1 starHave been with Boost Mobile since 2016. Unfortunately my employer had the repeaters removed that support Boost mobile so I need to switch to a ******* supported carrier. My phone is fully paid off and is over two years old. I have had them put in 4 tickets on unlocking the sim so I can use a ******* Carrier Sim. The phone is completely compatible and meets all conditions to be unlocked. However for two weeks now I have gotten the run around. Now I am told it will take 48 more hours to unlock. I am done with this company forever after this. I was going to go back to them eventually when my employer upgrades new repeaters in **** but I will not be going back ever now and if the phone isnt unlocked by the 232rd I will have to report them to the **** This is simply the worst business practice.Review fromJulie W

1 starSneaky sales tactics and unforgiving return policy Today I walked in asking for the deal I saw online $199 for an IPhone 12. I accidentally said the deal online $199 for an IPhone 11. I have came into this store in the past and was honored online deals in store. Right away he got phone cases and a screen protector. I told him I didnt want them. He said that in order to get the phones for $199 each, I needed to buy these things and that they are virtually free. Then I noticed he had phone chargers. I said I didnt want them. Again, he said they were included in this promotion and they were virtually free.I get home after all of this and my husband notices that we have iPhone 11s and not 12s. I was so confused. I reviewed the receipts and I was charged $105 for accessories and that an upgrade was used for my sons phone. Then I realized, why would I need to buy accessories in order to use my sons upgrade? I called up there right away and he told me they cant be exchanged and I would have to pay $260 to get the 2 IPhone 12s, and I could not get a refund on the accessories.Online I could have gotten two IPhone 12s for around $498 including activation fees and taxes.Today I paid more for two older phones, two Iphone 11s for $522.33 including activation fees and taxes.I was told that if I wanted to buy just a phone, he would have told me to just buy it online like he has to other customers because they make their money off of accessories, not the phones. So I asked him why he didnt advise me to do that when I told him I only wanted the phones He didnt have a valid response He gave my husband and I the owners number. We called the owner. He said the same things. He did say we could pay $200 more, instead of $260 more, to exchange for the IPhone 12s.At this point we already paid more for IPhone 11s than IPhone 12s. Wed be paying $244 more on top of already overpaying for IPhone 12s in store than what we could have purchased them for in store.Review fromdr c c

1 starMy provider was recently bought out by Boost Infinite. I needed to have my *** card replaced. I called on 12/5 to get a replacement and was told it would be delivered to me in 2 business days. It took 6 business days to get to me. I was told all I need to do is insert the card and it should work. I did, and it did not work. I had called to inquire about this and for a while the guy on the phone couldn't get an answer as to what the problem was, saying "no one seems to want to help." Eventually, they said that it is some IT problem on their end. For about 3 weeks after that I had not received any word of a solution. I was emailed about this issue and was told that they have their best team working on the issue. I had inquired to speak with a supervisor, and that I should be credited for my inconvenience, but my emails went ignored. I had called again and I was told the issue was that the *** that they sent me is not compatible with their service, which doesn't make sense. I had asked to be credited back the month of service they charged me for that I didn't have service, and also for a month of service for a burner phone I had to buy because my phone is not working with them. I had forgotten to ask to be credited for the cost of the phone itself, so I asked today and they told me they are not responsible for that, but they are. I wouldn't have had to buy this phone in the first place if their *** cards worked. Last week I had called again to inquire on the status of the problem and the story changed yet again. They said the reason was that the *** was defective, and apparently they had a ticket that said I should be sent a new *** card that has been sitting around not followed up for almost a month. Again, they told me it would get to me in 2 business days, but this time it took 5 instead of 6, and guess what, it doesn't work. Horrible customer service, no one knows the answer to any questions, unprofessional, and they don't seem to take things seriously.Review fromJohn D

1 starI have been with Boost Mobile for several years. Went through all their growing pains, the Sprint sell off to Dish, etc. Have had the same plan. It's always been hard to actually get someone that either you or they can understand each other. Their customer service is off shore. I've had a few issues, but they were resolved. One thing that sets them apart is their unlocking of phones policy. The handset remains LOCKED for ONE YEAR, at which time you can contact them and ask them to unlock it for you. This is 6 months more and 9 months more than most every other carrier. They are getting this rating because they migrated their computer system last year. With that migration, they changed people's plans without any notification. When I figured that out, I called them and spoke to a supervisor who basically said - so sorry so sad - cannot help you with that one - the plan you are on is the plan. I have always had unlimited with 30GB of hot spot. They cut me down to 12. VERY UNFAIR. DO NOT USE BOOST MOBILE. THEY ARE NOT A COMPANY THAT REWARDS THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR LOYALTY.Review fromDestinyy W

1 starI followed all the requirements and activated my account, but I was unable to use my data or even make outgoing calls. I placed two calls to customer service, and an ****** person responded each times. They transferred me around and offered me troubleshooting tips, but nothing resolved the problem. I informed them that I wanted to cancel my service, and they said okay. I inquired about a refund for the balance of my service. I paid for 30 days, but because the service was so bad, I only used 2 days. The representative informed me that there would be no refunds! That is not how you serve customers; it is harsh.Review fromNatasha W

1 starI had Boost for over a year. I decided to switch services because they're terrible. They gave me and the customer service rep at my new service provider a hard time with porting out my numbers because they wanted me to stay with them. After successfully canceling service they proceeded to charge me $80 the next day and absolutely refuse to refund my money. They told me to dispute the charge with my financial institution. I would never recommend Boost.Review fromAnthony J

1 starI've had the service for 7yrs. I decided to change carriers and forgot about the automatic payment for billing I set up with them. The moment I received notification of the payment, I called to cancel service and get a refundable. They would not give a refundable and told me to dispute it with my back, but I have access to their network. I do not. The phone is no longer on that service and the number the verification code is Sent to is inaccessible. Once I told the initial rep that Id like to cancel he offered low price options but no refund. This is saddening to know of the theiving behavior of corporations like Boost Mobile. I would not recommend their services to anyone to have their money stolen from a company you have paid consistently for 7yrs. Dispicable behavior and poor customer consideration once they found out I would no longer be apart of their flock.....DO NOT TRUST BOOST MOBILE!!!!Review fromEvelyn B

1 starThey been stealing money from me since November of 23 ! I was leasing my iPhone and my time was up I was still paying on the phone until I brought it to their attention! I paid 3 payments over they only refunded two of my payments & telling me that the other payment didnt come on out my account when it clearly did! I purchased a phone for my daughter in November paid her bill the phone hasnt worked since the 18 of November with **** paid for that month and the month of December! Speaking to the supervisor he refused my refund or even credited to my account because he stated the phone had been restored and it had not! My data only last on my phone 4 days on an unlimited plan of 40gb !! They said all my data was depleated knowing I wasnt using any data they told me to call apple care! And I did apple said nothing is wrong with my device to contact the provider ! The apple rep ran 4 test and nothing was wrong on my end and all my data was off! I purchased a data pack of two gbs they told me they was depleted within a second !! There is no way I never ever received it and they refuse to refund my money this has happened several times ! I am out of almost 100 dollars due to their home concern and saying they will investigate and do nothing !! Im on the phone with them now and they arent trying to help! No care for customers ! Ive been with this company a very long time ! And this is stealing and poor customer service! I want my money back! I wouldnt even give them a star!! But I have too they have stolen from me again and refusing to refund my money !!Review fromWilliam C

1 starBeen a customer for 11+ years. Its always been a headache but now even more so. Their data plan is a f****** joke. I have to continuously buy extra data just to use an app on the phone as I travel and need the map. Im sure thats their whole plan. ****** and dime people to death. So Im away from home with no data. I had bought a 2gb pack of data a day before and the Boost Mobile App told me it was gone. So Im stuck in an area with no communication through texts or voice, and no way to access the internet. Eventually, I manage to connect with free WiFi at a local business and I finally get Boost on the phone. I STILL do not understand this, but apparently once you buy data, they cant sell it to you again unless you call them. Never mind the fact that they restrict your data to the point where you cant use any of your apps including theirs.I spoke with several people talking from the same "I understand that must be frustrating" script and they kept wanting to sell me on monthly reoccurring data plans costing extra money every month.I was unable to continue to my destination so I returned home. I was unable to reach Boost throughout the evening. The next day I spoke with about 8 different Boost Mobile agents before I found out that there were FOUR Boost Mobile towers down in the area and that they dont have an estimated time of repairs. I asked to speak to a supervisor and went through another 6 agents before I reached a supervisor who put me on hold and then hung up on me. Three supervisors later I got to *****, who I was kind enough to listen to my diatribe. I basically told him the following: Im leaving Boost Mobile after 11+ years, and Im doing it because it took me 8 agents to find out the problem was with 4 towers that went down. There is no outage information available on the website or the app. So I bet Im not the first one wondering why their phone isnt working and after 11 years I require more respect to the customer than that.
