We were on our way to home on a long drive and decided to stay at a hotel near by. Googled the hotel location/name and the results came with a link to reserve the hotel at 140/night. Clicking on the web-site led me believe that it is being hosted by IHG (Holiday Inn Express). All throughout the advertised rate was 140 and finally after check-out is where the price of 204 comes up. I went to the hotel and checked at their front desk, and the nightly rate was 110 including taxes (almost double of what they charged me). Calling the number, they provided me a 20 dollars return. These kind of business's just are predatory and fraud consumers. They should be held liable for the mal practices.

Clone sites, misrepresentation. Likely scamming. Thought I was on the actual hotel site. Offered excellent prices on rooms, but put a 60% markup in taxes and fees which I discovered only after I got the receipt. Only after the receipt did I also discover it was a third party reservation site. Living in Canada, using Canadian Internet, reserving a Canadian hotel - the $s were in US dollars, but not listed as such. My CC company refunded and investigated.

This website is misleading and will charge you hundreds of dollars in service fees on top of the quoted room reservation fee. They will you charge that same amount to try and cancel the reservation. The website is misleading because they work the name of the hotel into the web address so you think you're going to the official hotel site. No customer service phone number connects you to a person.

Scam Alert. I've lost $418 because of Guest Reservations. Here's my story.

When I was booking my hotel rooms, I thought I was going through the hotel's official website. But instead, the booking went through an outfit named Guest Reservations.

I was unaware that (1) the price for the room would be booked immediately to my credit card, (2) the price was non-refundable, and (3) an additional $118 tax & service fee would be added to overall price, above and beyond the quoted $300 price of the room for two nights. All I wanted to do was make a reservation.

So, when the reservation confirmation arrived in my email - and seeing that $118 surcharge for the very first time - I called Guest Reservation and cancelled the deal. But to my surprise, the operator then told me I would not get my money back.

So after making phone calls to the hotel and my credit card company, I called Guest Reservations back again and asked if they could switch my reservation back from "cancelled" to "confirmed". The operator said no, this would not be possible. Knowing quite a bit about computer systems, I find this impossible to believe.

Looking for another alternative, I called back to the hotel once again and asked if they could honor the reservation, even though I had cancelled it through Guest Reservations. After all, I had already paid for it and most likely the hotel would get the money anyway. The hotel people said they cannot do it.

I've exhausted all avenues to get my money back. My only alternative will be to enter a dispute through my credit card company, but I don't have much hope.

Made a reservation for two nights in an hotel in Istanbul. I got the email confirmation for a different month. Call them back immediately to either cancel or change my reservation to the correct dates. The y said they could not change it and tried to sell me another reservation without cancelling it. After many calls they charged me like 70% of the cost in cancellation fees. I will dispute the chartes with Capital One and see what happens. I thought I was dealing directly with the Hotel, and realized too late it was an agency, not the hotel reservation.

Scam! I tried to book three rooms in Los Angeles at a Hilton and was redirected to this scam site. The rooms were $201 each and when I received my confirmation, the total charges were $2,470! $1,800 in service fees is a joke. I called the number listed on Guest Reservations and spent 40 minutes with a useless service agent who offered me discounts ranging from 10% to 50%.

This site and business is a SCAM. I have called my credit card company and will stop the payment, but this company is likely criminally negligent for imposing such absurd fees. DO NOT EVER USE GUEST RESERVATIONS!!!

I was redirected to Guest Reservations website when booking a hotel without realizing I wasn't booking on the hotel website. I noticed an error I had made (booked the wrong dates) right after booking and called them within 5 minutes to cancel or fix the dates. They said they couldn't fix the error and couldn't cancel the reservation. Instead, they offered me a 10% discount on the $1200 booking (of that, nearly $400 was a fee that GuestReservations had charged).

When I called the hotel, the hotel said my reservation was made through Priceline. GuestReservations isn't even making the bookings themselves, they're going through another company. GuestReservations is using predatory practices to scam customers.

When booking our hotel resort reservation online, I believe we were redirected to Guest Reservations and were unaware that we were not booking directly through the hotel. Guest Reservations lured us in with low rates then charged an exorbitant amount of fees. (Room was $195 per night, charges were $108 plus a hidden resort fee of $13.43 per night.) The hotel policy is no charge for cancellation with 24 hours notice, however, Guest Reservations' confirmation email states that there are no refunds. Upon calling the hotel, they assured me that they have no problem canceling for zero fee, but the third party would have to refund our credit card. I called Guest Reservations multiple times before finding the magic words/prompt to be connected to a representative. I was put on hold for 40 minutes while they "verified" with the hotel before they ultimately disconnected. The second rep was very rude and said they could cancel- then get verification, but could not guarantee our refund. So. We potentially lose our reservation AND over $300? This company is scamming and taking advantage of customers.
