      My parents had ADT for 20+ years, last year the account was changed to my name & my father because my parents moved out of the ******** was left in charge of it. My mother passed at the beginning of this year, we finally got the house sold this month. I called ADT several times to get the service plan cancelled, that was a horrible ordeal because the wait time was horrid like one time said 80+ minutes & when you select to be called back, no once calls you back. Anyway, finally got the plan cancelled & was told I would need to submit documentation of mom's death certificate & dad's POA so we will not be charged the remaining balance on account. Not one customer service representative stated I would have a separate charge for the equipment. A few days after cancelling the plan, my account was drafted $643, I had no idea what this was for. So, again I had to go through the HORRIBLE customer service process to finally get to someone & then after complaining about how this was all handed, they requested a refund. That was 5 days ago, today I find out after calling b/c ADT provided no feedback the request was denied b/c it was in the contract & sorry someone in cancellation **** should have told you. Again, let's continue to show the horrible communication to customers from ADT whether you call or email, no info provided back about the denial, no info provided about the withdraw for equipment, s*** you can come get this equipment that I had issues with the cameras frequently anyway. I will never use ADT again & if anyone ask I will tell them to search elsewhere. The customer service provided is not equivalent to the amount of money we have to spend for the service. I wish I could give a 1/2 star rating because I don't appreciate the outcome of closing this plan esp to customers that had been with them for 20 yrs. And yes my father the original owner of the plan was still on the account so this isn't just to me. Not waste your time, find another company.

      I have been a customer for three years. After three years, ADT attempted to charge me $843 for an install I paid for 3 years ago. No bill was sent. They just attempted to charge my card without notice. My local office confirmed I didnt owe them anything. It is criminal that a company would do this. This is one of many issues with this company that Ive experienced. Luckily, my bank notified me of the pending transaction, asking if I approved it. I said NO! How is this company in business still? Look at all of these complaints. They need to be investigated. Do not buy their services.

      My services has work off and on I tried it for a year and now I want to cancel.,but they keep transferring me to cancel department, but no one pick up .I have been trying to cancel for month.I asked for auto pay to be canceled, but they are still taking money out of my account. They keep emailing me that my equipment is offline, but they have not reach out to me. I want my money back now.

      ADT has the absolute worst customer service ever!!! Do not do business with them! Once you're a customer, you can expect wait times of at least an hour! I had the pleasure of listening to elevator music for over 2 hours the other day! This is not abnormal. But, I had to talk to someone because of course my equipment wasn't working properly, AGAIN. I ended up canceling my service and now they say I owe them for next month's service, even though I was paid in full until the time of my cancelation and was not under contract. This is a horrible company!!!!! Go elsewhere for your security needs! You'll be left bankrupt, disappointed, and angry with nothing to show for it except broken equipment

      Their customer service is awful. At no time can you speak to customer service to fix a problem. The prompts on their phone numbers all have the same prompt and often the wait is up to an hour. When requesting a call back their prompts do not work. I have never dwelt with a company that has such poor customer service before. Im surprised they have any business at all since they cant resolve problems with their existing customers. There has to be a better home security company that can provide satisfaction for their customers. All they seem to do is install your system and dont seem to care about their service. A company this big could at least provide a telephone number that has a live person you could talk with. Worst company I have ever worked with.

      ADT is a dishonest company. Their equipment failed to capture a serious event in front of my home. A neighbors child was possibly going to be abducted. His father intervened. The system was a total failure.

      I have had ADT for about 2 years. My young wife passed away suddenly and I had to sell my house. I contacted ADT and practically begged them to forgive the last 4 months. After talking to several different departments I was asked to send in my wife's death certificate and ADT would forgive the remaining months left on the contract. I sent in my wife's death certificate and I received a bill in the mail from ADT wanting the last 4 payments in full. I have been in customer service my entire life. If a customer has a problem I do whatever it takes to make them happy. I don't wait for their significant other to DIE!

      I have been with ADT for almost 3 years now and the customer service has been awful! For starters, the woman who came to my home to sell me the system threw in a device that I never use. Ever. It's seriously a waste of money. My panel continues to beep despite changing the batteries 3 times within a month. Whenever I call, there's always an astronomical wait time and the person on the other end says they can set up an in-person appointment. My doorbell camera stopped working and the service technician told me to delete the camera then said there's nothing else he could do and he would have to schedule someone to come out next week! Not very secure. For as much as I'm paying every month, maybe they should hire some people who are truly trained to help customers troubleshoot. Or offer remote troubleshooting services. It's ridiculous. And I cannot wait for my contract to end.

      I bought ADT in April 2021 and was hit by Hurricane *** that September. I didnt have power for 2 months and still dont have internet (December). They took it upon themselves without telling me and cancelled my account and then sent me a $1,100 bill to payout my contract. I called the main number and told them I want to continue my service once I have the repairs made to my house (I had 7 of water on my bottom floor where the keypad was) but they told me Id have to pay the balance. They even turned it into a collection agency! I decided to pay the balance and be done with them forever!! I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy. Some compassion during a really rough time in South *******, even Xfinity waived our payment during the time they werent providing service. And the local person I bought the system from wouldnt do anything to help me. Never again will I use them.

      The worse security company their is. I had Ackerman for 3 years with absolutely no problem. Within two months of my contract ending with Ackerman, Adt took over their clients worse ever.I renewed my contract thinking I would get the same service or better like Ackerman. My worse night mare. The Alarm system itself Is horrible, customer service support is even worse the wait time is 2 hrs long or more. My contract with Ackerman was 3 years and all of sudden it's 5 years. Fast forward yesterday I called to cancel my service and to pay the remainder balance for the service the first rep told me ok my service will be canceled and what can she do to keep me as an Adt customer I told her nothing because I'm not to please of the service. She then sends me to billing to make a payment. I stayed on a call with billing for over a hour I told her I just canceled my service and want to make the outstanding balance payment she told me I couldn't until January. She said there's no payment at the time. I told her I'm trying to make payment now because the card I had on file isn't active. She still told me I couldn't until January. Ok hours later I see they (Adt) ran that same card I told them not to for $583.00 so today the following day I called them again stayed on a call for almost two hours with ******* gave him the entire recap from Dec. 22 he said he could help me I assisted on a supervisor to take the call he said he can help me if couldn't he will transfer me. Well I got neither. I tried to make the payment again but this time ******* took my new method of payment and told me he's holding it until I pay all the $2000 of the contract. I told ******* that's not how it work and I read him the contract. Contract states we will take the last month payment off card on file and bill you separately. My monthly bill is $67.00. I'm running out of characters now so I can't finish but long story short Adt is the worse and there not for their customers at all more like business bull
