My wife made an online order for a pair of compression socks from Back Solution Store in October, 2022. The offer was listed for a price of $6.95 to cover Shipping and Handling. We have been charged $24.97 every month thereafter, on our MasterCard ending in ********* for a total of $131.80. I am seeking a refund for the 5-months of charges, a termination of these charges, with an explanation of these actions from said company. There is no account/order number listed on our credit card bill, simply "BackSockSleeve" along with the company telephone number, which is listed on their web site, and on this page. I have called a number of times, left messages, yet have not received any communication from Back Solution Store. I saw an ad for a free knee brace and was asked to pay $6.95 for s&h. I got the confirmation for my order and received the product a week later. Two weeks after I placed my order I saw a charge on my bank card for $37.57 from backsocksleeve.com. I called and was told that my 14 day free subscription was up and I was sent an email at which time was supposed to be a reminder that I could cancel. I cancelled on that phone call and requested a refund. Was told it would take 3-5 business days for "upper management" to make that decision. I saw the email reminder to cancel and it was sent RIGHT after an email confirming my cancellation request. Now almost 2 weeks later, I have heard nothing, so I called again. Was told that upper management sent me an email so I asked what date so I could check while on the phone. No email had been received, not even in my spam box. I've had to file a fraud complaint and cancel my debit card, after having the same number for 20 years! I am furious, but I've learned my ****** to not order anything from the internet. Now I have to go to the bank to get a new debit card, because I'm going out of town this weekend!Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I have received a refund of the money that they took out of my bank via my debit/credit card in the amount of ***** which was the amount I was asking for help in getting returned. I had to file a fraud claim with my bank and get a new debit card issued. I had the older card for over 15 years and knew my card number by heart, but I don't believe that I would have gotten a refund if I had not filed a claim with the BBB and my bank. It taught me to check the reviews of any company that I am going to purchase anything from online before doing business with them. Thank you for your help.

I applied to receive a free knee brace according to a free promo commercial in February 2023 by paying only for shipping of $6.95. There was no such agreement as to purchase the item in no such way. It stated on the email order receipt free of charge for the knee brace. It did not mention I had to cancel by a certain date or my account will be charged. I did not agree to have my account CHARGED FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN SHIPPING. PLEASE HELP ME STOP THEM FROM TRYING TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT AGAIN. 03/23/2023. My paypal account was deducted $6.95 for a product I didn't know existed, did not look at an ad and certainly did not order. I contacted PayPal immediately and they replied it was on hold and they wouldn't refund this type of fraudulent purchase. I understand that it is a very minute amount of money, but when I receive only $287 a month from social security, it is a big amount. When I ****** the company, there a lot of similar complaints. Back Sock Sleeve (aka: Back Solutions) advertises a compression sock sleeve FREE, all the consumer pays is S&H. It is VERY misleading. WAY down on the webpage (well below the form section, which most consumers miss, myself included), it states that after 14 days you will be signed up for their monthly membership at a cost of $24.97/month. I ordered my free sleeve on or about 3/7/23. On 3/21/23, my card was charged for $37.57!!!!!! That is NOT what the "membership" fee is advertised as being! I immediately called to cancel my membership and to request a refund of this ridiculous overcharge. I have now received an email confirming cancellation of my membership and it states: "I have canceled your membership so you will not receive anymore specials or discount codes. You were sent a reminder email from our Marketing Director, *************************, before your trial ended and you made your first payment so you could go in and cancel it yourself or just ask us to do it for you." I did NOT receive an email. Nor do I recall getting a notification about a "membership" or discount deals offered to their "members".Initial Complaint

On 3/9/2023 I saw an add on Instagram and responded to buy 1 pair of compression socks for @ $7.00. While checking out they attempted to sell me approximately 15 more items. I would have cancelled the whole transaction but they already had my card info. I declined to buy additional (add on) items. My card was charged and I received the socks. Everything was fine. However, on 3/22/2023 they attempted to charge my card again, this time for $37.57. Thankfully my bank alerted me to suspected fraud. It resulted in permanently blocking my account from this business and necessitated the cancelling of my card.
