I have been trying to get access to my email. I was abruptly signed out of my email and I dont have access to the emails listed to authenticate my email. They dont have a help option online for this and the only way to get help is to call number and pay for them to help you. Even with that I tried calling a few times and went through a robot service that hung up on me every single time.Business Response

I lost my phone and had to buy a new one.i used my Yahoo email on the phone and when I had to buy a new one it wouldn't allow me to login to my Yahoo without verifying my alternate email and push notifications on the phonethat I no longer have.i called and asked them to allow me access to my email but they are trying to charge me 13$.i shouldn't have to pay for access to my account when my password word was correct when I tried logging so it's not like did anything wrong I feel like I am being extorted in order to use my email which I have personal and business emails that I need to access to handle my affairs.i tried logging in through desktop as well and still have no access to email.i called the customer service number and verified my identification so they could allow access and stop 2step verification until I could put in a new phone number and email because the other email I have as a backup for them i no longer use and have no access to.i updated my phone number over the phone when I called ,because I can't receive txt msg over the house phone that I used to sign up with years ago.i just want access to my email without having to pay for *****'s not ********** there is no other way to go about the situation through email for someone in there company to fix my issue so there forcing me to pay for something I shouldn't have to.Business Response

Yahoo has logged me out my account and there is no way to get my access back. My email, password and number are all correct. After putting in my email and password, it then proceeded to asks for a verification code to which I never receive. I have tried all available methods (text message and WhatsApp). Whenever I try to contact customer service, the page goes back to the input email page or the page would show Something went wrong and start all over again. I have tried calling the said number on their Help page but the number is invalid from where I am from (***********). Please help me get my email account back, all my accounts are under that email. Please and Thank you.Business Response

On my previous iPhone, I used the Mail app for my Yahoo mail, an account Ive had since the late 90s. I still have services connected to this email address for bills. When I upgraded to a new iPhone, I was unable to log into Yahoo mail, whether through the Mail app or website. When I entered my password, it prompted me to change it, but in order to do so, it had to send an email to a backup email address I no longer have access to (previous business email). I called Yahoo yesterday to inquire about account recovery. After going through all the steps, including providing my ID for verification, I was informed I am not eligible for recovery because I am not subscribed to their tech support service, which has a charge. I view this as a way to extort money from longtime email account holders. I do not need the additional tech support service. I simply need access to my email that I know the password to. I have a vacation booked, and the confirmation emails were sent to my Yahoo account.Business Response

Was signed out of my yahoo account randomly. **************************************** Followed the steps on yahoo to be able to gain access of my account but wasnt successful due to me no longer having access to the phone number. I tried to get a hold of their customer support phone number and it was just a machine recording and it would hang up on me. Called 6x yesterday and 3x today and I cant get connected to a human. Yahoo wants us to pay for this customer support service in order to gain access back of our accounts but no one helps? No one gets back to you at all.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern,I am filing a complaint against Yahoo for denying me access to my long-standing email account despite proof of ownership.I created this Yahoo account as a minor over 20 years ago, when only a secondary email was required. I used an AOL address, which has since been deactivated. Recently, my password was changed without authorization. When attempting recovery, I verified my phone number successfully, but Yahoo insisted I also verify the inactive AOL email.Yahoo representatives informed me there was not enough verifiable information and instructed me to create a new account, even though my mortgage, taxes, and financial institutions are tied to this address. I was even told I could pay to unlock the account, which raises ethical concerns. This practice is unreasonable and harmful:Yahoo never required legacy customers to update recovery ************* verification should be sufficient proof of ownership.Forcing customers to abandon long-term accounts creates unnecessary disruption and security risk, especially as I was recently notified by Experian of a data leak.Requested Resolution: I am asking Yahoo to restore access to my account using phone verification or other verifiable methods, so I may secure my data and make plans to transition away from Yahoo.Business Response
