      This place should be investigated and shut down. We called on ***** to order 2 nest cameras -after we were told by adt they needed to be purchased through them. After speaking with ****** Nest we were assured WE DID NOT have to purchase the cameras through ADT. We called back within 45min and cancelled the two cameras we ordered though adt - which charges 30 dollars more a camera. They assured us the order was cancelled and we would receive an email with the cancellation. Next day no email so we call again and ask has the order been cancelled - they assured us "Yes, I am looking at it in out system right now as cancelled" I asked again for an email and was told within 30min I would get one.. again no email. I called AGAIN a few hours later asking for the email to be sent - sure enough they told me it would be sent. Well the next email I got from ADT was an "order shipped email" containing 4 cameras for a total of $******! Immediately called ADT and they have no record of the order even though they deducted the money from out account! This place is a criminal enterprise, they will not refund our money because they told us they have record of the order! THIS IS INSANITY!!!! Why has this company not been shut down or even investigated for fraud?! Look at all these complaints! We are now in dispute with our bank trying to get out money back! Please do not use this company - Like someone else mentioned once you sign on with them they are full control over everything. They never sent us a contract to pull ****** from us - They lie to customers - **************** has been completely outsourced by people who's only response is I completely understand the problem sir/ma'am. They only care about making sales and will lie, create their own orders, and tell you that they had nothing to do with it. They told us they cannot even enter an order number sent to us into their system to look it up! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN AND WE ALL NEED TO FILE LAWSUITS OVER THEIR FRAUDULENT ACTIONS!

      Upsetting experience with ADT technicians and agents. The technician didn't complete the installation that I was guaranteed as a new customer. He did not install the second camera. In addition he did not give me a panic button as I had ordered. The Technician did not teach me how to use ****** nest doorbell. He told me to call ADT to have someone come out and install the second camera and to give me the panic button. He said the next technician will teach me how to use the system or to call him and he will help. He then gave me two bogus numbers to call for assistance. (one number was the technician to their support team) the other was his number. I made numerous calls to ADT to resolve the installation of the second camera etc. I have a log of calls made to ADT that exceed 9 agents on one call and was on the phone with ADT for over 1 hour and 38 min. I was under stress from a recent accident and dealing with ADT made things much worse. My heart rate and ** went up high. The incompetence of their not knowing their job was astounding. I plan to write to ********************* President and CEO of ADT. I decided to cancel with ADT after that experience and when I called to cancel I spoke to a representative who appeared to know her job. She assured me of the following; that a technician would come out, install the camera, teach me how to use the system, and give me the panic button. A technician came out 12/22/22 said he is only here to give me panic button. He said he could install the camera but that he would need to charge me for it. He then went out to his van came back and said he did not have the proper equipment needed to install it and someone else would have to come out. I told him that he just said he would be able to install it and now suddenly he doesn't have the necessary equipment. I told him that I did not believe that was the truth. He left stating that I was being offensive. I called ADT to cancel service but no one helped me.

      We finally had enough and cancelled our ADT service after being customers for years. After many technicians made service calls and replaced equipment it still NEVER operated correctly. One technician in particular gave off the impression of being very put out to even be at our house fixing their garbage devices. Good luck trying to reach them by phone. 5+ times I sat on hold for over 40 mins just to be disconnected We should have cancelled forever ago and went with Ring, Vivent or another company. We ignored the very first red flag, the salesman showing up at 7pm unannounced and super shady. I could share so many more reasons to avoid them at all costs. Do your homework, read the reviews and make a smarter call than we did. What a waste of money,

      Called ************* and requested service for my ADT smoke detector. ******* sad your smoke detector is 5 years 3 months old and should be replaced. She said nothing about service call, nor price of new detector. **** came out and said there is a $120 dollar service fee, $10 fuel tax.I said you did not advise me before you startedhe said I have to pay $254 dollars. Did not receive a receipt for payment. No written detail costs. Complained on 5-19-22 and unknown supervisor said the charge is $169. And refund is coming. E mail showed $24.00 refund. Talked with Manager. He said he cannot do anything.. I told him his tech **** stalled around to get more money. Example no smoke detector brought in. Had to go out and get one . Stayed outside for five minutes getting here and at least ten minute toget the smoke detector. I should have been advised of costs beforehand. I never got a receipt.**** said the service charge is always $120 plus ten for gas. Female supervisor lied. $254 dollars for a $30. Dollar is theft.. if they told me of the charges beforehand I would have done it myself. The manager said the charges are not determined the way **** said. Ll this should be recorded on their papers or records. Thank You

      We were an Ackerman customer. ADT bought Ackerman and took over our account with no notification or choice. We wanted to cancel our account, but the only way to do so is to call customer service. We have been on the phone since 1:30 this afternoon trying to do this and were left on hold several times for hours because every time we said we wanted to cancel, we'd be put on hold again without any notification and left on hold for another hour. Even though we never signed a contract with ADT (and our Ackerman contract was long over), they still said we have to provide 30 days notice. I cannot tell you how frustrating this has been. We're finally canceled at 8:20 this evening. If we could give them no stars we would do so.

      Once you sign the contract with them, you are in one-sided relation where no matter how hard you try to cancel it, you are the loser and they are the winners. I paid 3100$ for the equipment upfront and 64$ per month. 2 months after joining the program, my camera stopped working. I attempted to fix them for some hours even after receiving a guideline from them. It didn't work. Now, I have been waiting on them to stop by in person and fix them. They are saying that they will charge me 100$ for that. Not to mention that they didn't bother to respond to my email for weeks. If I knew this company better, I would have avoided to paying the price of equipment upfront. It's the worst business practice I have personally encountered. And so long as my issue isn't resolved, I will keep this review in here. In the meantime if any safety incident happens as a result of their failure to care for customer's safety, they will be surely sued.

      The most dead beat scamming company, who took my money off my credit card, after I cancelled my service with them. I am with this company for less than 7 months, and called them over 20 times to come and fix their no ************** that they place in my home. Now I am just tired of them and their service, because they left me unprotected, after paying them every month for my service. Criminal ADT, I want my money back on my account. You kept sending workers at my house with bad batteries, bad equipment and expected to get pay and went behind my back and fraudulent rob my money from my account. You didnt carry out your deal to protect my property, so I need my money back, you crooked company. You send me all booth legged equipment,, you scammers. You dont deserve not even one star. I want my money back from your scamming crooked so call company.

      They continue to bill me after my account was cancelled. Impossible to get anyone on the phone who knows what theyre doing. All they do is transfer you from one representative to the next without any resolution. Thieves!!! Would give them zero stars if I could.

      I called adt to find out about moving fees and they ended up canceling my service and collected almost $500.oo "cancelation fee" when I didn't canceled my service. I called about 6 times to fix this issue and the promise to restore my service and nothing happens. How they are still in business with all the negative complains that I see from many people almost about the same thing?... Stealing customers money!
