      ADT customer Svc rep came out and not being honor about selling me svc. I made clear I did not want a contract. He lied told me the 4 camera was free and need to give him 1 dollar. told me how much I will be paying each month. In December 2021 I called my bank and found out they was charging me two payments for service and $2000.00 for equipment. I spoke with Rep. and they kept telling me I sign contact. I told them I had to sign invoice that equipment was installed. On December 23, 2021 spoke with Rep. I told her I was not paying for the equipment. She went and debit my checking account $1900.00 plus over night. I went to bank on Xmas eve and found out they had taking money out of my account. I filed complaint and they return my money to my account . I told them to come out and get the equipment. I found this to be fraud and *******. said they do this all time. now they trying to collect when I told them to disconnect svc .

      This is for ADT that services the ***** area.First and foremost, we did not sign up for ADT, ADT bought out our security company AIS. We had never received anything in the mail confirming us as an ADT customer nor registered on ********************** website. We were paperless with AIS. Fast forward we were having issues with our doorbell and security cameras while we were away on vacation. Upon returning home we called the tech number on our app that was now ADT because it transferred over after ADT too control of AIS. All happened automatically, we never signed in or out of the app. The technician said they couldn't help because we didn't have an ADT account number and didn't know our verbal passcode that we did not set up.After a good bit of back and forth I was told I had to request a mail in copy of my passcode. I explain how the mail is not secure and that did not make sense and requested a technician to come out to fix. They said they could not because I didn't know my passcode. After more back and forth I asked for a credit for the time I won't have service waiting on a piece of mail and was told no. I then requested to cancel my service and was again told no because I needed my passcode. After waiting a week for the mail and not receiving it I tried calling again and was given more of a run around but after numerous calls and dropped transfers made to a person that did end up giving us our passcode (was previously told no because of security) stating an exception to policy. For the record the passcode was never set up by my household and wasn't anything close to something we would pick. In the end we will be canceling and will continue to warn people about the absolute horrible customer service experience we've had.

      I have the Blue by ADT. Two of the sensors don't work. I tried to get them to send me two new ones.....guess what? They won't listen to me. They said I have to trouble shoot with them. So I did. Three different afternoons.....yes, hours of troubleshooting. The techs don't know what they're doing. They keep guessing. So I ask for my money back. Guess what?! they won't give me my money back...my charge for returning the system and cancelling my service is Over $1000.00!!! Which I stupidly paid up front for the whole system. Meanwhile I have one door and one window thats not covered. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Nope no can do. They don't have anyone else to talk to except the account manager that handles my account. She says she's the manager....***** I think. So, don't bother with these people. They are horrible. If you don't do things their way, you don't get any results. I'm so stupid for going with them!!!!!

      They are terrible with customer service and withhold vital information about cost and service calls. I recently had to have a service tech visit my home because their online tech was unable to fix the problem I was having. The appointment was set up and I was told I would have to pay $59.00. When the tech arrive a week later, he was able to reconnect my system to my new ISP. Then (for reasons unknown) he said that my camera/******** had to be changed (at no charge). This was done, but since he left, I have received six different critical low battery warnings about the doorbell. I was told today by an ADT rep that I need to remove the doorbell and go purchase a special charger to plug the doorbell to and charge the battery for 8 hours. This was never relayed by the tech that did the work. Next, I requested a replacement sensor for the back door. He said okay but I would need to pay $45.00. But, he mentioned nothing about charging me to remove a one inch piece of tape and sticking it to the door frame. This took about ten seconds and when I received confirmation of the service call, I was charged an additional $85.20 for ten seconds of work. When I called ADT they said there was nothing they could do. I would never recommend ADT to anyone and I am canceling all my service with ADT today!**********

      I called ADT about an alarm activity to find out that I did not have an active account with them and had no protection. I called management who were less than concerned and scheduled a tech for a visit, he then told me a tech would be at my house, verifying a number where I could be reached. was on the phone (on hold) for over an hour, they failed to show for my scheduled appointment, having the wrong phone number, telling me they called, but they had the correct number and failed to fall it.

      Our alarm went off on a Tuesday. My husband found the problem - a smoke detector with a dead battery. He changed the battery but the alarm light would not go off and we could not arm our house. He called the emergency number on the key pad and waited 45 minutes to get a live person who then said he needed to transfer my husband to a technician. He waited another substantial period of time for the technician who was located not in PA but somewhere in the midwest. The technician tried to help over the phone by telling my husband what buttons to push to turn off the alarm. It did not work. The technician told my husband she could send out another technician, but could not get to the house for four days. She told my husband it would cost $25 for the service. He set up the appointment. On Saturday the technician came. In less than five minutes he found that the top of the smoke detecter needed to be more tightly closed and fixed the problem. He then said the cost would be $204. We said we were quoted $25. He said we needed another protection plan - the *** plan for an additional cost each month to get the $25 service fee. We refused to pay. He was a very nice man and said to call ADT and let them know we were quoted the $25. Today I called ADT and stayed on the line for about 1/2 hour. No one answered so I gave my number for a call back. When they called back the system did not work and I was told to call back again. I called back and got back in the queue and waited another 45 minutes to finally talk to someone. That person said we still had to pay the $204. We said we wanted to cancel ADT. She said we needed to talk with someone else. We waited and waited and then talked to the next person who said if we remained with ADT they would take off $150 of the service call fee. We said no, we were quoted $25. The person we spoke with said sorry, if you leave ADT we will still charge you the $204. This company is a sham.

      This is a company with hidden cost.I have used them for over nine years and not complained until now. The company is in the process of upgrading from 3G networks to a 5G one. Now this would be great except, in order to continie using their service you need to upgrade all equipment at your cost. This in itself is deceitful as there is no mention of it in my contract. There is also no mention of devices expiring after only four years and requiring the customer to purchase new ones. I am a certified electrician and I am only familiar with a ten year life expectancy. Steer clear or be ready for the fees. I am sure that any other company could integrate the equipment I already have.

      They advertise like they want to help veterans which is really a slap in the face because they will send a commission based tech out to your home and unless you come out of pocket you wont barely get anything. They overcharge you for things they wont even install. Definitely wont be going with this company again

      I really have had no issues with ADT. They are responsive, helpful, and always available. They negotiate billing and they don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. Most reviews in here are people who don't read their contract or even remember what they read when signing. I still have all my paperwork of the day I signed and and updates.

      Worst customer service ever alarm system constantly having problems would diffantly adivise not going with ADT
