I am trying to recover my Yahoo account, which I can no longer access because I forgot the password and the recovery phone number linked to it was disabled right before I moved to ******. Despite providing information to verify that I am the rightful owner of the account, *********************** customer service repeatedly tells me that they are unable to help because I am currently located in ******, not ******************This is very frustrating and unacceptable. I am locked out of my own account with no option to recover it or prove my identity, even though Im willing to provide any verification ************ seeking assistance from Yahoo to properly verify my identity and help me regain access to my account. I feel like I am being unfairly denied support just because of my current location.Business Response

I have been locked out of my email account and the only way to get it unlocked is to call YAHOO's customer service who will charge me $12/month for customer service. It is a blatant money grab and the options they made available online do not apply to my situation since I do not have my recovery code. I am seeking to have access to my email again; I was never made aware of the paid customer support in the past and have had my email for over 10 years now.Business Response

Yahoo randomly kicked me out of my email and is requiring me to pay them to change my password as well as provide photo ID and a selfie to recover it. I havent had to sign in to my yahoo account for 10 years. The recovery email is no longer available to me. I have the same phone number but they wont offer security questions to prove its me or any other option to verify its me without paying. They are essentially extorting people for access to their email if they dont have current recovery information even though they never prompt you to update it. I dont want money. I just want access to my email that *** had for over 20 years!Business Response

Yahoo locked me out of my email account for no reason. They did not warn me that I was going to lose access to my email account. When I go in to log into my Yahoo email account, it then tells me that they need to send a code to a recovery method but the recovery method is an old phone number. The online virtual assistant said that I would need to call their PAID customer service line! What company charges for customer service. After doing research online, numerous people have stated that if your recovery option is an old phone then Yahoo will not give access back to your account. The recovery phone they show is a phone number that I have not had in 3 years! Obviously it was never an issue to them for 3 years. I believe this company just wants me to call in and have to pay them money. Im hoping the BBB will be able to assist me in getting my access back to my Yahoo email account that I have had for YEARS!Business Response

I've only had a yahoo email account for a couple months, but now I can't get past the 'I'm not a robot' pictures. I had it set up for 2 step verification and it worked fine, now it just keeps failing me and says I have to try again tomorrow. This so-called security stuff is getting so out of hand that websites are becoming unusable and it's incredibly frustrating that there is absolutely no one to talk to! I just want to be able to accesss my email using 2 step verification.Business Response

I need to change my recovery phone number for my email address. Yahoos customer service was not helpful. I tried to call them twice and they were not able to verify my documents. I dont want to keep calling customer service because they said I could get locked out of my account if we keep trying. I need access to my email address because it is the one I use for everything. The phone number on file does not work anymore and I do not have access to it. The email address I am trying to change the recovery phone number is the following:*****************************************************************Business Response
