    I reported a person trying to sell 8 puppies on Nextdoor multiple times, the complaint has been ignored. I want to know why. DFW has an extreme overpopulation of dogs. They are being dumped, neglected, abused, left out in extreme weather, ending ** in dog fighting rings and euthanized. I have been trying all kinds of ways to find out why my reporting of the incident is being ignored and keep going through online messages that lead me to no answers.

    Once again, next door has succeeded in deactivating. Somebody who was actually being the nice person for being 'disrespectful'. I was being called names by somebody whom I ended up reporting over it and somehow I got deactivated but their comments are still posted. This is not the first time I have been singled out on this website and it seems like reviewers have a bias and remove who they want instead of actually making the app a safe place to agree and disagree. I should be able to have a Respectful conversation with somebody who does not call names when they do not get their way And I should not be removed for doing so while the name caller gets to stay connected.

    The main issue with this neighbor and the reason for the suspension is because even though it was reactive, the incivility was in her comments as well. Provoked, or unprovoked, neighbors are held accountable to their words. And we've been discussing this with this neighbor since 2018.

    I am rejecting this response because: this website is like a modern day bully. Biased moderation is rampant and I was targeted several times. Nextdoor is like high school and the moderators are your peers and if they don't like you, they remove you and justify it however they want. I was allowed to be bullied in private messages and on posts and I was targeted when defending myself respectfully and the name callers and hardasers were allowed to stay while I was banned. This is a common theme amongst complaints and why this business has a 1 star rating. I was reprimanded and removed several times for things that were reversed because the decisions, at the end of the day, were ultimately wrong. its not ok to allow the community to bully and ****** others then remove them when they respond civilly to others who were less than civil. Someone calls me a ***** repeatedly and I reported several times and it was allowed to stay but I respond with 'you can't teach what you don't know' and it leads to ME being deactivated rather than removing the original offender before allowing me to be bullied.

    Regardless of who deactivates accounts., the moderation is biased. Once again, that is why you have a one star rating. This business is failing. Several of the comments in the screenshots above are still posted while im still removed. You also failed to remove the person who was threatening me in my inbox. I reply with ' you cant teach what you dont have' and im removed but people repeatedly name calling and having less than adult convos are looked over. I was definitely targeted.

    Nextdoor.com is the MAIN PLATFORM for neighbors to discuss HOA issues. Yet the Nextdoor.com complaint process "presume guilt first" and automatically suspends your account based on false allegations. Their complaint process effectively enables retaliation/censorship by HOAs which is in violation of ********** ***** Stirling Law AB ****. Retaliatory HOA board members use Nextdoor.com to censor legal discussion about HOA issues. It takes seconds for an abusive HOA to shut down your account. ******************** does not even notify the account holder. Yet it takes weeks reinstate your account. Fair housing laws apply to HOAs as they are effectively landlords.

    A few weeks ago, I posted about my antique car (family heirloom) being stolen out of my elderly fathers garage. I was angry-I believe rightfully so-and asked for help locating the car, and the thief. Basically, 96% percent of users on the app agreed and were very supportive, however; there were a couple of users who reported my post, accused me of lying and were just plain nasty. In the end, they reported my post for violating guidelines.after thousands of views and many comments, the post was deleted by Nextdoor with no notice; no option to even edit to their liking. It seems as though Nextdoor favors nasty people who victim shame. Victim shaming is listed as a violation guideline on NDs app, yet what I posted was not, and yet my entire post was deleted? I am VERY upset about this; as I see it as hindrance to locating my car. Also, I have blocked these specific users; yet Nextdoors block isnt actually a block-the users can STILL see my activity on the platform and harass me. If a block was a block, then these awful people wouldnt be able to harass me and report my post. Plus, if they dont like it, then I guess they wouldnt have to be subjected to it!

    The neighbor's post was a violation of our public shaming guideline. She could've reported the situation and not publicly attacked the neighbor. And she was only warned, not suspended, for complaining about moderation which is a violation of the guidelines.

If your car was stolen, would that be your response? This is pathetic. The so called neighbor is NOT even on Nextdoor. Furthermore, I was trying to get leads as to where my car is!

    This company needs to review its unsubscribes for their emails. I have unsubscribed close to 10 times and continue to receive emails from this company. I would like for them to stop.

    I am a Founding Member of NextDoor, social network. I serve as the lead in my neighborhood. They have arbitrarily blocked my account because I submitted an entry on crime on the *******************************************************************************. My entry was factual according to ****** Acting Chief of Police **************************. Without due process a NextDoor person found my entry uncivil and disabled my account.NextDoor is important in many neighborhoods including mine.NextDoor's complaint system is rated 1 star of 5 by *************** and SiteJabber.NextDoor needs to replace their arbitrary complaint system with a fair, due process dispute resolution system.One can go to *************** and see hundreds of complaints about NextDoor's arbitrary disabling of accounts.Maybe BBB can assist them. *****************, former BBB Arbitrator

    I am rejecting this response because:    SiteJabber and ******************* has rated NextDoor's customer service including its complaint service as ONE STAR out of five.   It is well deserved.   Look at their response.   It is unthoughtul or insightful.   Our major complaint is that NextDoor does not have a fair, due process, transparent complaint system.  If an entry seemingly bothers a person based on their opinion, WITHOUT WARNING OR NOTICE, the account is disabled.   In my entry I noted that a block in my neighborhood was horribly crime ridden.  I stated the exact same thing that the **************** NPR WAMU and DCist have said.   I said the same thing that our ************* Chief has said.  I called no one names nor did I use expletives.   None of my colleagues who have reviewed my entry understand how it was uncivil.

    Further, in the NextDoor one liner, they speak of "other violations" of which I have NEVER BEEN INFORMED so this demonstrates their lack of transparency.

    Further, they threatened my position as Lead through which I have performed excellently.    Making THREATS is uncivil.

    NextDoor needs to seek the assistance of dispute resolution specialists to create a fair, due process, transparent complaint management process.

    Also, I have 5 examples from my Sister who is on NextDoor where neighbors are calling each other names and they are not cited or disabled.   Enforcement is very UNEVEN.

    We may give a warning in some instances, but if a violation happens on Nextdoor that is necessary for an account to be suspended, we will suspend without warning. We need to get harmful responses off the website immediately.

    Also, we do have an appeals process for content, and soon, will also have one for suspensions.

    My account was disabled September 4 citing violation of Community guidelines. 1. Claimed another neighbor bipolar. I did not call them bipolar. The neighbor had posted the same comments, then combined their names on another. I asked who it was, ** said he was both. On the next post I asked which was commenting or if they were bipolar answering both posts. 2. ********* post in wrong area. It was an existing post by another neighbor. I was actually standing up for Nextdoor guidelines and said political posts are not allowed. Another neighbor made a specific political endorsement of *****. I was giving an example, not making an endorsement, of how her statement might sound to her if someone endorsed ***********3. Same as 2. Again another neighbor posted incorrect information about climate change. It was already a national post. I and others, provided correct scientific information. 4. They claimed I had previously been warned. However the incidents cited had previously been resolved and Nextdoor sent me an apology stating it was their error. None of my comments were hateful or disrespectful. They were factual, and those reporting me disagree but that was why they reported me. Nextdoor chooses to mete out punishment based upon the number of complaints, rather than the veracity and relevance of the complaints.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    The response fails to acknowledge my written response and explanation. They continue the facts and context of my comments. 
    I am responsible for my comments, but do not agree they violated ND guidelines, particularly since ND allowed the posts to contain content similar to mine that they didnt flag as a violation of their guidelines before I was involved.
    ND should accept responsibility for not responding to my complaint about ** admitting having and responding to two accounts. Failing to do so led to a legitimate comment, not not a trivialization. 
    They also allowed posts regarding political enforcements and global issues, before and after I commented on them, but only made mine an issue after I filed this complaint. 
    ND does not provide any verification that my comments were hateful or disrespectful or violated any of their community guidelines, unlike the comments I was replying to. Their action against me was discriminatory, arbitrary, and capricious solely because of unfounded complaints by others that disagreed with my comments. They cant show that they took any action on others involved in the same conversations with similar comments.

    Next door has totally Ignored my complaint and response to their allegations and given me conflicting messages. They have made a mockery of the BBB process by simply delaying until they get what they wanted. Then another person has said they dont understand why my suspension is taking so long to resolve and told me I don't know why it shows that for you but if you would like, you can respond to this on October 1 and we can reactivate you early. Since that is tomorrow, if they follow through with this offer, I will withdraw my complaint.

    Nextdoor bans speech, blocks opinions and censors information, and in doing so has deleted my comments and suspended my account. I contacted support to delete my account and they refused to do so because my account was suspended, stating that gave them the right to keep my personal information forever. I want my personal information deleted from their system.

    I am rejecting this response because I want my personal information removed from nextdoor. My account was suspended for three days for offensive language. I asked what comment I made that had offensive language. This was their reply:

    As stated before, we will not be able to delete your account because you made the following comment on 09/08/2023:

    "yes, ND is fully part of the Marxist/woke agenda taking over our country. If you are sick of people complaining about it why are you posting their rules so people will reply to you. For the woke agenda to succeed, empirical evidence, truth, common sense, coherent arguments, all must be shut down. ND thanks you for your support."

    Apparently opinions are offensive language at nextdoor, I want nothing to do with nextdoor and want my personal information removed from their system. They absolutely do not have the right to keep my information just because they disagree with my opinion. A new law has passed in my state that will make it illegal for an online company to refuse to delete private information when requested, and it will cost nextdoor $75,000 per occurrence. Unfortunately it wont go into effect until ****. When nextdoor told me they wouldnt remove my information they said:

    We are unable to comply with your request for deletion of your personal information, as it is necessary for us to maintain this information for reasons that *** include maintaining the security of our platform, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and/or exercising or defending legal claims.

    Now they are saying they will keep my information for a year, probably because they know they cannot hold it longer without being subject to large fines when the law takes affect.

    The resolution that I will accept is removal of my personal information from nextdoor.

    I am a reviewer for my local Nextdoor. Or I was until yesterday. Recently reviewers have been violating the code of conduct which says we are to keep names of reporters and reviewers confidential. I've complained directly to support about biased voting. They may take down posts or suspend violators of guidelines but nothing is being done to the reviewers.Yesterday my account was deactivated because someone FALSELY claimed I do not live at the address given to ND. The warning email I got was buried in my spam folder so I couldn't stop it. Upon reactivation I was no longer a reviewer.This all occurred just after 8 or 9 comments from the same person we're removed. Obviously someone on the review team told him I reported him and he retaliated.Here is the code of conduct 4. Maintain confidentiality: Access to additional information about posts in your neighborhood is a privilege that comes with being a part of a Community program. We ask that Leads and Review Team members keep reported content and Nearby Reviewer conversations confidential, as well as the voting history of other program participants. So members publicly posting that I'm a reviewer and reported them means they are being told by members of these teams.

    I am thrilled to be back on ND and to be reinstated but nothing has changed.

    The biased moderation is still going on. We have members bragging about coming back from suspensions and reviewers welcome them back. Yet we have a 91 year old man who keeps getting suspended because he estates he doesn't understand why he was suspended to begin with. Just yesterday he had two reviewers attacking him telling him to stay in his private group to post his little life stories.

    Today 9/17 I found a post I reported that clearly violates guidelines left up because the reviewers that got it have issue with me following the rules.

    There are lots of member who follow the rules but ND keeps the ones that vote with bias. I know multiple people who have stopped using the app because of being abused by members and the biased moderators doing nothing.

    Also ALL my groups including the one I started are gone!!!

    I have attached some screenshots that were sent to Nextdoor or showed posts I reported but not removed until after I reported to support. As I can not see who voted I am unable to say which mods are being biased
