      I should have listened to the bad reviews. Now I will be charged $135.00 for the first thirty minutes that the technician is on site with an additional charge of $34.00 for every additional 15 minutes in addition to the $59.00 trip fee. All this because their cameras kept going out and one of their sensors went off causing a false alarm. Our internet repair guy suggested getting a new router, which I did. I was able to reconnect my Google nest cameras, but none of their cameras. Kicking myself for signing up with these thieves.

      I would give a zero for ADT if I could. I can't even get a technician to my house. And after reading the comments below, it is a God-sent message to me that I should not sign up with them. I have scheduled TWO appointments with them for a consultation and both were no shows. Although after calling the second time and talking to the tech for my area, I wasn't even on their schedule for the second appointment! And I, like others reviewing below reached about 5 people before I too gave up and hung up. I would certainly beware of this ADT security system for anyone reading this BBB site.

      The absolute worst Ive been on the phone for 3 hours trying to cancel my service, I still have not spoken to anybody they hung up on me twice and they are awful, I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy

      ADT is a scam.Ive made another complaint prior with no resolution. But this one is directly aimed at the corporate office. First, my husband receives a call from someone at the corporate office. He calls me since hes at work and asks me to reach out. I try calling the number that reached out to him and it goes to voicemail. I then receive a text and she texts back with a picture containing private account information, regarding my address, name, amount, etc. Basing the verification off a number that was on the account. I then ask for info regarding how much itll be to payoff the account in full and cancel the contract. She says Oh i could but i dont feel u should have too and that Im not a billing specialist but yet when she texted me she first said Yes the account has been terminated due to nonpayment. I would need to collect a payment of $152.87 to bring it current and then a $25 plus tax reconnection fee.. If your not a billing specialist why are you trying to collect payment? We had made an $80 payment and was on a payment plan and they still terminated our contract. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ADT. THEY ARE A SCAM. Rep name: *************************************** # : EF0001121

      Worst customer service experience ever. I have had them for almost 2 years and the service is awful. It barely works. Now they want to charge me to cancel because they said I renewed the services when I ask for proof they told me its all verbally. I asked for a recording and they said they dont have one. I spoke with ******* ****** he said he would give me a $25 credit but then tried to fully cancel the account. I asked for a manager and he told me there was no one higher up.

      I have ADT and called them several days ago because I was sent a monthly bill and I pay yearly. I called billing at least 10 times and was put on hold for 10 to 30 minutes and no one would pick up. This was on a Monday morning. I called several other numbers and was put on the same hold and no one picked up. I finally called their line for reporting burglaries and was put on a short hold and someone finally picked up. I told them that I knew it was the wrong line but I could not get anyone to talk to and could they please transfer me. They transferred me to the billing number that no one answered when I waited before. I called back and got a different person and explained the situation to him. I asked to speak to a supervisor but he ignored me and sent me to the same billing number and no one ever picked up.I went to the BBB website and was able to get a Headquarters number and explained everything to them and they were able to look it up and advise me correctly, I hope.What I do not understand after reading the reviews is why the BBB gives ADT a five star rating. When someone has a security system, they expect someone on the other line who is able to advise them correctly and help if necessary. From what I understand ADT has telephone pickup locations in several parts of the U.S. and it seems one end does not know what the other is doing. And the slow response, or in my case, no pickup to speak to someone to help is not acceptable especially for a security business.

      Salesman flat out liedoffered a promotion and said I could cancel after 1 year. Was not handed a paper contract, showed me the line to sign and didnt let me read his little tablet. Took advantage of the fact that I was a young woman alone in a new house with 2 kids and just experienced a break in. Im not even using the service anymore and Im being forced to pay for a full 3 years. When I did have the system hooked up, the alarm go off once when I was on my way home from being out of town, police were sent and there was no communication as to what transpired between adt and police, and no one could tell me what happened when I returned home 40 minutes after it happened. USELESS. I cant even begin to stress how awful this company is.

      Nearly impossible to discontinue service even eight (8) months after contract expired. ADT drops **************** calls repeatedly, does not cancel service, continues to send invoices and then turns you over to Credit Collection Services, ********************************************, who continue to harass you for services cancelled months previous. I will never recommend ADT in any capacity.

      They overcharge you and underperform. The sales tactics are deceitful as what they advertise is not what you end up paying. You are stuck with a 2 yr contract then must give them a month notice to cancel, which you must do by phone but NO ONE picks up! They hope you will give up. There are better options out there with better customer service, for less cost. Don't choose this awful company.

      Back in April 2020 during covid lockdown, I decided to get ADT.....as my partner works overnight and I wanted to be safe as a Deaf person with children.......last July 2022, I called to notify them I would be moving out state in August and don't need the service anymore. They kept charing us.........a few days ago we called and the representative were very rude. they lied that we didn't call in July. Not very cool...I have an email from a man..I even cut internet in august. there's no connection in the residency- it doesn't make any sense for them to continue charging if I called to stop service. I called again just now and JUST TO BE TOLD that our contract is for 3 years..thats a lie. ours were from April 2020 to April 2022...2 years not 3...I had to hang up because I dont accept lies from a big company.... I'm filing a complaint with BBB after this..My sister who have been a customer for a few years, will leave ********************** as well. After we read reviews...sad to see..
