I was billed twice, the first time for the package and then for some premium additions that are not disclosed on an invoice. I never received one and when I did it said Hello Fresh on the top!!!When you choose your meals upon the package purchase it does show you how much more do you have to pay on top of what they have charged you if you select a different dish. I did not receive an invoice or confirmation before clicking. I realized the additional charge because it was on my credit card. I called to revert changes or subspend the shipment but they did not let me dispite ordering the night prior. This is clearly a trap since they are not fully disclosing the charges and they billed you in two separate transactions and make it sound like is a new order which is not. I decided to cancel my account since I am afraid they will keep inventing charges.Business Response

Date of transaction: 5/8/2023 Amount paid: $130.89 Order number: ********* I was trying to cancel or even just reschedule a meal box from Green Chef. After contacting customer support they told me they CANNOT cancel this order becuase it is 1 day past the 5 day window for editing an order. I have reached out to their customer service with this exact same thing before and they have happily canceled/rescheduled so I'm not sure why they won't this time. I am going to be away from home and unable to recive this order all the food in this order they are adamant can't be cancled is just going to go to waste. After this interaction with theit customer support I would like to completely cancel this order and recive a refundBusiness Response

In the past, I have asked GreenChef to cancel my account. They confirmed they did, yet I kept getting charged for orders. I had also asked to be followed up with by a supervisor about my experience, and no one ever reached out. I decided to give them a second try. However, I recently moved and they charged me for a box to my former address. They offered no redress other than an account credit because it was "past their order deadline." I want to report them to BBB because it sounds like they have some dodgy business practices when handling customers and complaints. Either by "confirming" they took an action on the account, not responding to customers, or not offering refunds or flexibility when life happens to customers. My transaction that I contacted them about (unable to take delivery of a box due to selling my house) was $90 on 5/6.Business Response

I signed up for green chef on the 30th of April. I checked that I wanted vegetarian options. I also tried to get a delivery for when I would be back from vacation the 9 th of May. They only had meat options at that time and they would not schedule for later in the month so I immediately cancelled on April 30th. Now on May 6th I received an email that my box is on its way. I just called customer service to get this straightened out and they could not do anything or provide a refund. I asked for a manager or supervisor and they said that they were only available at 12 noon in word I dont know what that meant.Business Response

I purchased a trial box of green chef and requested to cancel the rest to which they did not do, continued to charge my card even though I reached out 7 days before. Upon calling them requesting a refund they deny refund and speaking To a supervisor even though I requested one multiple times. They said a supervisor has to call me back.Business Response

When I made the initial purchase I was billed ***** and was later billed an additional *****. I called to cancel. When the order arrived I gave it back to the driver. The next morning the box was back on my front porch the driver had come back in the night and left it on my porch. I called GreenChef and explained ** made a dispute and they said the bank will make the adjustment in my favor and just keep the box. The dispute is complete and Im still being billed for the full amount. Its not my fault as a consumer there system didnt not bill me correctly at the initial transaction. I had been wanting to see if it was worth it to sign up for a home delivery meal system and decided to check out Green Chef. Unfortunately, they do not allow you to view the menu's without activating an account and putting in your credit card information, which I did. It took me less than 10 minutes to see that it was not the kind of menu that I would like so I cancelled it. Which is relatively easy and got a confirmation email. I did notice that in the email it said the last shipment would be 4/20 but thought it was a stock statement and not pertinent as there was never a FIRST shipment. In the email, there is no statement that canceling required any further action. I didn't realize until a few days later when it said my shipment had been sent that "cancelling" hadn't canceled the shipment. I had to dig through the FAQ's to find the spot that had a number to call if you wanted to cancel the shipment As it was too late to cancel that shipment, it did come. The box had leaked through on the corners and broken open at the bottom. One of the chicken pouches was warm but the rest was still very cold.Business Response

I cancelled my account on the website and then was still charged $114.91. I let this go and assumed I had made a mistake. So I emailed customer service to verify that my account was cancelled. They responded and verified that I had successfully cancelled my account on 4/15. Then on 4/18, I was charged an additional $41.52 for an order I didnt place. Thankfully this charge did not go through. I went on to verify that my account was deactivated and in doing so, found that it was not. I keep trying to deactivate my account, but it keeps saying that I have already paid for an order. I would like a refund for the amount paid and for my account to be deleted entirely from the Green Chef database as it appears that deactivating does not stop the charges.Business Response

4/12@1:35PM I registered at GreenChef. Providing payment and delivery address info prior to viewing the menu was required. Their initial welcome e-mail said I had to make changes to an order by 4/10 for a 4/17 delivery, which was impossible given the sign up date. This email did not include any confirmation of any meals or even any dietary preference. 4/12@1:40PM I viewed the menu and immediately returned to their website to cancel. I didnt like the menu and there was no way of modifying anything for allergies. I cancelled within 5 minutes of registering. I never confirmed any meals and never received any confirmation of meals. 4/14@5:55PM I saw a $91.93 charge on my CC from GC. I called GC and was told that I had to make any changes 5 days prior to the delivery date (contrary to their welcome e-mail). We agreed that date was 4/12. We agreed I had cancelled 5 minutes after registering on 4/12 and that I had in not selected any meals or a delivery date. She said she would have document my issue and ask a supervisor to make any adjustments. She put me hold to speak to her supervisor and hung up on me 4 minutes later. 4/14@6:05PM I called back and spoke with a ******. After explaining the situation again, ****** spoke with a supervisor and offered me a 50% discount since the order was already in the system. He would not let me speak with the supervisor, could not tell me the meals that were in my order and could not give me tracking information because my order had not been processed yet. I was told a supervisor would call me back in 24 hours (even over the weekend). I never received confirmation my order, my meals, or my shipment. 4/15 No call back. 4/16 No call back. 4/17 No call back, but I got a shipment confirmation and a delivery an hour later of meals that I had not selected. Due to severe allergies, two entire meals cannot be eaten or even prepared in my home. The last meal contains many ingredients that we do not like and would not choose.Business Response
