      Back in 2020 when our practice was moving, our previous practice manager called to cancel the ADT service. He was told by a rep that it would be taken care of but that we have to mail a letter of cancellation to the address on the invoice. ***********************************************. We did so on 8/30/2020, 9/30/2020 and a final notice 11/30/2020.We never received another invoice for this account and ADT was made aware of our address change since we called to cancel for that reason.Upon receiving the collections, I reached out as the current Practice Manager to ADT on multiple occasions in which the customer service was TERRIBLE. 9/21/********** Called ADT and Representative **** was helpful, he looked into it but he is with residential so he transferred me to small business 9/21/22 10;38AM Transferred to home business solution center to representative ******* rep#**** she did not help me and just kept offering life alert services and telling me I had to sign up. And I was unable to get any assistance This whole issue was an error on ADTs part for not documenting communication and/or being told incorrect information by a representative.

      Terrible customer service they do not gave a c*** about their cameras. I have not had full access to my cameras in a month and prior to that the other cameras were not working properly. They are refusing to refund me or take accountability for their mess up. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

      ADT service is seriously overpriced. I was kept on hold for 40 minutes the first time I tried to cancel before being disconnected. The second time I called I was on hold for 57 minutes and transferred twice before I was able to cancel. I strongly suggest checking around first if you are considering using them.

      Do not use this company for your business. I spoke in detail with a representative to set up cameras for security purposes in and around the office. They assured me that the cameras would not pick up audio (illegal in ** unless the employees consent) as we did not want that, we only needed visual recording when the office is closed. So here I am training the new office manager on the ADT Control site and showing her the different cameras and how to pull them up and telling her she can only view as it does not record audio. I pull up a video to show her an example and OF COURSE you can hear everything. I immediately contacted ADT who said they could fix it on their end and they would call me 2 days later to confirm. Cool. About 2 hours after them telling me that, I get a call from ADT stating there is nothing they can do about that as the cameras have the microphone built into them. I called out their practice of giving misleading information (or straight lying) in order to secure a contract and the representative just responded "yeah I know". DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO SECURE YOUR BUSINESS. They may open you up to major liability. They got 1 star because I couldn't leave it blank.

      Horrible! Been trying to close my business account since June its now October! My husband and I have called every month due to them trying to pull money. Every time we call were told that theres no record of us trying to close the account. I have accumulated hundreds in bounced fees due to their negligence. Now Im told that they cant close the account until the beginning of November. Im still going to be charged for another month of service that I dont have. I will never refer or use ADT again.

      Below are the issues I have had with the ADT system for the past 16 months:We initially requested cameras with voice/speakability be installed outside our abode to cover the driveway, our back storage shed and a doorbell camera. What we got were two indoor cameras you cant communicate through installed on our porches (not outside like we were seeking) with absolutely no coverage of our driveway or backyard at all. The doorbell camera was said to be unworkable due to voltage issues and they tossed in another indoor camera with a short plug wire to get three cameras in, but still no door coverage. Every security need we were trying to fulfill was substituted with an inferior solution.In addition to having no coverage we wanted, and a little substandard resolution at that, we found it was blinded by lights from inside AND outside which provided absolutely NO security at night. These are the top of the line cameras according to the tech. The security interface is clumsy and difficult to delete false hits in masse very easily. After a week or so, youll get behind faster than you can did out being able to delete only a few dozen at a time. It is difficult to find phone numbers for communication on smaller issues we discovered since we were STILL trying to make this thing work out for us. Contact on business issues is challenging. There is no local tech or business office which makes resolving small technical issues difficult. Such as why my backdoor sensor battery runs low about once a month for the past 3-4 months. Finally, I do not feel we get good (any) service feedback on issues we may not be aware of. I was curious if our security service would notice any cameras being offline and undiscovered by me. I was notified of the possibility five days after I powered it down. I asked myself why am I paying for this and had no good answer. So we terminated our contract. Cost us hundreds! In short, this system provided absolutely nothing in the way of security.

      **************** is terrible! You will wait on hold for close to an hour only to be told you have to be transferred to a different department. Once you are transferred, you are either put on hold again for close to an hour on disconnected. Once you finally get through to a live person, you have to jump through hoops to even try to get a technician to come to your home to address issues. I am so sorry I spent thousands of dollars upgrading our system with this company. I wouldn't even rate 1 star if it was possible. Not to mention I upgraded an ADT system for my mother's house in April only to continue to receive invoices from the previous account prior to upgrading. Contacted billing department, told the old account would be closed and no money was due. Set up an appointment, made a special trip to ******* to have a couple cameras installed and ADT tech did not show up. Upon calling to confirm appointment was told there was a past due balance on account and until that was paid, no service could be performed. Explained the situation and the fact that there was no balance due, auto pay off credit card was paying monthly, old account should have been closed. ADT rep got pretty nasty with me on the phone and did not send technician. Absolutely horrible customer service!

      If anyone reads this I would stay away from this company! They are the most non ******** company ever! My husband got orders to deploy and I wanted to move back home but ADT is making us pay the cancellation fee still. How are you going to hear my husband is deploying and pretty much say F-U we still want our money. So now I get to stay alone with no family around because you dont want to waive the fee for us and we cant afford to pay the cancellation fee. My advice to anyone use any other security company I hope this company gets put on the ban list for military members and families!! If I could give them zero stars i would.

      My alarm system no working , company is aware since a technician came to my house, still getting billing for the services. Call the company multiple times for cancellation put me on hold for long period of time until I have to hang up. I also tried the chat system, they referred to call. Worst company for cancellation, customer for over 18 years.

      ADT has no mechanism for cancelling service online. Instead, you have to call and wait for a human rep so they can try to talk you out of leaving. I have been on hold so far for half an hour and no rep. I may need to file a BBB complaint and ask for assistance. Companies like this that try to remain "sticky" by making cancellation difficult and keeping some amount of revenue from customers who just give up are the worst. I strongly recommend avoiding contracting with ADT in the first place. Choose something - ANYTHING - else!
