      I signed up for Adt service back in 2018 initially. They quoted a price that was within my budget. I agreed to their terms for 3 years. After three years of service, I upgraded to a new system for the mobile device. At the time, my house phone wasn't in service. The salesman informed me he could upgrade us with a panel with a camera. I agreed with the upgrade. When the technician arrived, he brought the incorrect panel. The panel was not what was promised. No camera was included with the panel. I had to call the accounts management department to see when they could replace it. I had to wait about three weeks before getting it replaced. Three weeks arrived and unfortunately when the technician arrived, I was informed it could not be linked with the system I have in place unless I changed the door and window sensors. This would result in more money. I informed the technician to leave it and I would keep the one installed. When I received my first bill, it was not what was promised. I called back and spoke with *************************** again. ****** was able to adjust the bill to reflect ***** per month for monitoring fee. The equipment fee is **** per month.On October 18th, I received an email from ********* Riviera . This was docu sign stating I needed to sign a contract for 5 years at ***** . My initial agreement was for three years. I have been calling to resolve this problem for three weeks now and no one has assisted in resolving it yet! I keep getting hung up on and transferred ! I informed them I am not going to sign a 5 year contract at ***** . I was informed if I didn't sign it, my service could be interrupted. I don't know what's up with ADT, but unfortunately the rating I am giving is 2.0 based on my previous experience ! It seems like after they sell you on an upgrade and then send you a bogus agreement that is totally different than what was promised, no one is available to resolve this problem . Please read your contract !

      My keypad was showing a "device battery low" The problem was with a sensor on a garage window. I called ADT. They sent me a large **** battery rather than a sensor for the problem.I called back two or three times, waiting at least 45 yo 60 minutes to speak to someone. When I got someone finally after 2 weeks, they said I needed to go to a retain store and get another type battery. They said they do not have any in stock. Yet, when I went to the battery/bulb store, they have plenty of the stock.Secondly, they would not send a repairman even though they have an office within about 12 miles from my house. The problem is stilled NOT fixed 2 weeks later. I think I need to look for a new security company.

      Horrible horrible thats why the do a contract to keep you in a crappy service!!!! They promise you the moon and give you a worthless guarantee. Completely unsatisfied as the could not install a camera in the system and then said it was our fault. They are the biggest joke!!! My longest hold time was 2hours and 45 minutes just to get hung up on. This hanging up on isnt a one time deal either. I have been hung up on 5 times and after long times on hold. Do yourself a favor!!!!! Find someone else. ADT is worthless!!!!

      I want to terminate my ADT residential security service but it is impossible to get in touch with anyone at ADT to deliver this request! I have spent the last 3 HOURS trying to cancel my service and I have been hung up on and disconnected FOUR TIMES!! The customer service with ********************** is the worst I've ever had to deal with and I am done. I am ready to go back to my old security service b/c their customer service is stellar and bonus, they are cheaper!

      Because they didn't respect the contract of $57 rate I have been trying to cancel my account 5 days in a row during more than 5 hours of "hold" time of ADT marketing or barren discussions. All my attempts were in vain. On the 5th day we agreed for a new contract of a lower rate . After one week I didn't receive yet the new contract whatever by email or by mail (I received the previous contract next day). The due date is Nov 4 in my account but they sent me a message on Oct 29 that the due date is Oct 23. A horrible experience, a disastrous Customer Service, this shady business must be somehow closed.

      A Customer since 2012 and have been deceived to the fullest.10/18/22 - set up appt for installation of system upgrade.We accepted a 3 pay of $198.58 for 3 months total $595.74, with the 1st payment due on day of installation. We were charged $99 at the time of scheduling the install and was told that the deposit would be deducted from the first payment of $198.58.10/19/22 - Tech came out to install system, was charged the full $198.58 plus $36, plus the $99.10/20 - I received an alert from my bank that my card was charged $27.86 from ADT. This was not disclosed. ****** offered options to stay, she stated that my next monthly amount would be $234.58 because the sensor was added for $108. I was told a one time pymt of $36, not $108. I paid $361.44 during for this install in lieu of $198.58, so I cancelled with ******. She noted my acct to be cancelled & stated the branch will call to complete the cancellation & pick up the equipment and refund my money.10/21 - I called back to ADT because I received an alert that a tech was on the way to my home for a service call for not receiving notifications. I spoke to the tech and told him not to come because I cancelled my service. I then spoke to ******* in Acct Mgt who used every sales technique she has to try and retain me as a customer. I declined her offer. She noted the acct that I accepted as I was informed of this on 10/27 by ***** also in Acct Mgt. ***** said he sent it over to the branch to complete the cancellation. 11 days as of today and ADT as FAILED to reach out, pick up equipment and refund my money. I cancelled in 24 hours of the system being installed and I was within my 72 hour ROI.I will contact an attorney on 10/31/22 if ADT has not resolved this issue.*****************************

      Their customer service is horrendous and they scam you into a contract without giving you a full understanding of the details. I signed up and was told I had 6 months to cancel if I didnt like the services. I was informed that if I go more than 6 months, I just have to pay up to 75% of the amount owed on equipment. Both of these were a lie. They dont let you cancel unless you have a system problem that is unrepairable. They also charge 75% of the monitoring amount and equipment amount. I wasnt even aware of the monitoring contract, I was only advised on the equipment contract. I also only ever received a receipt for the equipment installments. I was threatened when I called to cancel and told my credit score would be ruined if I cancel and that I owe over $3000. The entire experience has been awful. Now Im stuck in a contract until **** or owe $3000+ when I only thought I had to pay off $600. I am baffled by the service I have been given. I hope others dont get tricked by their sweet talking. I was stupid enough to trust them instead of reading the small print for myself. Such a huge mistake. Dont get fooled!!

      One of the worst companies Ive ever dealt with in regards to customer service. They charge a trip fee, aka service fee, for something that was wrong on their end with installation from the beginning. Siren was not loud at all. They insinuated that my hearing was bad. My doctor says my hearing is fine. They do suggest that I can buy a siren with a volume to MY likingas though I am deaf. But it is at a charge to me and will not repair or replace at no cost to me. They are thieves! Its all about money and they dont know the first thing about valuing their customers. They wont last long with this type of service.

      Agreed with the reviews - Worst customer service ever and don't even deserve one star. I called to cancel in July and they convinced me to stay and told me they would lower the rates. They didn't lower the monthly rate when I got the bill in October; I tried to do online chat and they told me they don't handle cancellation online. I then called to cancel and they put me on hold for more than 30 mins (2 different times and dates) because they recognized my phone number to flag me to hold forever (they told you how much billing you need to pay). They are charging us $53 a month vs Simplisafe at $27.99. Take your business somewhere else!

      What a deal with the devil! Never again. Steer clear unless you enjoy cold legalism, lopsided contracts designed to take advantage of you, inadequate hardware and software, and a cancellation process that will give you hypertension. Hate to pull this card, but Im an active duty service member, and I do not appreciate the way ADT treated me and my family.
