      This is the WORST home security service! I was with them for 20 years and the bill kept increasing up to the recent $200 per month. I have been trying to talk to someone from ADT and kept being transferred or hung up on. The Live Chat is a joke, as well as their customer service. Every one I did get to speak to, had the worst connection and I could hardly hear them. The wait times were over an hour. When I agreed for a callback rather than waiting on the phone, I didn't get a callback. I finally decided to choose a new and improved home security system where the setup is DIY and the customer service is very nice and helpful. It took me 3 days to cancel my ADT service and I could hardly hear him and he kept trying to get me to tell him what system I choose, which is my business, and he then ranted off how I will longer have service and he hung up on me. DO NOT CHOOSE ADT! It ranks the worse rating for customer service! If I could give them zero stars as my rating, I would.

      The absolute worse.Had been w/ADT for 5 years before discontinuing due to poor monitoring.Went with ******** in 2017&extremely satisfied.UNFORTUNATELY,******** made a huge mistake&merged w/ ADT.Wasn't aware of the merge until mid-Nov when an email caught my eye&immediately knew I was going to cancel service sooner than later.Previously saw a few emails from ADT,assuming they were telemarket emails,which I deleted knowing I would never do business w/ADT again.Last Mon.,received a call that my alarm had tripped.Unfortunately,1 week later&3 times leaving work,the alarm is still triggering.The first day, I assumed it was an isolated issue&would fix itself.Tues. morning,alarm again triggered after armed away.Went home to troubleshoot w/CRS that was adamant to tell me the trigger was a door¬ a sensor.Once proved her wrong,the issue was my panel showing different in her system.After that craziness,she gave instruction to reset the panel.As I asked,is that fixing the issue.Informed once the system resets,the issue is fixed.Explained my panel still showed an issue. Informed that she shows the issue fixed&will take up to 24 hours to update.Wed. morning alarm away,system tripped multiple times.Called for assistance&informed required to make a virtual appt.Appt for Thurs.12noon.&went home, as now my house was potentially unsafe as I informed CSR to cancel police notifications.Thurs-morning armed away,trigged alarm.Went home for 12noon appt.Troubleshot with tech by removing the sensor.Informed to replace battery.Replaced battery w/ no need to arm away until today.Armed system (12/5/22again alarm triggered.Contacted ADT &that I had a virtual tech last Thursday.Asked me what the tech said.Are there no notes to be read?The tech said replace batteries&after someone will need to come out if not fixed.I was informed that if a tech comes out,I may be charged.WHAT IN THE ***** IS WRONG WITH ADT!!!!! I am searching for a new company as soon as I type the last word of this review.

      Awful company, awful customer service. Awful wait times with hours on hold. Charged for service that doesnt work Stay away from this company.

      ****************** called ADT to check on my account found that they had already withdraw the money from my account the man went and tell me that I signed up for automatic withdrawal and I asked then how come Ive paid it last month my self. customer service number on to explain that if I had not done an automatic withdrawal that I will have to pay the complete cost. When customer service check my account again they explained to me that there were two names on my account the first name my name and the second name started with a T I did not know who that person was and they had the wrong name. They didnt connect me to billing billing sit up there and said the same thing that I had two names on the account and I said no the first name is my name Then the billing person went and said that maybe the bank has sent me another card and I asked with the same account number and expiration date I dont think so. I have been with this company over three years and this has never happened I came to the conclusion that is someone in the company trying to use my credit card for the purpose it was not given. The person in billing said that they would take off the second name. I also informed them that I had already called the bank and emailed them to stop that card they act surprised that I had did that you need to check your employees for someone to do this in-house

      My notes for 3rd call on 11/21/2022 at or about 10:36 to ADT support to cancel agreement: Spoke with associate#1 went over issues with multiple window alarms then spoke to associate#2 to discuss history. Associate#2 confirmed the 3 service previous ADT calls. I told her I was offered replacement with a reduction to about $300.00 . I told her how the police responded the last alarm since this took place during a time I was not at home compared the the previous alarms taking place on different windows at different times. Because of the last alarm, Polk ************* were called by ADT and they were at my home when I arrived. The county keeps track of the ADT alarm calls and how I would be paying for such calls in the future. Associate#2 discussed an offer, with a partial upgrade and signing a new 3 year contract. Based on the poor service of the ADT equipment and requiring the 3 techs not able to fix the system, I could not depend on their system/service. She confirmed the records show I would NOT be charged the final year of the contract. Not only was I changed for the remainder of the contract I was billed for another month of service. My ADT account shows my check for $439.87 was received by ADT on 12/1/2022. But I have a charge on my credit card that I requested the credit union not be pay due me sending the check to ADT on 11/28/2022.

      WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. I have been an ********************** customer since 2008 and have never experienced as much trouble as I have in the past year since I've upgraded to installations of security cameras. Not only is this costing more money per month, but within the past six months I've spent at least six times on the phone (whenever I COULD get through to someone due to horrendous wait times) to only be told I'd have to schedule a virtual technician appointment which was always scheduled at least a week's minimum out from the date of the call. Due to a power failure in our neighborhood, both security cameras were knocked out. After attempting all the recommended trouble shooting at the ADT website, and trouble shooting with my wireless router and internet, (which is working fine) it's been two weeks that the cameras refuse to function. Today I called ADT and got a recording that the minimum wait time would be 103 minutes (Are you kidding me?!?) Also there was no chat option available. I am sorely tempted at this point to cancel with ADT and go with another company, since I'm paying more for the upgrade and having so many problems with minimal company resolution. I want this resolved or ADT will be losing another customer.

      I've been a customer of ADT/Brinks for 27+ years and trying to cancel my monthly service. I am under no contact and it is just impossible. I call and wait 1+ hours on the phone 3+ times and still get a bill a month later. I have talked to ******, *****, someone else and now ****** to try and cancel and it's still not working. Will call again tomorrow. They won't let me talk to a manager to try and get this resolved. Never will I use ADT in a new home again. When I buy a new home I will have the system ripped out if it's ADT. I have been telling everyone I know what a horrible company ADT/Brinks is and to not use them if possible.

      13 Year customer moving into a senior living center. Paid bill every month on time never missed a payment. Tried to cancel service because house is sold. Representative said I owed $800 plus dollars for breaking a contract that *** NEVER signed or seen. Insisted I send in proof that Im moving! I am a senior with health issues and speaking with the representative made my blood pressure go up!!! Every time I called to speak with a manager I was put on hold until the call disconnected or I was hung up on!!! Speaking with a manager or supervisor is impossible. I told the last representative I was going to file a report with the BBB and was hung up on again!!! After 13 years of being a stellar customer I dont deserve to be accused of signing a contract until **** 13 years ago. I asked for a copy and click I was hung up on again!!! PLEASE HELP ME CANCEL MY SERVICE without a $800 plus cancellation fee for a contract that I did not see or sign 13 years ago!!! How did I know 13 years ago that I was going to sell my house and have to move into senior living????

      ADT is a HORRIBLE security system!!!!!!!!!!! I was never able to create an account since online became available!!!!!!!!!ADT has horrible cancellation services!!!!!!! I have tried to cancel my services since I am moving and they refuse just to cancel my services. I spoke to 3 different individuals, ******, *******, and ********. ******** told me that she canceled my account and instead she put me into another service that I did not agree to. Had to hold for over 4 hours just to get transferred over and over. **************** at its worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a negative star available, because ADT deserves negative stars!!

      Worst company ever. October 2016. sales guy came to my house to offer an alarm system package, after some negotiations we agree on a contract for TWO years in which the alarm system will be paid off) and after that the service fees will be only for around 20 bucks a month (he said). After two years I called them, and they said my contract was for 5 years instead. I paid 75 dollars for over five years to these liars. Tried to cancel the contract with no luck, did not get anything from them other than an apologize while they were taking my money from my bank account. You will get no empathy, no honesty from them. ADT, Protection 1. same c***
