1 starI had been using the free McAfee for years, I tried a "free" upgrade TRISL got 60 days. I was supposed to have been offered a chance to continue it after the trial was over. In stead I received a notice thanking me for buy the next month for an extremely high price. After a LONG and annoying phone call, they decided to refund me. Nest: a month later I was sent an email thanking me for buying their most expensive service charged to me. I contacted my lawyer. I had to cancel my credit card due to fraud of McAfee. McAfee is a fraudulent thief in my opinion.McAfee, LLC

1 starMcAfee products do not work. For one year I've had a subscription and it has not worked. Once a week for hours each time I have been on the phone or chat with McAfee trying to get it to work, it does not work to date. I paid for a service that does not work and am told each week by McAfee my case has been esculated and they will contact me to fix the issue but over the past year they do not contact me to fix their issues.McAfee, LLC

1 starI was charged $149.99 for a subscription renewal I didn't order. I thought it was fraud so I filed a complaint with my CC co. They recently concluded that it wasn't fraud. I called McAfee support, but couldn't understand 95% of what the agent said, so I don't know how it ended, except that the subscription is still in force and the request was resolved according to an e-mail I got while the phone conversation was still ongoing.I reached out to the community forum due to the communication issue and was contacted by an agent who set up a time for a phone call that never happened. I got a third "resolved" e-mail before the phone appointment time. If they refuse to cancel and refund the remainder because it's past the 30-day refund window, why don't they just say so? I'm so tired of the run-around. I'm retired and really can't afford this charge but I guess I'm stuck with it. I'll never touch their products again.Review fromJoe C

1 starI elected not to renew my subscription but this company continues to harass me with unwanted e-mails of renewal notices and threats of viruses, malware, etc. and have done so for over a year. They have even sent alarming pop-*** on my computer warning me of potential computer issues if I do not renew. Tired of being harassed.McAfee, LLC

1 starI uninstalled all McAfee products from my PC after a fresh install of Windows 11. While trying to install my normal programs I keep getting an alert that the firewall cannot be configured because McAfee Firewall is installed. There are no McAfee products visible in my Add/Remove Programs list. I downloaded and ran their software removal tool, ran it, and then rebooted my machine as instructed. The problem still persists and the McAfee Firewall is still blocking programs. My computer has been hijacked by their firewall. This is malware. The BBB still giving them an A+ rating. That shows that the BBB is being dishonest. Look at the customer reviews! 145 reviews with a 1 star rating! I guarantee it would be less than one star if they offered a 0 stars option. GET IT TOGETHER BBB! You are misleading consumers!McAfee, LLC

1 starI was charged for a McAfee account that was not mine. My credit card was charged $119.06 so I called them to inquire about the charge. The customer service rep looked at my account and saw that the service was not tied to my account. When I asked whose account it was, he was unable to locate the information. I asked him to look and see if the account was for my deceased husband and gave them his name. He said he didn't see anything under that name. He then told me I should contact the credit card company for an "order number". When I called the credit card company I was told there wasn't an order number available so I had to lodge a dispute. I was recently informed my dispute was not accepted because the account was under my deceased husband's name. It has been almost 2 years since he died and I contacted McAfee immediately after the charge appeared on my credit card. I do not think I should have to pay for an account for someone who is dead and I believe I took the necessary steps to resolve the issue.McAfee, LLC

1 starI have problem with McAfee software resolving a threat in a timely manner. I have bee though extended hold times and failure to resolve the issue. This has all occurred after the 60 day refund time limit for automatic renewal. Their response is on their own time and s does not take into consideration the customer's time constraints.McAfee, LLC

When i called saying i wanted to cancel the customer service rep was bullying me into not cancelling and saying he couldnt and called me stupid and all sorts of things. I got so angry I hung up and logged onto the website and easily cancelled. Ive been trying to speak with a supervisor for TWO DAYS stating they will call me back.McAfee, LLC
