I have a Yahoo email address, and have been logged in through my Mail app. Yahoo logged me out, and told me I need to re-enter the password to confirm the account. I went through their sign-in helper, using my recovery phone number, and it said there was an "error." No matter what I do, even though I have a recovery phone number, I am not able to recover or reset my password without contacting their paid support. So they are holding my email account ******, essentially. There is no way to get in touch with a human support agent or access my free account, with my personal information and data, without paying money.Business Response

I was checking my Yahoo account as usual on September 3, 2025 but, I couldn't login to it. Continually it said my password was incorrect, so I tried to reset it, and then it kept saying Uh-oh... "we can't sign you in right now. Please try again in a while." Start over and visit our Help Site. Therefore, I tried this several times. Then I called Yahoo! customer care ***************), they later asked for a six digit number to talk to a live person. I talked to two different agents about having zero access to my emails. They asked for my email address, date of birth, and asked me to scan the front and back of my drivers licenses. Then after I did with both representatives the calls were dropped. I called back the third time and talked to another representative, we went through all the same questions the other representatives asked. She tried to scan my drivers license in and it wouldn't take it, she apologized and said she was going to note it in her data base and asked me to try back later. Now I am skeptical about trying to get help from Yahoo! customer care again, and am reaching out to see if this was a scam, and to see if Better Business Bureau(BBB) could please help me.Business Response
