I rec a fraud alert on my bank card for $37.57 from this company. I've never heard of this company, nor have I ever placed an order with them. I had to cancel my debit card and issue a fraud alert. This company seems to be obtaining peoples credit card info and using it to charge their accounts. I demand the money be refunded and an apology issued. I will be filing charges of fraud against them as I NEVER had contact, orders or dealings with this company in my life. They have somehow obtained my cc info and used it for fraud.Initial Complaint

On May 8, ***************************************************************************** socks to aid in health issues but to pay shipping of $6.95 only. I received the pair of socks and was debited the agreed upon amount from my bank account. On May 22, 2023 I was charged, without my consent, an additional $37.57. I called them *************) on May 29, 2023 to enquire what the charge was for. I was told by a lady named, *******, that she could not find my order and needed my credit card info. I didn't feel comfortable giving that and ended the call. I looked through my emails to find a different phone number and called the number from the email ************* this is supposed to be the marketing director, *************************) on May 30, 2023 and spoke to a man named *****. ***** refused to give me him employee ID number or his last name with which to identify him with. He also refused to transfer me to ************************* and informed me he was working from home. He looked over my order and said the $37.57 was a monthly charge that I had agreed to. I told him I had not agreed to that and had the proof as when I placed the order I had grabbed a screenshot of the transaction and nowhere did it tell me I was signing up for a monthly subscription. He said the subscription was to receive 50% off their other merchandise. He said he would be the refund request through to their accounting department and I'd hear from them in 3-5 days. I did not receive that email from accounting and now no one answers my calls when I call back. As a matter of fact the only email I received prior to me calling them on 5.29.23 was the only from ************************* thanking me for my order. Nowhere in that email does it speak about the fictitious monthly subscription. I have the emails and screenshots to prove what I am saying.Initial Complaint

I was charged $37.57 in April 30th and May 30th for a VIP Membership subscription that I did not authorize. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! They trick you to buy the item for $6.95 but neglects to tell you that you are signing up for a VIP membership. The mention the membership at the bottom of the page which is after the submit button. So if you click submit before scrolling all the way to the bottom you will not be aware of the $37.57 monthly membership charge.It appears after Yes! Send Me My Sock! option, so if a person clicks on that to proceed/complete the order without scrolling to the bottom of the page the person is completely unaware of the subscription. Consequently, individuals who do not scroll to the end of the page remain uninformed about the existence of the subscription. This practice is highly dishonest and extremely deceptive and clearly demonstrates their unscrupulous/unethical conduct to deceive the customer. They also state that ************************* sends an email to make us aware of the subscription. That is a flat out LIE!! I never received an email from him regarding the subscription but continue to send me marketing emails to buy something else. I ordered a kneed brace that advertised to pay shipping only for $6.95 on April 21, 2023 and I received the brace about 3 weeks later. On June 5, 2023, the company charged my credit card $37.57. I did not authorize this charge and nothing on the website said I was signing up for a membership or monthly charges. I ordered a knee compression brace from backsocksleeve.com. I checked my bank account and noticed that an additional ***** was also taken out. I did not approve anything for ***** I have emailed the company and have not received a response. I noticed that other people have had this same issue. I also told them I would be contacting the attorney General if I do not get a response back asap. If you could help me at all or direct me to someone that could help I would appreciate it so much! On 5-22-23 I ordered a "no cost- pay shipping only" compression sock. I did agree to be "contacted for marketing and customer review of product" I did NOT agree to any further purchases or subscription service. They attempted to charge my debit card on 6-2-23 for *****. My bank declined the purchase but now I will have to update all my auto payments to reflect the new I formation because obviously BACKSOCKSLEEVE.COM is not worthy to be trusted with my card information.Initial Complaint
