1 starHorrendous costumer service and shady business practices. Once you sign up the company youre automatically enrolled to purchase a box every week and Green Chef will only email you to confirm if you choose to skip a week of meals. If you dont log into the app regularly to select meals or skip a week you will be charged for a week you didnt chose to skip and they do not email you to remind you or to confirm your order. Youll receive a box of random meals you did not select. If you do purchase a box (on purpose or inadvertently) the only email youll receive is that the box is out for delivery and its too late to cancel.Green Chef Corporation

1 starGreen Chef does a BAIT AND SWITCH. On 10/25/24, I subscribed to Green Chef (an affiliate of Hello Fresh) using the First Responder promotional. Based on my selection, the promotion was 70% off plus free shipping for 52 weeks, amounting to $50 per week. I set up the account, and my account stated 65% off plus free shipping for 52 weeks to expire on 11/9/2025 (my first delivery was scheduled for 11/9/2024). I have proof of this. I received the first delivery on 11/9/2024, as expected. On 11/12/2024, I was charged $133, representing their NEW promotion of 65% off the first delivery, then 15% off subsequent deliveries for 52 weeks. I called customer service and spoke to three people (including a supervisor). They offered me a refund for the $133 and told me to close my account because they were NOT going to HONOR the original promotional offer on 10/25/***** summary, on 10/25/2024, I subscribed and agreed to pay $50 per week for 52 weeks, then Green Chef/Hello Fresh did a bait and switch to pay $133 per week for 52 weeks.Green Chef Corporation

1 starI was exploring multiple meal delivery companies. Apparently all of them require a credit card to even look at what youd be getting involved with. But all of them, including Green Chef, have a ton a flexibility. It literally states on their website that you can cancel at any time. So i signed up for a Monday delivery and the website said I wouldnt be charged until Thursday. I canceled my subscription within an hour of starting it. I found a different meal kit company that I liked better. Yet, I was charged on Thursday for a meal kit. When I called customer service, they used phrases like I apologize for your confusion. I wasnt confused. I had an email confirming my cancelation date. The *** said that charges happen the moment you activate your account which is the exact opposite of what their website says.Green Chef Corporation

1 starI was getting meals from them and they werent fresh sometimes and would also be missing quite a bit at times. I went to skip weeks and never received a confirmation email and was charged after I had already skipped. I had been skipping because my Kitchen flooded and had to be gutted. I was unable to ***** the meals at this time. I explained this to an associate and then asked for a supervisor by the name of **** She was not helpful and was rather rude. She said it was my fault and I explained that I had the plan paused for the last month and have also paused out until November. She continued to fault me and give me a lecture. I offered to send her via email the proof I did pause the meals out. After the call she took it upon herself to just cancel my plan without my confirmation. I WILL NEVER use them again. After being on the phone with the supervisor almost 30 minutes I left the conversation feeling very strong that Green Chef just lost a loyal customer.Green Chef Corporation

1 starThis company has very questionable practices and ethics. Apparently if you simply log onto your account, mind you Ive never even ordered from them, it automatically renews your subscription, which then charges you. I was just looking to see what they offer and somehow it signed me up for a delivery and charge $115.91. I DID NOT even receive a confirmation email that I had placed an order, nor did anything on the site I was searching say an order had been placed, which is beyond disturbing. Had I received an email saying an order was placed, I would have canceled immediately. I also have never ordered from this company or given my credit card information. If you have to give credit card Information just to look at a menu, I never order from a company because its a terrible business practice. I talked to customer service and they said it was past the cancellation time. I escalated it to speak with a supervisor **. He informed that he would refund the charge and also gave me credit cause it was a promotional time. I said I dont want any credits from this company and I want my account deleted because I will never order from this company again. I asked him for a claim number and he said there is no inquiry number because the problem was solved, he also wouldnt give me his last name. Any company that tricks you into buying stuff simply by logging into your account is not worth your money. DO NOT order from this sketchy company with questionable morals and business practices. I still have no idea how they got my credit card info or why I never received a confirmation email.Green Chef Corporation

1 starI ordered and received a 50% discount, making 3 boxes for my first week. Only about $35. You ARE SUPPOSE TO received boxes on Sunday. You need to cancel, put on, hold or make any changes by Tuesday before I selected my 3 meals but wanted to try them before. I paid for a second order. My order should have come Sunday, then Monday, then Tuesday. So I froze ( put on hold) the next weeks order that Tuesday before because they never sent out my original order. Kept sending messages: The delivery was being held up. I finally received a message stating They would not send me anything. 1 starI had a membership and LOVE the dishes but I went on vacation so I put deliveries on hold. When I came home I had a package ruined with spoiled food. I called to report the mistake and was told "oh well". I still had to pay! Cancelled Membership after that. Bad business.Green Chef Corporation
