1 starDuring our POD pick-up, the PODS truck malfunctioned and spilled oil all over our driveway, bib and into the street. The driver told me that someone would be by the next day to power wash our driveway but that I should also call in the morning to file a claim. No one from PODS came the next day and the customer service response has been HORRIBLE since then. After 5 days, I finally heard from someone in the claims department with this email: "In an effort to promptly resolve this, we would kindly ask that you consider purchasing ***************** Dri (or comparable dri oil product) from a local hardware store as soon as possible. This product can be laid over the area affected and we have found it most effective the sooner that it is laid. This is because the hydraulic fluid we use, although not classified as hazardous, is insoluble in water. Should there be any additional action needed, we ask that you document accordingly, both before & after any cleaning, and submit it for further review." This was two days before Thanksgiving when we were set to be hosting in our newly **************. I don't know how PODS thinks they can spill oil all over our property and then ask US to clean it up. Also, the direction to clean it up 5 days later is too late. Our driveway is ruined and I can't get any help from PODS to resolve it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

1 starPODS illegally went into my bank account and took my money they have NEVER been authorized to a pre payment out of my bank account ever. I have records from my bank. No one is taking accountability for their theft or offering a call back when I have requested it, sighting and even a supervisor cant call me me back. What kind of customer service is that? Its ZERO care for customers at all. The employees talk off a script they have No real customer service training or brain power to do so it seems. I called a dozen times to talk to a supervisor for the past month in a half and have got no one to take responsibility for the theft that was committed. No one has called me back. There had been a very large amount incompetent employees there of late. During Covid that was not the case. My next day off I will be contacting the **** BBB and the legal head office department of PODS. I work in luxury customer service and this is the shoddiest I have ever been victim to.

1 starThis move with Pods has been riddled with frustration stemming misinformation in the booking process and the discovery of undisclosed fees. The representative provided unclear information, particularly regarding the 8-foot Pod's capacity, while neglecting to mention the existence of a 12-foot pod, unsuitable for long-distance shipping. This misinformation left me with no choice but to opt for the 16-foot pod, unnecessarily larger and accompanied by a much higher rental cost, resulting in both wasted space and increased expenses. The long-distance shipping costs surpassed the initial quote by over $1000. Compounded by a time constraint before relocating across the country for a new job, I was compelled to proceed despite the unexpected financial burden and no other alternatives last minute. This financial strain was a direct consequence of inaccurate information during the booking process. A clearer understanding of pod sizes and their appropriateness for specific needs is imperative when customers are booking over the phone. Transparent communication of fees is also crucial for a more cost-effective moving experience. As my December delivery date looms, a review of my statements unearthed additional issues. I discovered that I had been charged twice for the same fees in July, within a five-day span, coupled with undisclosed charges. Despite my efforts of addressing these concerns back in July, the promised corrections following a review of phone calls failed to materialize. This lack of follow-through has left me grappling with a financial burden that will be exceeding over $6000 due to unresolved issues and total fees for shipping the pod. The exorbitant costs make it apparent that, it would have been more economical for me to purchase new items for my move. My entire experience with Pods has been nothing short of stressful and a significant financial strain. I wrote a survey about this about this in July. No one has contacted me in regards to these issues.

1 starI ordered two POD containers, which were both delivered timely. I provided the SAME pickup dates for both containers 11/6/2023, as the property is a rental and they could NOT remain on the property after my move out date. Without notification one of the PODS was rescheduled for PICK up well after my move out date from my unit, which mean it would have to stay on the property and I would be charged a HUGE fine from the *** and required to pay RENT on the property I no longer occupied. After escalating to have a POD supervisor or higher address the discrepancy they were able to schedule a pick up date for 7 days after my move out date. I submitted an inquiry to have my issue investigated and NEVER received a response until 11/28/23, stating the case has been resolved and closed. Upon calling PODS to inform them that I never received any correspondence regarding the status of my case, the representative I spoke to was very condescending, rude, and impatient. After telling her NOT to speak to me in the tone or manner she had "SHE HUNG UP." I called back and found out the representative NEVER submitted a case for my original inquiry regarding the case being closed and no resolution provided or offered. I have been a PODS customer on and off for 9 years and I must state that the customer service has DECLINED SEVERELY. I will have my belongings removed and moved into another storage container company, as this is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR from a company that suppose to pride themselves on customer service. I DO NOT recommend using this company for the cost they should have more professional personnel assisting clients.

1 starI was not informed of the procedure if you have to cancel after the pod is delivered but unused. I had it for two weeks before pick up but they don't prorate anything . I was told that if I didn't use it and returned it empty that I would get a partial refund and not be charged for the entire month. So I just threw away almost 500 dollars . And the first driver who delivered it was rude. The guy Charlie who picked it up was very nice though.

1 starTruly an awful experience with this company, buyer beware, they are fraudulent and offer credits that never occur. I contracted with PODS to move a container from Vegas to New York. On the day the POD was to be delivered to my address, I received a call from PODS stating that they would not make the delivery due to their facility being closed on Wednesdays. I had called that morning and they confirmed it would be there. Because of their error, I received my POD late and had to pack my entire home in a day as to not lose my pick-up window. I had my POD in storage for 7 months. I then requested it to be delivered to another POD facility where I would have it emptied by movers. Due to errors on PODS end, they moved my delivery 3 times which caused me to delay my move to my new home, incur costs from the movers receiving the POD, and additional nights at a hotel. PODS claimed I didn't submit the proper paperwork however, I have screenshots from PODS stating they had everything they needed, each and every time I reached out to them. I called 2 days before my POD was to be delivered. PODS confirmed it was on time. The next day I received a call saying the container was delayed and I would not be able to access it for 4 additional days. Again, incurred hotel fees and lost my deposit with my movers. Had to scramble and find movers in a new state and paid a premium for the last minute reservation. I contacted PODs and filed cases. No one would call me back or look at my documents. They repeatedly closed the cases and then threatened to send me to collections. I will be going to small claims court next. Take aways from this company: incompetent, will tell you anything so you sign the contract, will offer you compensation and then revoke it, fraudulent.

1 starPods Over Charging Poor Black People...How many times do I have to address to you that your dumb customer service OVER CHARGED MY ACCOUNT TWICE? You have the information I'm sure of that.******/Dispute section, do you really want to force my hand to file complaints to the NEWS, BBB, and my CREDIT CARD COMPANY for stealing $54 and some change, REALLY! I do not want to hear about what you feel, this is my hard earn money that I worked for.Your value is trash and lies...l will also ask for stress and not to mention stealing from BLACK SENIOR PEOPLE with my complaint.I don't steal but obviously *** DO. I work hard for my money.Your customer service is horrible. I NEED MY CREDIT CARDS REMOVED FROM PODS SYSTEM, ASAP.I talk to **** today to order for removal. One of your ***** customer service charged my account for a month and the *** was removed from my home.Your workers love to overcharge people without thinking. My statements are attached with the #2 MONTHS OVERCHARGES.Since you cannot comprehend the word two or the number 2. Have somebody read it for you. *********************

1 starPlease read the reviews before you go ahead and rent their service . It was a nightmare dealing with them. I encountered multiple issues with this company where at the end they damaged some of my items. And the so call insurance coverage they make you pay is basically for nothing . I was given a different quote when I first initially rented pods then the amount changed . If you need to report to supervisor or manager they will tell never transfer the call and tell you they will give you a ticket no where somebody from solution team will contact and after hearing your complaint they will just deny. So dont even bother with that. I had one of the pods door jammed when my movers was ready to unload and pod did not have anybody to come and open that door. I was stuck with it like that . No point of calling customer service its a waste of time . Avoid this company at any cost . You will end up paying thousands of dollars with worst service at the end.

1 starThe worst experience I have ever had with a company. First, there was a delay in pick up for my POD. I initially received the pod on Sep 29th. I was told to call when I was ready for the pod to be picked up and that you would be able to do so immediately. Turns out, it took almost a month just for it to be picked up from my old address. I had to pay HOA penalty fees because of this. After my POD was picked up on Oct 23rd, I called the same day to make an arrangement for transport to my new address. Two weeks later, my POD was still not delivered. When I called to follow up, I was told it would take another week. It is now Nov 16th and it still isnt here. I have family coming from all over the US and overseas for Thanksgiving and my house is still completely empty. I called customer service again multiple times stating I need my things before Thanksgiving. I found out today that my pod hasnt even left the storage facility because somebody on your end dropped the ball and it was never scheduled to be transported at all. I was then told the soonest would be Dec 5th, but it can be expedited to Dec 2nd and then considered my case resolved. How is a TWO MONTH DELAY considered resolved? All of the associates I spoke to today admittedly said I was lied to in my prior conversations regarding dates/timelines. I was offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience, but I dont need a discount, I NEED MY THINGS before my guests start to arrive on Nov 20th. On top of all this, you continue to charge me for rental fees for the pod when it is clearly your fault since you keep delaying my delivery. If I dont receive my belongings by Nov 20th and I am forced to incur additional expenses to purchase necessary household items/furniture, I will pursue legal action. This must be a tactic so you can keep charging unnecessary rental fees to your poor customers.
