I canceled within minutes of checking into the service offered. I then get text messages and emails today stating order being delivered. I have no idea what is even being delivered because I canceled. I contacted customer service and they also show I canceled, but state because its a subscription service they have no ability to refund. I have canceled then order. I should have never received or been charged. I have contacted my bank to dispute.Business Response

Purchase 2 pair of pants from this company. The pants look NOTHING like the picture. They came all the way up to my calves!!! Item not as described thin not quality see through material. 3 weeks to arrive I paid for extra. VIP fast shipping. I want my money back.Business Response

I am a first time customer and was excited to receive my meals to cook for my family of 4. Upon receiving the box half of the ingredients are missing. I ordered and paid for 4 meals with 4 servings. I received 4 for with 2 servings. This amount of food will not feed my family of 4. I reached out to customer service for a resolution. I asked about having the other 2 servings sent to me over night, but unfortunately that was not within the scope of their business. I then asked for a refund since I did not receive what I ordered. Well their system doesn't allow for a refund. They could only give me a partial refund because they arent able to get a refund from the local supplier they order through and recommended that I make 2 meals each night to feed 4 people. And at that I would only have 2 nights of meals for my family and extra cooking involved instead of the 4 nights I ordered. I asked to speak to a manager and unfortunately their managers do not speak to customers. I spent over an hour chatting with customer service and I am completely appalled of how this business is ran. I am a long time hello fresh customer and I am aware both companies are owned under the same umbrella corporation. This now affects my opinion of hello fresh too. I will never give this company another chance and will be deactivating my hello fresh account as well. Good riddens to the poor customer service provided especially when the error was on their end.Business Response

My sister sent us a "free" box of Green Chef meals in order to try the service. In order to receive the box the website required my credit card information. My understanding was that it required this information to choose the meals, enter the site, and pay for shipment of the box. I was charged $10.99. I never checked any boxes or did anything on the website to indicate that I would like to sign up for a subscription plan. I was not sent any information to indicate that I had signed up, either. Then on 3/30/23 my credit card was charged $145 for a box of food that we did not order, do not want, and have not received yet. I called and spoke with ******** in customer service who explained that it has already been processed and there is no way to receieve a refund. She also said that her manager, ****, would be calling me within 1-2 hours and he never called. When I asked what ****'s last name was she said, "I cannot share that information with you". This whole process strikes me as very deceptive. Why have I been chardged for something I did not order and have not receieved? I can see from the other complaints on here and on the internet that I am not alone. I will never order from them, will continue to pursue a refund, and will alert others to beware of their deceptive business model.Business Response

ON March 25, 2023, I went to the Greenchef.com website per my daughter request, I went to the website to review and if I liked the plan then I would join, however, per the website you have to enter your method of payment prior to being able to view the meal options. I was really skeptical about entering my credit card information because I didn't know if I wanted to join the plan, the only way you can view the meal plan was to enter the payment option, they weren't anything stating that the payment would go through regardless, so I entered my information, viewed the meal options, determined that this wasn't the plan for me and cancelled and deactivated the account immediately after. However, $41.57 was withdrawn from my account on March 28, 2023. Here is the thing, the payment option should not be requested prior to the customer viewing the meal options, I feel like requesting payment information is scamming the customer by making them enter the payment information prior to viewing the meal options and deciding whether or not they want to purchase the plan. I called Greenchef @ ************ and spoke to ****, who placed me on hold for like half an hour and then the line was disconnected, hence the reason for this complaint. I never completed the order, and this company is scamming people by taking their money before they can view the meal plans, if you could view the meal plans first, and decide if you want to purchase it or not, then enter the payment method, the way they're doing it is fraudulent, I didn't place an order, I want my money back, I appreciate your assistance, thank you.Business Response

on 3/25/2023 I went onto Green Chef site to check it out. It demanded info in order to move forward and see the meal options. Once i get to the food i see it does not suit my needs and immediately cancel it all to ensure i dont get unwanted food or charges. Then boom my card is charged and I am told even though its been 6 minutes i cannot cancel and will be getting multiple boxes of food I never choose or wanted in the first place. **************** was rude and refused to help stating the computer doesn't allow them to refund people. So how does a computer run a business and the humans have no control? I think not.. This is a huge misleading scam and I am telling everyone I know to stay far away. I have continued to ask for a refund and they refuse. I told them anything they send me will be returned and I do not want it. I am writing to complain about the box I received from Green Chef. When I completed the initial purchase for my box delivered on March 25, 2023, I completed a questionnaire regarding preferences and received an email that my preferences had been saved on March 17th. I was charged for the box on March 21st and received the box on March 25th with three meals that ignored the preferences I had selected and were not the meals I selected to be delivered. My preferences are important because I am prediabetic and trying to reverse it. I reached out to customer service and was told the changes were for my second order not my first and that there was nothing they could do. I dont understand how meals can be sent out without regard to the questions that were answered and ignoring the meals selected prior to paying for the service. Why do you have the option to select meals and fill out questions if you dont send the meals selected prior to the payment date?Business Response

I received an email from Paypal on 3/25/2023 at 3:22 am that I sent payment of $121.60 to Green Chef Corporation. This is first time I was aware I was subscribed in the program. I immediately cancelled the billing agreement with this company through my PayPal account. (See emails) PayPal gave me option to contact Green Chef. No one was available on phone contact option, so I sent email to Green Chef at 3:42 am on 3/25 requesting the company refund my money and not to send their product. To my knowledge I had not subscribed to their food service; I was trying to look at their menu options to see if it was anything I would be interested in. I had previously received meals from them and they used previous billing info to process this current order. I logged into Green Chef site on 3/25 to cancel a subscription I was not aware I was receiving, but was unable to cancel order. On 3/25 at 3:46 am I received email from Green Chef claiming they do not have the option to cancel this delivery as it is past 5 days before delivery(3/24) I didnt even receive notice I was charged for a product from Green Chef until 3/25. (See email). I called Green Chef on 3/25 at 8:22am requesting cancellation and refund of this order as I did not want to sign up for service. GC rep reiterated it was too late to cancel order and get refund.Business Response

I purchased a box from Green Chef, delivered 3/07, with a promo 60% off. I skipped a delivery for the following week. Navigating to the delivery for 3/21, I was surprised to see that the box also indicated a 60% discount.My credit card was charged for the product with a 20% discount instead of a 60% discount. I now believe that the 60% off shown on the website was a pricing error - I am requesting that the pricing displayed on the website be honored. Otherwise, I am being charged an amount other than the agreed-upon price, which is a fraudulent charge.I phoned support on 3/19 to let them know of the error. They informed me that there was nothing that they could do.
