      Worst company I've ever felt with. I've been a loyal customer for 4-5 years and decided to cancel service due to poor service. I received a call from the loyalty department offering me an upgrade on my system which would have been about $8 more a month then I was already paying. I said sure, let's do it on a 5 year contract. They set me up for a Saturday install which started off with a contractor when they assured me it was going to be an ADT technician not a contractor. I took the day off of work just to have an ADT technician show up at 12 noon. He was here at my house til about 3-3:30 and still hadn't ran the wires. He was across the street pacing back and forth by his **** I went across the street to see why he wasn't working and he told me to hold on, his girlfriend is tripping, she's bugging out. He had been dealing with girlfriend problems all that time rather than doing my install. I called the manager and she said she was going to call him to see what is going on, she then called me back and said to give him a chance to finish the job. He came to my side of the street for about 15 min then ended back across the street for about another 30min. I then told my wife, I don't want him to be the one installing our home security, his mind was not in the right place. I went across the street and told him to pack up, I'm not moving forward with the service, he told me his girlfriend was pregnant and her moods were all over the place and for me to be understanding. 2 days later I call the office to see if I can reschedule due to the circumstances and they gave me the run around for about a week and a half just to tell me they are not able to *************** for cancelling the installation. I don't understand how I was supposed to feel comfortable with that type of service. Im very disappointed. Also they left holes in my soffit and did not ever come back and fix it on the scheduled date they told me they would. Very disappointed. No loyalty to customers at all!

      ADT new policy is to call back everyone who had cancelled service for any reason thus to get that account reactive at any cost. I cancelled my mother's ADT service in 2022 because she passed away. While ADT does not have the intelligence to cross check cancel accounts with the death index to determine if the cancellation due to death. ADT calls me every couple weeks calling for my mother to reactive service at a new residence? YES, I INFORMED ADT SHE PASSED AWAY. ADT still calls for my mother as resent as the day after Thanksgiving. At such emotional time to live on without my mother over the holidays, here comes b****** ADT calling day after Thanksgiving. ******* has passed away.

      They have a limit on the video recordings and make there customers adjust there cameras to be less sensitive and record less.My truck got broken into and because of that ,they didn't record anything! Then as a unsatisfied customer I tried to terminate my service, but was unable because ADT CHARGES A FORTUNE TO CANCEL THERE SERVICE. There thieves and are only out to tie people with there contacts and steel ther money.

      The service has been broken down and unplugged for 6+ months, I declined a renewal offer and have spent to much time on the phone to get them to stop billing me. The agents are trained to talk in circles saying they can't help you until you make a payment. All for a monitor service that's not in effect and past 2 year contract. If you get transfered, you will be on hold with no info and I hang up at 1/2 hour.I get bills, emails and phone calls daily, all robo so you cant respond.This is the worst business I've dealt with to date.

      cancelled my ADT service after 25 years due to move. they told me I could close on 21 nov but they're billing me until 21 dec. when I asked why? they said it takes that long to close acct. so I asked what if the people that bought my house want ADT service there since the equipment is already in place. they said can get it and they will start billing them immediately. so I said that's double billing for the same house. they said talk to billing maybe they'll refund ya. so if they can do that why are they billing me in the first place. I'm not using it. also, how come it takes them a long time to close and account but they're pretty quick opening one. BTW when I tried to call billing they put me on terminal hold. people beware.

      Very dissatisfied. I got the service 4 months. First of all, I already had an alarm system, and the ADT rep came to my home anyway, even when I told him I had a service, he basically pushed the sale on me. Since that time, its been a problem with the system, faulty alarms, sensors not working, etc. not to mention ADT was supposed to cancel my current provider at that time, and they did not. Ive been paying 2 providers for 4 months.

      I have been and ADT customer for 3 years. My contract is up and I decided to cancel my service. Well good luck. I have been on hold 3 different times for 30 plus minutes and never have been able to cancel my service. This is terrible. There are many BBB complaints about this. Please help customers who just want out.

      I would give no stars if that were possible. I had a an ADT alarm system installed in 2013.I was unable to arm the system if leaving the house because my 8 lb cat would cause the alarm to sound even though the sensors were adjusted to allow for the movement of the cat.Now I am sleep deprived because last week, the alarm began to sound every night around 3am due to a faulty window sensor. After disarming the alarm it would chirp every 2 seconds for 5 minutes repeating every hour.I spoke to ADT technical support twice, was unable to resolve the issue, asked for and was denied a technician visit to my home. So I cancelled the service today and was advised that since there is a 30 day cancellation policy, I still have to pay for another month for a system that is unusable. Do NOT install an ADT system.

      I was forced to sign a 3 year contract at an agreed upon price. 10 months later, i receive an email stating that ADT will be raising my rate...how is this legal or even ethical?This company is a sham...how does BBB give this company an accreditation when they barely have a 1 star rating? With so many other options, go somewhere else...but don't take it from just me, just read these hundreds of reviews first!

      I was a new customer of **********************. With in my first 30 days I started having problems. Our system kept disconnecting from our cell phones. Then went on vacation to have our system fail. Our front door bell camra turned off. Called for assistance and had to be on hold for over an hour. Then was told nothing they could do until I was back home. When home I called and was on hold for a very, very long time again. Once speaking to customer service I was told to fing the box the hardware came in. What? My wife found the box. I was told to look for a flat tool to remove the door bell. What? I told the lady on the phone that I was a new customer and ********************** installed it, I'm not a tech. However, when I removed it, the doorbell camra is hard wired. I ask the lady on the phone if it is hard wired why was I removing it. I was told the battery needing charging. I ask if hard wired, why did it need charging? I was instructed to find a small s**** driver to remove the wires. What? I told her I am not a Tec, they needed to send someone out. I was told that was not possible. I told the lady on the phone that ADT needed to come remove all their hardware that we no longer needed their services. The lady on the phone said she needed to transfer me to another department. I was placed on hold for over an hour per my cell phone timer. I had tried calling, e mailing, and texting over the next week with no responces from ADT. My wife and I came home late on a Saturday night with the ADT Security System digital box blacked out with no power. Never received a call, text, are e mail as of this day. We would like a full refund and ADT come and get all their hardware. Thank you,**************************** ****************************************************************
