      I never started a subscription with Scribd yet I found it on my credit card statement. I thought, well maybe I did it by mistake, but they had no record of my email and I could not retrieve any kind of password. I could not call them to talk to anyone so I did online support. They could not find my email address in their system (it is the only email I have). They asked for my whole credit card number which I refused to give, I just gave them my last 4 digits and the last transaction date. They insisted on the whole number so I cancelled my credit card. No resolution from online support. Do not use this company.

      I signed up for a free trial for them and forgot about it once it expired, so they charged me $11.99 for a few months, no big deal. However one day I realized they had charged me $119.88 for a subscription instead of the usual $11.99 monthly fee. I requested for more details, they told me my account had somehow been converted from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription which I NEVER did, I hadnt even visited the site in months. I asked for more details again and explained this was done without my consent, they told me they couldnt provide me with more answers and they dont monitor who couldve done this to my account.

      Twice they deleted all my downloads in a couple weeks. Then they stopped letting me log in. I've been a loyal customer for years and this is my thanks. I've been blocked from logging in, my books were taken away from me, but will they continue dipping into my bank account? No. Don't trust this app!! I've been collecting books for years and then they just ripped them away. I contacted customer "service" and I was made aware that I must redownload them. So. I. Did. Now I can't even log on. I told them I live way off grid but who cares? Why should I get what I pay for? How silly of me to think I deserve what I pay for. Don't fall for the customer service lie. It's a super temporary fix to a permanent problem and bet they don't care. ************** at best.

      *** been charged twice once in May and once in June for something I never signed up for. I opened a ticket and someone only responded once back in the end of June saying they couldnt find an account with my email. Because I OBVIOUSLY never signed up. They stole my card information somehow and seeing as though they havnt answered my handful of emails since with charges information, I have to report the fraud to my bank and get a new card number.

      This company is crooked and is stealing money from people. I am unable to cancel my subscription and cannot get any help from anyone anywhere. BEWARE do not sign up for free subscription they will not let you cancel. Anytime I try and sign in then go to cancel it says something went wrong. It will NOT let me cancel. I am spreading the word do NOT use this company they are crooks.

      Don't remember signing up for this. I was looking back at my account activity and it has been charging me a monthly fee since Feb 2019!! No phone rep to help with the situation so I have to leave them a message on their website. The verification link failed multiple times and I have to change the email address to leave the message again. Finally getting back to me after 2 weeks, and told me that by their policy, they are not able to provide a refund until I canceled. I have been paying over 500 bucks over their subscription and they should be able to notice that there was no account activity. It was sooooo hard and difficult to get the refund (still unresolved) and hard to get in touch with their rep. NEVER USE THEM!

      Was forced to log in on a 30-day trial to see what they were when I realized they were not what I was interested in I tried to cancel. There is no option on their website to cancel. Tried the Contact Us option, complete joke, no way to cancel or actually contact them. Went to their ********* why do they even bother? Won't answer messages or respond to comments.**** and I have warned my credit card company that I will dispute any charges they file.

      Their subscription cancellation process is deliberately misleading. You need to press end subscription across multiple pages, and the button on the next pages require a scroll (at least on mobile).There is no purpose for this type of UX decision other than to continue charging people that arent giving their full attention to the cancellation process.While its not quuuite a scam, Im sure they make most of their money from people who dont realize theyre subscribed, while not being active users of the service.

      I never subscribed to this awful place, never even researched it, they started charging my card for a while and I have been emailing them, (i have copies of all emails) apparently they still want me to give them my debit card number in order to search for my info, scammers, I will not give them my information because I never subscribed with them, all of the blue I saw charges on my bank and upto date they still giving me the run around still charging every month, they need to stop doing that to people and refund the months that they have fraudulently charged my bank!!!
