      Needed to get service at my house once already signed contract. It takes over 45 minutes to get someone on the phone. I finally decided to cancel my service because of their customer service. To cancel ********************** will put you back and forth on the phone with different people, them make you wait over 60 minutes with each person just making it so dreadful to cancel the contract that you almost makes you give up. It finally took me 4 hours of 1 day to cancel my service. Cant imagine if I had an issue with my alarm.I do not recommend this company ADT

      Trying to keep it short, I had Northstar security service. ADT bought my contract from Northstar.I don't want ADT, so I called them on November of 2022, and after dealing with them for almost eight hours, getting transferred and hung up on I was told my service was cancelled. Then, in December, I saw on my bank account that an automatic withdrawal was taken out for a month of ADT. I call and the customer service rep told me that ********************** didn't request it. So I go to my bank, and they reverse the payment. Now I'm getting emails and physical bills from them saying I now owe for two months. Every time I call them I'm told yes, your service was cancelled.How in the world to I resolve this. I'm 76 years old, and have an excellent credit rating, but I'm afraid this will lower my rating.They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.Please advise.*******************************

      The customer service with ********************** is horrible. I have called for days to try to get the account canceled for a closed business. I cannot get through on any 800 #s. It is a constant hold. The agent on chat would not help me and told me it would be 30 days before the account will be canceled after I get through to customer service on one of the 800 #s. From reading other reviews, it sounds like this is a recurring "rip-off" with this company. It would be good if someone with some legal authority would step in and do something about this company's practices.

      I have been a customer of ********************** since 2007. I have been 90% satisfied with the company and its services. Unfortunately, each time I have relocated, which has been twice, I have experienced challenges with my billing; either they increased the rate or overcharged me. With my last move, I called in advance to transfer my accounts and set up installation at my new address. The service guy was amazing and very helpful while installing my new updated equipment at my new address. However, a few months later, I notice I was being charged twice by ADT. I called customer service to rectify the issue and was told my account at the old address was not closed out. Thankfully, I kept the communication from ADT saying my account was being closed at the old address which I shared with the representative. The representative apologized and said I was eligible for a refund for the months I was being overcharged (over $400) and it would take a few weeks in the mail to receive it. After waiting 4 weeks, I did not receive a check. I called again and they informed me that it was a miscommunication to why the check was not sent and should be on its way. Another 3 weeks pass, no check. I call again and they informed me instead of sending a check they have credited my account. I replied with I did not ask for a credit; a check was to be mailed to me. They then said, they will send a check with the remaining $340 to me. That was at the end of November, and its Jan. 2nd and I still have not received my refund. I have called and not have been able to reach any one to resolve my issues. Time to seek a new security service.

      Hi have been trying for months to get a paper certificate mailed and they keep saying they have sent it by email. I say I dont want email I want a paper copy sent thru the mail. (Dealing with another country). When I call no matter want number I use I get the same people and the same answer asked a million questions after being put on hold for lengthy periods of time still no resolution

      I have had ADT for 2 months now. When i connected it, I was told that I was signing a 2 year contract. I asked what if i dont like it? And the gentleman said it can be cancelled in the first 6 months. I have had constant issues with my cameras and after following all of the instructions online to reset them, they continued to fail. I called ADT and they sent instructions which didnt work. Then I called to cancel and they said i am outside of the cancellation window but they can send a technician to come to the house. THe tech arrived and said I will have to pay a fee to have the work done. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. IT doesnt work, and I am paying for it and not allowed to cancel without paying the rest of the contract. I am LIVID. Terrible customer service and a terrible bait and switch when I signed up. I am definitely contacting the ************************ if this isn't resolved, this is ridiculous and I feel so *******.

      For several months I am trying to cancel my ADT service. Cancelling, is only possible by talking to a CS representative, but this is almost impossible with wait times of several hours.Once I managed to get through, but then agreed to instead of cancelling to upgrade my service for a substantial discount (USD 200). Unfortunately, a few days before the scheduled appointment a rep called me and mentioned that the upgrade will cost over USD 300, i.e., no discount. I responded that in this case, I want to cancel my service. She just hung up and I never heard from ADT since then (the appointment was scheduled for Nov, 22, 2022.)I am very frustrated as I cannot cancel ADT and ADT now even raised the monthly fee, despite their promised "ADT forever rate".

      I have been an ADT customer for over 10 years and recently I’m not happy with their service. First, my home alarm is not working since a year ago, I called ADT customer service and I was told that my home security system need it to be update. I scheduled appointments for a technician to update my security system several times and they failed to show up (at least three times in the last year). In the meantime, ADT continued to charge $50 a month for a non functional system! So I had enough and I contacted ADT to cancel the service, the customer service lady canceled my automatic payment, however, she could not canceled my service (I had to call a different department); anyway, I call the account/ service cancellation department and there is a wait of 180 minutes to talk to a representative, I tried to wait and at least three times in the last month and for one reason or other I get disconnected before talking to a representative. Some how I can easily get a hold of a customer service representative ( for updates, payments, upgrades, etc.) except the cancellation reps. Additionally, I tried to discontinue the service through their website and I could not find the feature for ‘termination or cancellation’ of services! This company is not worth the money for the service they provide. I’m currently residing in California and I have been in the US Navy for almost 30years, and this is one of the worst companies I have experienced in my entire adult life!

      Awful awful had a smart lock installed got locked out of my house called85 minute wait said they would call withstood time for tech to come never even I called ******************* up on me I am handicapped and need door to unlock also have a faulty medical device they cant fix

      Red flags! I have a new CBH build with already installed system-contacted ADT because I wanted outdoor security cameras. The tech comes out to install and activate the system to find out the cameras aren't in the van. He told me his scheduler would call me and he would come back the next business day. No call. I call him and he said he would contact her again. No call. I call the service line and they tell me I have to make another appt for someone to come out and that would cost $99 or I can purchase the equipment, install myself and have a virtual appt. So I decided to do that and my appt was supposed to be @3:00pm 12/29/2022. I got confirmation calls and text the day before my appt and the day of.. no call. In the meantime, the ADT control app suddenly doesn't recognize my password/username. I tried resetting it, and it wouldn't send me a link to my email. I call ADT on 12/24/2022 to have this fixed and was told I have to schedule an appointment for someone to fix it. I schedule for 12/26/2022 and no call--> Instead it was moved to 01/02/2023 w/o notice. When I called about the no-call on my appointment for 12/29/2022 the manager said there was no ticket for it. So no "proof" there was an appt made even though I received reminder voicemails and text for it. I told him I want to terminate my service. I have had it less than a month and haven't been able to log into the control app to control my services, the cameras I wanted aren't installed, they aren't following through on their end of the contract. He told me I would have to pay 75% of the remainder of a 3 year contract. I am stuck and have been tossed around all over the place- can't access my account or turn on or off the services, and the cameras are sitting in a box. I can't install them because I can't link them to my account because my account is locked and I have to wait for another appointment. This is the worse company ever! I've emailed a manager twice and still haven't gotten a response from him.
