      They put you on hold for an hour when you ask to cancel service, hoping you will hang up. They increase the monthly service $10 a month every year. The batteries they install for the outside sirens have to be replaced every year in ******* due to the heat.

      This is a business built on lies, and they are still in market because they either will wear you out by putting you on hold for hours and transferring you from agent to agent. They also make you sign contracts to monitor which they never disclose that you cannot cancel. For your own sanity avoid them like plague

      This company promotes home security systems however, the Sales Reps make their rounds at night in the dark. How does this promote home security. I'd rather answer my door in daylight. It was also during my family dinner hour. What a nuisance. ADT does not know anything about customer service if they keep sending their sales rep out after dark door to door. I will not do business with them.

      I spoke with ADT's account management department. They were not monitoring my system for approximately 3-4 years. I had removed my home phone system due to an issue but my security system still showed it was working normally. When the phone was removed I didn't think anything about it. However, I had talked to them multiple times and they never told me there was a problem with my system. They didn't know there was a problem with the system until I called them in July and said hey disregard my system alert. They said they didn't see it and had me do a test and found out that way. Tell me why wasn't there an error message during all this time. The code FC popped up and when I told them they said it was Failure to Communicate. After I spoke with them about this issue they continued to bill me knowing they weren't monitoring me. I refused to pay them. They said they were removing the balance and then after hanging up with them . I got a call from the ********************** of ADT. I can't make this up. Oh and when you want to escalate higher then the supervisor, the manager doesn't take calls or emails. They said I could send a letter to an address but it wouldn't go to her. Seriously this is very disappointing.

      ADT IS THE MOST HORRIBLE COMPANY. I BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 16 YEARS. MY BILL WENT UP EVERY YEAR BECAUSE I WAS NOT IN CONTRACT. I WAS PAYING ALOMOST $80 A MONTH. AS SOON AS I CANCELED SERVICE ADT HAS MYSTERIOUSLY CAME UP WITH A CONTRACT DATED OCTOBER 2ND. HOW IS THERE A CONTRACT WHEN I CANCELED SEPTEMBER 1ST. AND I DID GIVE THEM 30 DAY NOTICE AS REQUIRED. NOW I BEEN ON PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR SPEAKIMG TO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS. ADT PLS MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE.

      I set up this security system in the home. Have had issues with the equipment since installation. Had a servie tech back out and still doesn't work. Have paid for their services for over a year now without using the system. Have spent hours now trying to cancel the service. They set my passwords to things I never use and had to get them to mail me a letter with my verbal passcode. I couldn't login to MyADT.com to get that verbal passcode. You click reset password there and it says sent you an email with instructions on how to do that. No emails are received. You try the security question and that doesn't work. Once the verbal passcode is received in the mail you can call back and sit on hold for over an hour and then argue with a representative about cancelling the service. They explain how I never had an ADT tech out to address the issue. Not sure why they say that as they installed it and did come out and work on it. Took me over an hour on the phone to finally get it cancelled. That is with me agreeing to pay the rest of the contract costs. I never said I wouldn't buy out the contract they just want to try to keep you as a paying customer. Worst company had the displeasure of working and would recommend anyone avoid them at all costs. They are higher priced than the other companies I have used, the quality of the equipment was inferior, the customer service was non-existant.

      I have made numerous calls to ADT to remove my discontinued cameras and equipment and have been told conflicting and wrong info by ADT. I have been transferred to many departments many times with. ***** minute hold time only again to be told its the wrong dept??I was told that a technician would not come out and in the same conversation I was told it would cost $59.00 to have the tech come out! Ive been a loyal and PAYING adt customer for years and dont deserve their bad treatment??

      The absolutely worst company and uses the bait and switch philosophy.They really well sell their product and then are missing in action. No amount of calling resulted in either an answered call or got a call back.I went to the office which is locked and by luck got an employee walking out who got me a managers card with cell phone. His answers were all lies and said there was no record of the more than 20 messages left by my wife.We changed our security devices and instructed the credit card company not to honor any further debits.ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

      In my opinion, if you are looking for a company that will give you service, respect, and listen to your comments per your problems this may not be the company. I was transferred to five individuals who I had to repeat my problem to all over again, the last person hung up on me. I still have the problem...........Ed

      A salesman came to my door claiming he was from ADT (turns out hes through Safe Street) who LIED to me and told me I was required by my county to have a security system installed and that it would lower my homeowners insurance by about 25%. He told me the offer he was presenting was the best offer they had and I wouldnt get any better deals than that. He then told me I would have 6 months to cancel my services if I didnt like them. ALL OF THESE WERE LIES. Apparently Im not even with ADT, Im with Street Safe and I had to wait over an hour on hold just to find that out! They wont let you cancel your services without paying them $1000s. This whole service is a SCAM and its one of the poorest run business models Ive ever seen. Youre better off setting up a laptop with a webcam as a security system than having these b*******
