    I contacted McAfee about hackers on my computer. They didn't educate me on very much, failed to call me back, and my computer is still hacked. It is a year old computer.

    On 07/09/2025 I purchased a computer, not an anti-virus plan. The same day I received an email invoice from McAfee for "Total Secure" for $699.99 along with a phone number to call if this "purchase" was unauthorized. I called and complained and got no assurance that the charge would be removed. So far this charge has not appeared on my credit card but I feel that this was a deceptive business practice by McAfee.

The price referenced is much higher than even our ********** services prices, and we also don't have any home user products at that price point. Additionally, McAfee does not have a product called Total Secure and I am unable to locate a McAfee account, or any support contact records, associated with the contact information provided.     If the review would let me leave negative star rating I would. I received a ppop up from your website telling me that my computer was being attacked and infected with all sorts of viruses and that I needed to renew my subscription- I did because I had had McAfee in the past which is why I believed I was safe to do so - my account pulled up and I renewed but the site would not let me get to anything - no virus vault, no removal tools, no nothing but screen after screen asking me for more personal info and a customer service chat box that told me it couldn't help me unless I called the number it listed - which was the wrong number by the way (by two numbers) it sent me to a live girls phone line. I had to get the correct number from the better business review site and I end up on perma hold. So here it is - CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTOON AND GIVE ME MY 135 DOLLAR REFUND. REMOVE MY I FORMATION FRO. YOUR SITE AND DO NOT SELL IT TO THIRD PARTIES. DO NOT SEND ME EMAILS SAYING YOU FOUND MY INFO ON THE DARK WEB BECAUSE I THINK YOU PUT IT THERE.

    Bought a new laptop and the manufacturers McAfee subscription was about to run out so I looked into renewing it. It was $25 for the year renewal with checking for my information on the dark web. So far the application has spammed me trying to get me to "upgrade" the service due to registry errors. when it can not even provide accurate information about what I have online. I have googled how to turn off notifications and at this point i am on the phone with a representative who is suggesting the same steps that are on ******. and that do not exist within the app. Their response is uninstall and reinstall the program. I understand this does work with some apps but that should not be an answer to always active programs. Would you uninstall your server because a menu is missing or would you back end fix it?

    ******** customer service! I had cancelled my suit renewal in 2024. Then in 2025 I was charged again. Took them almost 2 months to reimburse my money. I was told 4 times a supervisor would be contacting me. Never got a call. I had to keep calling. Never use them again. I would leave no stars if possible. I see others on here have had the same experience.

    Beware of the dreaded auto renewal. While Mcafee clearly states in their original contract that auto renew is turned on , they charge you for the most costly renewal services and up you for two years. Worse they renew you 30 days before your service ends. Legal yes , but just seems duplicitous for a company to engage in such chicanery. Basically your getting slammed for higher end services at multiple years unless you are fully aware to turn off auto renew. Buyer beware.....

    McAfee is a dishonest business. They claim they provide virus and identity protection for the entire family, but yet they only let you get coverage for one SS number. Their advertising explicitly claims 2 adults and 4 children, yet there is only one slot for a SS number allowed. How can someone get credit monitoring for 2 adults and 4 children if you can only submit 1 SS number. It is a lie.

    I received an invoice for service I don't have, I called and was told I did have it and I could not cancel it ! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, their customer service person was totally incoherent and he did not listen to my issue rather was telling me I don't have the right to cancel an account I never had.

    I have McAfee Advanced. I have called **************** twice about some of their features which have not worked as they advertise the product should since September 2024. **************** escalated my calls, and I was supposed to get a call back but McAfee never did so. They have never responded back to me on this ongoing issue with their product which I paid for.

    I bought a pc back in December that had Mcafee automatically installed as part of my purchase and has been a nightmare ever since. It automatically dafualts my browser to ***** even after I've changed it to ****** multiple times. I have attempted to uninstall Mcafee a hanful of times and been unsuccessful at remoing their malware and the yahoo defualt browser setting. And the kicker, after I tried to uninstill Mcafee, the option to delete the Yahoo defualt setting in chrome was greyed out. The Mcafee malware is so hard to remove from computers and it overrides the owners own credentials to remove settings set by their MALWARE. Mcafee should offer a free uninstall program that completely wipes their crapy malicious malware from computers. I can't believe this company is allowed to operate. Stay as far away from Mcafee products as you can.
