1 starDo not subscribe to this business. I could not download their app. The customer service rep told me to cancel ********************** and speak with another person in their company. I did this and they would not cancel. They stated "we have to do some searching". You have a virus that we can help you get off your system. Of course, a nominal fee. Ya right how about $450.00. You have to be kidding me. Anyway, when I said no I would not open my computer for them they hung up on me. Went to their live CHAT. they would not respond. I am stuck with their "virus protection" for the year which I cannot download on my computer.I have taken this company off of auto pay. Hope they cannot get me in August, **** for renewal.McAfee, LLC

Dear ****************,Thank you for your review. Based on your description, we have concerns you may have inadvertently contacted a third party support purporting to be McAfee. The price referenced is much higher than even our ********** services prices. McAfee does not charge a technician fee to assist with installation, and they would need to scan the device to determine the presence of a virus. I will be contacting you directly for further assistance on the matter. Please look for an email message from McAfee regarding your review to the address provided.Sincerely, *************************** Executive Customer Assistance Team, **********************Review fromCurtis M

1 starI created a ***** account due to the pop **** Drove me nuts. I do need to say, their ****** did take care of it. What I don't care for is their dishonesty on getting money out of people. Last year, I contacted McAfee's customer service b/c I found several charges on my credit card. I was told that they were renewal charges, and that I opened a new one, which didnt make sense to me as the charges were like 6 months apart. I thought the renewal was for a year. Either way I asked for a refund and only recieved 1 as it was still in their 'grace ******* for asking for refunds. I tried to explain that it was not me who reorded a subscription, but they didn't listen. Why would I do that 6 months after I alredy did it. I know what I did. Whatever..... done arguing. ****** learned. I wanted to close my account, but had to keep it open because I paid for it. I was told if I didnt want the charge to go thru the next year, was to remove my preference for autopay......which I did. I even received confirmation email. This year, I again found a charge on my credit card. I also checked my account and saw I was back on autopay, The lady told me of the importance of keeping autopy on which only tells me someone did something to put me back on autopay. Deceptive company. **************** does not listen. I asked for a check to be mailed to me for the refund, and it was put back on my credit credit card which I was clear as day for them to mail it to me. She informed me several times about refunds going back to the source of payment, but for my reasons only...which by the way is none of yours, I wanted a check. It's my money, I should get it the way I want it. I even told her my credit card was closed..then she tells me they will mail it. NOT... Done with McAfee,McAfee, LLC

Dear ******,This is *************************, with McAfee's Executive Customer Assistance Team. Thank you for your review. After checking our records, we can see that in August 2022, two separate subscriptions were purchased from our website for different services, McAfee PC Optimizer and McAfee Safe Connect. At the time of purchase, prior to the completion of the sale, the terms of the McAfee License Agreement and Auto-Renewal Policy must be accepted. We can see that you initially turned off the Auto-Renewal associated with your LiveSafe subscription in June 2023, but the Auto-Renewal associated with your McAfee PC Optimizer subscription remained until after the renewal took place in July 2023. Please note that the Auto-Renewal has to be disabled for each subscription individually. We understand that you requested to have your refund provided by check, however, this method is used in special circumstances. We can see that your refund was accepted by the financial institution associated with the payment method on file. Additionally, we can see that you contacted our support team one time since the account's creation, on July 26, 2023, in regard to the most recent charge on your McAfee account.I will be reaching out to you directly with more details regarding the refund that was processed on your account, to assist with locating it with your financial institution.Sincerely,************************* Executive Customer Assistance Team **********************Review fromCarolyn P

1 starThis business scams you. They charge your credit card for a renewal without your authorization, even when you have specifically called and said you want nothing more to do with their business.Customer service cannot help you. They charge 3 times what my current company charged for the same service. There was no evidence I even get any service from them.... just a charge. I don't know how to get my name off of their list. Changing auto renewal settings on line ( settings which you never have agreed to in the first place) is ineffective. Don't every use this company!McAfee, LLC

Hello **************, Thank you for your review. Please note that authorization to charge your payment instrument for renewal is given at the time of purchase, prior to the completion of sale, and again when accepting the terms of the McAfee License Agreement before use of our software. Thirty (30) days prior to the Auto-Renewal charge, an email is sent to the customer notifying them of the date their subscription will renew and the renewal price they will be charged at that time. Customers can stop the renewal at any time by logging into their accounts or contacting our support team. That being said, we see that a refund for the recent renewal was processed successfully when you contacted our support team on August 8th. You should see those funds available to you within 5 business days. Sincerely, *************************** Executive Customer Assistance Team, **********************Review fromLashunda C

Dear ****************,My name is *************************. I am on the Executive Customer Assistance Team at **********************. Apologies for any confusion regarding the automatic renewal. Customers must review and agree to the License Agreement before they can proceed with the download and installation of our products. Our License Agreement can be viewed at ******************************************************************. Thirty (30) days prior to the Auto-Renewal charge an email is sent to the customer notifying them of the date their subscription will renew and the renewal price they will be charged at that time. This notification also provides customers with instructions on how to unenroll from the program before they are charged. If you have any additional concerns in the future regarding your McAfee account, please feel free to contact me directly at ************. 1 starJust like many other recent reviews, I had a very bad experience with McAfee. They sent me notification on 7/6/23 stating that my current subscription expired on 7/5/23 and that I should make $97 payment to renew it. I made a payment, but when I went to install new subscription, I realized that my old one not only did not expire on 7/5/23, it was not expiring until 12/1/24. When I called on the next day to cancel the new subscription and get a refund for the 2nd one that was not needed, the agent would not refund my account and said that I now have 2 different coverages that would be combined into 1 better coverage. When I tried to install this new and "improved" coverage, it didn't work with my computer and the tech support even told me that this new coverage is not Supported. I had to call back again and requested for them to reinstate my original Total Protection that was expiring 12/1/24 and refund my credit card for the payment I made for the 2nd coverage that was not needed and was not Supported for my computer. On 7/19/23, I was told that my request was escalated to another department and that they would contact me in ***** hours. I called again today on 7/26/23 just to find out that nothing was being done. The first agent I called was yawning and hang up on me. The 2nd agent told me that there is nothing he can do and refused to connect me to his supervisor. This company just wants your money. Everything they do is geared to deceive you and their customer service just stalls until you give up or go pass the 30 days cancellation date,McAfee, LLC

1 starI've been trying for at least the last 3 weeks to get my refund for two cancellations of services.I received the first one around the 23rd of June, but your customer service never sent me the second one, and I been very polite and patient with customer service. They simply told me they are not going to send me the money, even though I have told them I can provide them with a copy of my bank statement, but even after that, all they have been doing is giving me the round around, they claimed they sent me both refunds the same day, but the bank only received one, but McAfee customer service does not believe me.My bank only received one, I've gone to the bank's branch twice, but **** of America does not have any records of receiving the second one, and I've been checking my bank statement every day, but there is no record of the second refund there.I want my money back, if you refuse to send it back to me, McAfee will be robbing me of my money.I have been reading some of the reviews and it clearly shows that you are doing this type of thing very often to other customers, and I will never consider doing business with McAfee ever again, and I will let all my friends and family to stay away from you guys.Oscar.McAfee, LLC

1 starI purchased a one-year subscription for one computer for $24.99 from McAfee. There was never ever any intention by the company to allow me to download the app. The sole purpose of this price was to have me call in so they could market me for other products. That is fraud and that is deception. They also have made the $24.99 purchase price and automatic payment which I never signed up for either. The person I spoke to in tech support which of course is offshore was very rude and disrespectful and these are the actual people that we are trying to protect against! Everything you ever saw in the news about **** McAfee is true!McAfee, LLC
