    A year ago I realized that McAfee was charging me and my spouse for annual renewals. I contacted McAfee and they refunded most of my money but not all. I told them at this time to to remove the automatic payment feature and to delete my financial information. Today, they took $89.99 from our Paypal account. I have not used McAfee since early January 2023.I called McAfee and told them that I had already told them no more automatic payments. She said that I called and asked for the renewal. They say I will receive a refund in 3-5 business days.I just don't want to have anything to do with McAfee.

    I do not understand why BBB gives this company a A+ rating. LOOK at all the one-star reviews here. I have tried three times to cancel my subscription to their service, and they keep charging my credit card. I believe my only recourse at this point is to notify the credit card company. I have canceled online. They continue to charge me. I have called twice to cancel on the phone, and they continue to charge me.

    Operator was a bully trying to force me to not cancel my subscription. Repeatedly for over 15 minutes kept telling operator to cancel subscription and give a refund. Then had to argue for 15 more minutes to speak to supervisor. DO NOT USE McAfee!!!!!!Worst customer service ever!!!!

    Charged me for two subscriptions for three years for one device. Wouldn't give me a refund and I have viruses/malware on my computer even with their 100% guarantee on being virus free. This company is fraud. **************** tried to get me to upgrade before canceling a subscription and would in the end only let me cancel my subscriptions

    I installed PC ********* in 2022 and had been quite pleased with it. It renewed for three times the price in July. That would have been fine if it had worked once it renewed. The program repeatedly asks me to re-activate (for a fee). I have spent over 10 hours on either chat, phone, or with tech support logged in to my computer trying to resolve the issue. None of the reps know what they are doing to resolve the issue. On the first call, the rep uninstalled and reinstalled and gave up. On the second call, the rep told me I needed various updates to my computer (I did not). On the third call, the rep disconnected themselves and stopped troubleshooting. On the fourth attempt to resolve this, the representative did everything the other three had done including logging out while leaving my computer in an administrator profile. I called to demand a refund and was told I never spoke to technical support, that my subscription to another service was expired so this one was not working, and that I was outside of the window for a refund. The issue is still unresolved. I will not do business with this company again. Seriously, why no ZERO stars option here?

    AVOID McAFEE LIKE THE PLAGUE IT HAS BECOME!Once a praiseworthy cybersecurity company, McAfee has metamorphosed into the kind of thieving scam they're supposed to protect you from.After being dunned by them repeatedly for money that I didn't in fact owe (I had paid them $600 three months prior--to a company that McAfee claimed was a "scam," albeit one that happened magically to answer THEIR OWN PHONE LINE AND SELL ME THEIR OWN PRODUCT), I embarked on a Kafkaesque journey with a score of reps, most of whom contradicted one another and my account information on their own website.And oh Lordy, how they lied! And lied. And lied. When they grew sick of lying, they simply hung up the phone. They apparently knew NOTHING about my subscription(s), or even whether I had one. Or two. Or more. And how many devices they were "protecting." What they did know was that if they couldn't get more money out of me, they simply wouldn't cancel my subscription--or refund the measly $87 out of $600 that they said they were willing to refund, though they swore to high heaven that the cancellation and the refund were already processed (or, said some of the reps, a mere three business days away, or said other reps, not coming at all because I had never done business with them). Thieving liars all.McAfee should be drummed out of business. Unless you are an extreme and inveterate *********, DON'T GO NEAR THEM!!

    McAfee is by far the worst bunch of crooks there is on the planet. I signed up for a FRee trail and then I called to cancel them and they charged my account. I requested several times for them to cancel ANY and ALL subscriptions. Last year Sept 2022 I requested my bank Chase to credit my account and I called ********************** over 15 times with Asian people answering the phone & hanging up on me. I NEVER got my money back from McAfee. Then this year 2023 i have had 3 strokes and I am still waiting for disability and these crooks took another $119 out of my Chase account. They have a lot of nerve and I filed a claim with ********** again. This company needs to be sued and a class action suite should be filed against them to prevent them from STEALING money out of people's account. I am going to file a small claims suite against McAfee with my lawyers DSK law group. I am so tired of auto renewals that we as customers can NOT get out of the NIGHTMARE of these companies stealing our money and having access to our accounts. Please NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES OF MCAFEE they will steal you blind. I want ALL of my money back ASAP!!!

    My McAfee expired and I would get the pop *** asking to renew. I ignored them and continued using my computer. When reviewing my account statement one day I noticed a charge to my account from **********************. They had automatically enrolled me in the software. They did send an email that I ignored telling me they would do it, but I found it concerning that I did not actively input my credit card. I had gotten a new one since my first experience with the company so I am unaware how they got that information without my input. It is concerning and disappointing how the company operates as they had me in for automatic renewal as well.

    I called to request a refund that was removed from my acct without my consent. I spoke with Rep ***** wanted to transfer me to tech support. I asked her not to ** I wanted a refund. I said are you denying me a refund she giggled and hung up on me. Wowprofessional.
