiting service guarantee team or what have you to get a hold of me in the 72 hour span they gave me by e-mail, because they said I'd have to personally drive to there storage facility with a u haul and collect my own belongings and I asked for them to pay for it cause moneys tight and they said they would have there team reimburse me and the day after this short conversation I had with them after a thirty minute wait time that was 45 minutes they still took out the 250.00 dollars out of my wife's checking account. This is false advertising and there the worse storage there is by far in my experience especially when money is tight and me and my wife are staying with family on the other side of the state cause her family won a wrongful eviction case we filed against them. I will from this day on turn people away from this company that's my guarantee to them. I'd give negative stars if I could to be honest.PODS Moving & Storage

Now after I hear from pods through here and I try to access my account on there web page and I couldn't waited for almost two hours on hold and when I finally get in contact of someone he made me repeat myself and I am quoting him " I'm not from America can you repeat yourself I don't speak English so good." I'm just about done with this nonsense I have already started looking for a lawyer and plan on now filing for a possible criminal action. 1 starI paid $4000 to have a pod moved from ********** ** to ** as Im moving for dental school and every single thing I own is ruined. Id like to start out by explaining how truly terrible PODS customer service is. It has been over 3 weeks since my pod was delivered and every time I call in about not only trying to be refunded for the money Ive spent when Ive lost everything I own due to their negligence, but Im continuing to be charged additional money to store the pod while insurance works on the claim, and I have not received one call back, refund, or resolution this entire time. Im told the call center is unable to help me and I should wait for a call back from a case manager. I have not heard from ANYONE in 3 weeks! So I am out $4000 to PODS, lost everything I own, am in a completely new state without my clothes, shoes, electronics, documents, etc and not only have I not been refunded, but Im continuing to be charged without any resolutions. I paid extra attention to pack everything perfectly and spent over $1000 on packing supplies and movers to make sure everything was packed and placed perfectly inside where nothing would get damaged. When the pod arrived in **, there was water damage everywhere and every item in the pod is covered in mold. It was a hazard for me to even try to take photos for the insurance claim so I had to hire movers willing to touch these items for $800 to move everything out so I could take photos and then move everything back into the pod. Insurance is still working on this claim and I only had the standard policy they offer so even if they pay me the full amount of the policy, Ive lost $10k more in belongings on top of what the policy covers. This has been a nightmare and PODS has taken no responsibility. They have absolutely ZERO empathy for the situation Im in that they caused. If you want to lose everything you own and be out thousands of dollars while you have to navigate life without any of your belongings, give PODS a call!PODS Moving & Storage

1 starHorrific company to do business with, on all levels. I've spoken to multiple different departments at PODS to obtain resolution regarding my property damage, to no avail. They are extremely unorganized & unprofessional. Just when I thought they couldn't get any worse or make anymore blunders, they go and do so. Repeatedly. It kept getting worse the further up the chain of command I went. I no longer have the time or energy to fight with them over the extensive damage they did to my property when removing the POD. Thankfully, I've been in contact with Good Morning America & they're interested in further discussing my experience with PODS. I pride myself on my strength of keeping meticulous records & documention of all correspondances I have when it comes to business dealings. ****CONSUMER BEWARE****
