      The food and recipes were good - we were primarily following vegetarian and gluten free meals. We also only needed meals for a short time due to a busy schedule, so cancelled after a couple months. **************** was easy to reach but gave me incorrect and contradictory information. After a mix up with an order I had called to explain it and request a refund. I was told (in writing) my account had been successfully deactivated and that I would be receiving a refund in 5-10 business days. I did not. I called after about 3 weeks and spoke to a different rep who said that refund had not been processed but that he can process it and I would get an email confirmation within 24 hours. I did not. I called again and was told that I would not be getting a refund but a credit instead and that the two other agents were incorrect. After some back and forth, the agent issued a refund for a different amount than previously stated by the other two agents. I did wait on the phone while she sent an email confirmation. In short, good food and quality ingredients, but very difficult to remedy a problem if you have one - the customer service reps did not follow through, gave poor and conflicting information, and I had to repeat the entire situation each time I called (which was many).

      Food is good when you can actually choose your meals. I have had many many many issues over the last 4 weeks where I cannot login from a browser or their app. Then I get whatever they have left over that no one else wants and neither do I. So I got the privilege of paying for garbage that they would have had to throw away. The last group of meals I got, I had to throw one out because it was moldy after two days.Avoid.

      Green Chef was a huge disappointment. Not because their food wasnt delicious or even because its costly. The disappointment is with their abysmal customer service. After i subscribed and received the initial discount, they constantly sent promotions about rewards but i never received anything explaining how to claim these rewards. The app is very confusing and provides little useful information aside from meals to pick. I contacted online agents a number of times regarding rewards and also to alert them to missing a damaged items. They would assure me refunds would be coming but they never materialized. Additionally, when I called and spoke to a number of agents on the phone they would assure me they would handle the problems but nothing was ever resolved. It seems all concerns, questions and complaints fall into a black hole! Ive just cancelled my account and received an account suspended but it remains to be seen if it actually happens since I have absolutely no confidence in this company. My advice is to find a different meal kit company.

      I have been with Green Chef for a while. I find them to have the same meals over and over again. Even though you fill out the reviews thinking that will change what you receive it does not. I just hung up with customer service and he did not hide the fact that my call, nor my response online will not issue any changes to the automatic choices of meals sent to me. The representative of Green ********* that they do not care about me personally as it is all computer generated and he cannot change that decision. Wow, that was quite the shock. I guess customer service is dead with ******************** Chef.

      Food is great but they have terrible customer service. You always get someone in a different country. When you try to escalate to a supervisor, you get disconnected or get someone that's even HARDER to understand. So frustrating I cancelled.

      The beef tenderloin package leaked all over the box and the box was damaged from the leak. I called Green Chef to let them know. I was advised not to eat the beef. I figured as much. However they could only refund me $9.60 which was the beef only rather than the full meal because those ingredients, even though worthless now, were wrapped separately. I cancelled my subscription so now they lose $100 a week in business from me. Terrible business practice.

      The meal kits are consistently delivered late. *** can't seem to deliver them on time and therefore, you can't plan any meals on the delivery day. This is so frustrating as the purpose of ordering from them is to make it easier to get meals on the table at dinner time. Don't order from them unless you like eating at 10pm. Think I'll go with another company who can deliver on time.

      Beware many complaints trick you to continue charging card for next order then claims they cant change it even well before order has been prepared

      I was curious about the product and in order to see the menu I had to enter payment information. I decided after looking at the offerings not to follow through with the order. They charged my card anyway. I call within 24 hours of my card being charged and they refused to cancel the shipment and refund my money. Avoid this business!

      I have had a terrible experience with Green Chef. I went to sign up with a discount code and discovered I already had an account from years ago. Somehow they ended up setting up two accounts or subscriptions although I could only see the one in the link on my PC. I received a box at the sales price but it was a week early and not the meals I had selected. I was then billed again on Christmas morning but billed the full price of $91 even though I had entered "skip" on the website. I called them and they said I had two subscriptions and the second one was not at the sale price - unbelievable! They couldn't stop the meal box because it was less than 5 days from the delivery date. I have now canceled "both" subscriptions though I never set up a second one. I had to contact Pay Pal to be sure they don't erroneously charge me again! A supervisor was supposed to contact me within 24 hours of my first call and that hasn't happened.
