    I have received two boxes from Green Chef and both arrived after 5 days of being packaged for delivery. The meats were warm and some of the vegetables were beginning to spoil, especially the spinach. I contacted the company after the first shipment and they said they would refund my money and make sure it was received sooner. They also assured me it was guaranteed for freshness 48 hours after receipt! There is no way it is fresh after that long and even if so, we had three meals and would have to make them in 2 days for "freshness". Their shrimp supplier had the good sense to put their product in their own packaging so it was still okay but we had to throw out 4 of the 6 meals and one I had to buy the meat for. I contacted them again after the second shipment and asked to talk to someone in the states, not ****, and they said they would send it on to the company. Still no reply. It is in ****************, for ****** sake, so not that difficult to talk to someone from ******! I am surprised someone hasn't gotten food poisoning! If I don't hear from them in the next 48 hours, I am going to file a formal complaint with the BBB and local health departments in ******** and ******. Maybe then, they will contact me!

    This was my first time using Green Chef. I went through green chefs ***** verification and was given an offer that reads as such "Thank you for doing what you do! To show our appreciation, we're offering 70% off your order with Green Chef for one year plus 15% off ongoing boxes"...obviously with that promo i was offered, i signed up for their delivery service. Since signing up, I notice my account not reflecting the promo i was offered (I have a screen shot as proof of this Promo!). i have been given the run around from 4 people at Green Chef now and they have voiced that it's ME not reading the promo correctly when that is clearly not the case. They are absolutely refusing to honor the promo I received making this feel very MISLEADING and using bait and switch type tactics to get people to sign up for an auto billed service.

    Like many others, I made the mistake of only looking at their website and then left without ordering anything. They ask for you to sign in and give them your information (in order to see the full menus) without any warning that you are immediately on the hook for hundreds of dollars in unwanted shipments that THEY select. They do not answer their phone (understandably). I have demanded a refund and told them I am taking this garbage to a city food bank--if they will even accept it.

    This is a total scam beware. They offer you a discounted rate than once you sign up they charge you full amount. When I tried to cancel the refuse to refund my money and end up sending me food that I had to throw in the trash. I dont need pork or farm raised tilapia. They should not be allowed to stay in business.

    I loved the meals - so tasty! Sadly the delivery company they used (Veho) was completely incompetent and could almost never get my boxes to me. I had to cancel. If they ever decide to use a professional delivery service like Fed Ex or **** which we get deliveries from all the time with no issues, we will be back. Just posting this here so others can be aware. Delicious food needs to get to you to be useful.

    I just received five meals from you and I never ordered them. I don't eat pork and I don't eat cheese. Where can I donate these meals? All I did was go on your website and picked a few meals but I would never pick anything with cheese or pork. *** I didn't order. I used to be a customer I did a dumb thing and used a coupon code to Reactivate my account NOT reactivate my orders. I didn't even pick these meals. I picked like two and I was just browsing. How do you even have my credit card it's not the same card I had when I was your customer. The FOOD was HORRIBLE 4 years ago and I will be throwing all this AWAY!! Reporting Fraud to my bank NOW. How you used a EXPIRED Credit Card is beyond me!!! I cancelled my account, with SOME GUY in ***** by the way they used to be in ********, NOPE not anymore its *****. Refund my money, I asked them to remove my email, phone, credit card and more!!!!!!!!

    First of All you tricked thousands of people like me who used to be your customer into resubscribing without know that they have actually turned that on is highly visible on ****** Reviews and ******** comments. None of us resubscribed especially not me. If I had ordered your meal service again, which I didn't I would not do so without telling my husband, he does all the shopping and cooking. He would not have approved he has nightmares of missing recipes and missing ingredients with your service. The food I never ordered or picked was horrible. You fondue Fillet was ************ peppers dipped in four kinds of melted cheese and filet mignon dipped in cheese. It was horrible.. The hamburger is was missing the other meat, and didn't come with a recipe so I made the hamburger for my dog Rocky 80% fat really we would never buy that. My dog was violently ill after two servings he threw up and had black p*** and diarrhea for days. It was so bad I had to clean his rear end several times and it was quite a nightmare he was lethargic and would not eat for two days.. The only decent dish was the pesto chicken. I don't eat pork and my husband threw that away. We paid $150 and didn't even order this or resubscribe. I will continue to warn other until you refund all my money. I will happily pay for the chicken pesto dish even though I didn't order it. I am disgusted with your trickery and deception. You mail me a post card I used QR code and just want to look at your menu because we did enjoy your meals a very long time ago before things changed with missing ingredients and missing instructions. Take me off your mailing list and out of your data base.

    Scam. We sent out boxes to our friends, as they advertised free boxes for $50 credit each. They will not allow us to use our credits. We have called 4 times and keep getting told they will fix the issue but never do. Now after reading these reviews we are afraid our friends will be scammed too. We are cancelling immediately. Horrible business. ******** customer service. Mediocre food at best. Found a smashed, soggy big in our ingredients last week, they did not even ship our box this week...Not worth the hassle. They are liars and cheats.

    Total fraud and deceptive practice! Two weeks in a row after I canceled /the skipped the weeks in the subscription my credit card was charged anyway and I was sent boxes I did not approve or order. This is a common occurrence as I see here and my experience confirms its ongoing. After multiple attempts to rectify with the customer service I was denied resolution and continually told that I did not in fact ever cancel. Lies. Fraud. Also, the food quality was terrible and my husband hated it so no big loss. Going back to beloved Blue Apron which has excellent customer service and always bent over backwards to resolve any problems.

    I was refunded after multiple attempts but company continues to accuse me of not canceling the order as if its my fault. Thats calling me a liar and not appreciated. There sure are a lot of liars out there with the same exact problem then, if you read their reviews. I hope they change their processes to actually do what the customer says when they skip, pause or cancel auto orders. If you are going to be an online format business then make it work. Blue Apron never has that problem. You skip a week, bam, its done.

    This company uses predatory practices and charges. The food is OK, but not good enough to deal with terrible customer service and a meal plan that wont stop sending you food and charging you for it once youve canceled.

    I just had a very bad experience with Green Chef. Cancelling a subscription is not seamless and I had to repeatedly call and go online to deactivate my subscription month after month. I will not use a service that makes it hard to cancel. I recommend that they review their subscription services cancellation process and tech. I do not recommend this meal service.
